Both the Tian Guang Clan Leader and the Star Feather Clan Leader frowned. This indeed was a problem. The asymmetry of information posed a devastating blow to the three armies.
"Ling Feng, do you have any ideas?" The Tian Guang Clan Leader looked at Ling Feng.
The Star Feather Clan Leader smirked. He initially wanted to say, "What capabilities does this guy have?" but recalled Ling Feng’s earlier two Divine Techniques that nearly annihilated fifty thousand Puppet Insects, so he held his tongue and respected the powerful.
Ling Feng looked at the three and said solemnly, "Our biggest disadvantage right now is that we’re constantly under the surveillance of the Puppet Matriarch. Haven’t we considered any methods to prevent the Puppet Matriarch’s detection?"
"Easier said than done, it’s not that simple!" The Star Feather Clan Leader said indifferently, "The entire Endless Battlefield is occupied by Puppet Insects. Can we turn into Puppet Insects?"
Ye Mei also said, "Ling Feng, we’ve thought about this too, but we haven’t found any solution. We tried to conceal our breath, but there are just too many Puppet Insects in the Endless Battlefield for us to evade."
Ling Feng smiled lightly, "What if I have a way to conceal everyone’s breath?"
"You have a way?" The crowd was stunned, "What way do you have?"
Ling Feng said casually, "By utilizing Puppet Insects. Of course, my method isn’t guaranteed to succeed, but I believe it’s worth trying!"
Ling Feng’s method was quite straightforward; it involved utilizing the capabilities of Formation and Mechanical Core to transform Puppet Insects, thereby retaining their original aura while seizing control!
This way, the three armies could use the Puppet Insects to conceal their breath and sneak in covertly.
But this method required Ling Feng to personally experiment since it was only his idea thus far and had not been proven.
Ling Feng headed to the battlefield and found a dying Puppet Insect whose crimson eyes stared fiercely at Ling Feng as if trying to bury him in memory.
Ling Feng smiled slightly, placed his hand on the Puppet Insect, and operated his Mechanical Core, transmitting streams of energy from his palms into the Puppet Insect.
The Puppet Insect struggled relentlessly, but in its current weakened state, it couldn’t break free from Ling Feng’s control.
After dozens of breaths, the red glow in the Puppet Insect’s eyes vanished, and it fell to the ground like a paralyzed machine.
"Failed?" The Tian Guang Clan Leader couldn’t help but ask from behind Ling Feng.
The Star Feather Clan Leader shrugged and said, "I knew it would turn out this way. These Puppet Insects are controlled by the Puppet Matriarch; how could you possibly control them? Stop daydreaming!"
"I’m sorry to disappoint you," Ling Feng said flatly, "but... I succeeded!"
"What? Succeeded?" Ye Mei’s eyes lit up, "Really?"
Ling Feng smiled gently, clapped his hands, and to everyone’s surprise, the giant Puppet Insect’s eyes flashed red again. This time, though, there was no intent to kill; it crouched at Ling Feng’s feet like a tame kitten.
"Go!" Ling Feng pointed forward, and the Puppet Insect surged ahead like a fast-speeding train.
Soon, it returned, its hands now holding a pile of Puppet Insect Cores.
"Ling Feng, have you seized control of this Puppet Insect?" Everyone stared at Ling Feng in disbelief.
Ling Feng shrugged, "It’s evident. The Puppet Matriarch is powerful, but don’t forget she needs immense spiritual power to control billions of Puppet Insects. This spiritual power, spread thinly across each Puppet Insect, results in a Spiritual Imprint that’s not very strong. Seizing control isn’t terribly hard."
"The only challenge might be the method of fighting for Spiritual Imprints. By coincidence, I happen to know this method! So controlling this Puppet Insect was a piece of cake."
Ye Mei couldn’t help but exclaim, "Impressive."
Ling Feng chuckled, "It’s too soon to celebrate. There’s one final step to verify - whether it can smoothly blend into the Puppet Insect swarm! So, I’ll investigate first!"
Ling Feng then leaped into the Puppet Insect’s body, which flew towards the Abyssal Battlefield’s horizon with crimson eyes aglow.
"Is Ling Feng okay?" Ye Mei asked worriedly.
The Tian Guang Clan Leader shook his head, "There should be no problem. Ling Feng’s strength... it’s greater than we perceive!"
The Star Feather Clan Leader frowned slightly without saying anything.
Ling Feng controlled the racing Puppet Insect, soon breaking away from the main force and delving deep into the Endless Battlefield’s Puppet Insect territory.
"So many Puppet Insects!" Ling Feng thought to himself en route.
Meanwhile, Ling Feng’s heart carried a bit of vigilance, for he was now advancing alone. If other Puppet Insects noticed anything abnormal, he’d fall into the Ambush from Ten Sides.
But the scene Ling Feng worried about didn’t come. The Puppet Insects behaved as if they hadn’t detected anything unusual; they showed no reaction to Ling Feng’s Puppet Insect.
"Finally succeeded!" Ling Feng felt slightly excited. This success meant he could lead the three armies into the depths of the Endless Battlefield or around the Mother Nest, significantly increasing the odds of exterminating the Puppet Matriarch!
With that, Ling Feng controlled the Puppet Insect and roamed around several more times without any abnormality from the others before returning to the base.
"How did it go?" As soon as he returned, the three leaders hurriedly asked.
