Chapter 633: Videl’s apprenticeship (1)
Away from the urban area, the surrounding scenery was gradually replaced by yellow soil and rocks. From a distance, a jet motorcycle was speeding along forty centimeters above the ground, kicking up yellow sand to form a long tail of smoke behind the motorcycle.
Videl was wearing goggles and speeding towards Goku City. The fierce wind passed by her face, her black hair swaying with the wind.
Two days had passed since the World Martial Arts Tournament ended. In the end, Videl, who did not get to meet Yajirobe as she wished, got angry and set off on the road to Goku City.
“Dad lied to me, he didn’t have any plan to take me to see Mr. Yajirobe.” Videl felt sad and embarked on the journey alone.
After half a day, she gradually entered an uninhabited area.
Videl parked the motorcycle on the side of the road, took out a map and carefully checked it. “After travelling some more, I will enter the area of Goku City.”
Putting away the map, Videl started the jet motorcycle and continued on her way. Sure enough, it didn’t take long before the city line came into view. If she keeps going forward, she will reach Goku City.
Just then, she saw an overturned truck completely blocking the narrow road, which was the only way to Goku City. Surprised, Videl observed her surroundings as a trace of doubt flashed in her eyes.
“This road is just a small path, and it is usually only used by motorcycles. Why would it have an overturned truck here?” Videl felt it odd and carefully observed the surroundings. She soon found traces of people lying in ambush behind the mounds on both sides not far away, and immediately sneered,‘It seems that I’ve encountered bandits’.
“But setting up an ambush on the road leading to Goku City, do these people have some problem with their brains?” She showed doubts.
Everyone knows that now Goku City is one of the nine sacred cities with the same reputation as the Sacred Land of Korin. People who come to Goku City are not only businessmen who are engaged in business, but also martial artists who come due to its fame. Why would ordinary businessmen pass from this small path? They all go through the big highways. Most of those who dare to go through here are martial artists with some skills.
In Videl’s view, choosing this place to lie in ambush is really lack of thinking. Or maybe they are specially waiting for a fat sheep who would take a desperate risk? It is undeniable that when a group commits a crime, it is easier for them to succeed against a single person, but similarly there is also a great chance of encountering an expert.
But unfortunately for them, Videl is a person with some skills.
“Don’t know how many people these robbers have harmed. I will bring them to justice.” Rolling her eyes, Videl, who was bursting with righteousness, seemed to have sensed a mission and decided to capture all these robbers.
Videl jumped off the motorcycle, then pressed a button on the motorcycle to change it back to Hoi-Poi Capsule. Then she looked left and right, carefully surveying her surroundings.
“Come out, I have already discovered you people.”
The sharp and clear voice was full of a spirited aura. Videl boldly walked over to the truck and shouted at the people hiding behind the mounds.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
More than ten robbers in turbans walked out from behind the mounds carrying guns, and soon surrounded Videl. The black barrels were aimed at her, as if they would fire at any time.
“So it’s just a little girl. You’d better be sensible and hand over all of your belongings.” The fierce leader of the robbers spat, put the barrel of the gun on his shoulder, and waved his hand. The subordinate next to him sent out a signal flare, and immediately a cloud of dust rose in the distance as four or five armored vehicles came over surrounded by dust.
Soon, more than a dozen heavily armed robbers had come over.
“Are they all here now?” Videl muttered to herself and wasn’t flustered at all, looking at the robbers with an indifferent expression.
“Boss, she doesn’t seem to be afraid of us.” The subordinate beside him yelled.
The leader hit his subordinate’s head and said with a sinister expression: “Then you don’t have to be courteous to her. Kill her, and then look for the Hoi-Poi Capsule on her body. Look at her clothes, she should be very rich.”
“Yes.” After receiving the boss’s order, the more than 30 robbers burst into loud laughter and simultaneously aimed their guns at Videl.
Du du du du!
Half-inch long streaks of fire shot out of the gun barrels followed by an unpleasant smell of gunpowder. A concentrated mass of bullets struck Videl. If she was an ordinary person, facing so many bullets, she would have turned into a sieve.
But Videl is different. She is a martial artist, moreover her strength is not weak. When the bullets shot over, she nimbly dodged left and right. The strength of a martial artist was revealed at this time. Videl responded calmly as her flexible body was like a loach, running around in front of the robbers.
“Aim properly idiots, she has dodged them.”
The leader yelled loudly and stepped forward to start firing himself.
Bang! The bullet grazed Videl’s cheek, the blazing trajectory leaving behind a hot sensation on her face. Videl’s light blue eyes condensed, she stepped forward and suddenly disappeared from sight.
“Damn it, where did that brat go?” A trace of anger flashed in his eyes; the bandit leader was very dissatisfied. A trace of viciousness flashed across his dark face and he sprayed bullets around in all directions with the gun. “So this detestable brat is a martial artist. But no matter how fast you are, you can’t dodge my bullets.”
“Really?” A clear voice rang beside his ears, and the bandit leader’s expression became tense. He was dumbstruck to see that Videl had been standing in front of him for some time, holding a large amount of bronze bullets in her hand.
Clank, clank, the sound of the bullets falling to the ground was very clear. All the robbers looked as if they had seen a ghost when they saw this and couldn’t help but move back a few steps before swallowing their saliva. “She caught the bullets.”
“I can see it.” The bandit leader’s expression looked very ugly.
At this moment, Videl leaned forward slightly, and then quickly disappeared. The robbers suddenly became nervous and looked around alertly, but only saw countless blurry figures everywhere in their field of vision. Suddenly, a sharp pain came from their stomachs, then their eyes turned white and they passed out.
Badly wounded, dozens of figures fell to the ground.
“Humph, you want to rob me with such insignificant skills.”
Videl clapped her palms and shook off the gun smoke sticking to her body, then entered the armored car of the robbers, found a bundle of hemp rope to tie up the robbers, and then took out her mobile phone to call the police.
After the call, Videl checked the time and was about to continue on her journey.
At this time, a shadow flashed in the sky, attracting Videl’s attention. She raised her head and was surprised to find a magical golden cloud in the sky floating more than ten meters above the ground.
A purple-haired boy waved at her and then jumped down from the golden cloud.
Videl has never seen a cloud that people can ride. At first, she thought it was some new technology but when she saw the purple-haired boy, Videl was surprised.
It was a sunny boy about 13 or 14 years old, who was decently dressed and carried a bag around his waist. He has light purple hair just covering his ears and a pair of purplish pupils emitting a faint light. He looked stylish with his curly hair sticking out in front of his forehead.
