Chapter 662 - Grave Consequences

Chapter 662: Grave Consequences

Menacing murderous aura surged from Chu Feng. His furrowed brows and dark eyes gleamed furiously like the flames from hell, filled with strong killing intent.

He wanted nothing more than to kill Wei Tiansheng immediately. He had held back for far too long. After saving Uncle Ming, it was about time to settle the scores with these few people.

“Flying spear!” Xi signaled.

Chu Feng grasped on the signal. The flying spear was a saint weapon that was materialized from the spaceship. The azure weapon was densely laced with runes and possessed unparalleled sharpness.

“Uncle Ming, you must be well!” Chu Feng uttered under his breath, hoping for the safe return of Uncle Ming’s head. He gritted his teeth and hurled the spear out from the ship.

“Wei Tiansheng, I will let you live for a while longer!” Chu Feng growled as he suppressed his fury when he noticed the intervention of the quasi-saint, trying to stop Uncle Ming.

Similarly, Yuwen Chengkong unleashed his wrath. The unimaginable lethal aura permeated the air and shook the Heaven and earth. The tremor almost caused the moon to fall out from space—this was the might of a saint.

“Ah…”

Nine Yin Sparrow howled as he was both stupefied and outraged. How could he ever tolerate anyone trying to disrupt the vital moment in the process of his sanctification?

He wanted to make a move but failed. He was driven backward by the immense force, much stronger than the strength supplied by a veteran Heavenly Knight.

Yuwen Chengkong’s situation was not any better, either, as a blast of blazing light struck down on him. As soon as the green lotus leaf carried Uncle Ming away, Xi launched her attack on Yuwen Chengkong.

Chu Feng and her both agreed that Yuwen Chengkong must be killed first before Nine-Yin Sparrow as the former possessed formidable ability and strength. The latter, however, was never the concern as he was the most useless.

Boom!

A big explosion erupted in front of the altar. The beam emitted by the spaceship sent chills down one’s spine and was enough to destroy terrifying existences. Yet, Yuwen Chengkong withstood the blast while respiring the essence of the sun and the moon. The asteroids and meteorites in the outer domain trembled and fell down.

In fact, he was dying to swallow the green leaf along with Uncle Ming’s head!

“Where do you think you’re going?!”

Yuwen Chengkong roared as his hair flew about and his armor shone brightly. Abruptly, he blew out a mouthful of air, the blast producing terrifying black crevices through the void.

In a dash, he caught up wanting to grasp on the green leaf along with Uncle Ming’s head. Such was a prowess of a saint.

At the same time, the meteorites summoned by Yuwen Chengkong poured down from outer space akin to an apocalypse. The impact blasted onto their ship’s hiding place and destroyed their over.

In the midst of the chaos, the other quasi-saints made a move to kill Uncle Ming.

Tsch!

The spear that was shot out from the ship attacked the quasi-saints and obstructed them, hoping to buy more time for the leaf to bring Uncle Ming away safely.

Pfft!

The formidable azure spear easily pierced through the hand of a quasi-saint and created a bloodied scene. It had established its might immediately.

However, Yuwen Chengkong was the most frightening. His cultivation as a saint was in full display and everything paled in comparison. His body multiplied in size, and his mouth was opened absurdly wide. He intended to swallow down everything within his sight including the sun and the moon, rivers, and mountains.

The green leaf and Uncle Ming’s head was within the threatening grasp of his gargantuan hand. It was terrifying.

Buzz!

In that crucial moment, the void exploded and the Heavenly Umbrella descended, enveloped by a burst of radiance which emitted unimaginable force.

Bam!

The moment Yuwen Chengkong’s gargantuan hand landed an attack on the umbrella, an unexpected outburst of destructive energy erupted therein, reducing the surrounding great peaks into dust.

That would’ve been the fate of Uncle Ming if not for the shelter of the Heavenly Umbrella.

Chu Feng and Xi felt relieved that they hadn’t used the Heavenly Umbrella to attack but instead as their defense. Otherwise, they would be in dire straits.

Failing to save the person and instead causing him to die would result in great pain and remorse.

Swoosh!

At last, the green leaf carrying Uncle Ming safely made its way back to the spaceship after persisting through the void. They had made it!

Meanwhile, their victory fueled Yuwen Chengkong’s raging anger. Blood trickled down from his gargantuan hand, throbbing with unspeakable pain. He never expected his full-fledged attack not only left the umbrella unscathed, but he almost lost his hand from the impact. The backfire tore the flesh on his hand and the bones were fractured, fresh blood streaming profusely from the open wound.

He was a saint who possessed enough power to bring down a planet with a slap of his hand, and yet, he had suffered such a blow from an umbrella.

He could’ve easily ruined the entire planet if the incident hadn’t taken place in the sturdy sacred grounds of the Nine Nether Planet.

“Argh!!”

Yuwen Chengkong roared and spat out a wisp of his aura. That was a beam of light produced by operating his breathing technique to its extremes. It transformed into a sword with which he intended to pierce through the umbrella.

One could tell that the sword encapsulated the most terrifying amount of power in the whole galaxy.

Yet, the umbrella blocked the berserk attack from Yuwen Chengkong. The surface of the blue umbrella emitted a blinding light as it deflected the attack with the exact amount of energy and almost annihilated everything. It was no myth that this horrifying tool was truly a saint-slaughtering godly weapon.

Yuwen Chengkong retreated in time, and a halberd appeared in his grip. The dazzling snow-white razor-sharp crescent-shaped blades lacerated the sky and illuminated the outer realm.

The halberd was a saintly weapon. The moment the weapon was shot out, even those in the distant stars could see its radiance and feel its terrifying aura.

One of the five moons of the Nine Neither Planet was obliterated as the razor-sharp brilliance lacerated the sky earlier.

How terrifying and shocking this saintly weapon was!

Buzz!

Yuwen Chengkong swung the halberd and slashed through the sky. The snow-white brilliance overpowered all the stellar rays as he aimed to shatter the surface of the umbrella.

A shocking turn of events happened right in front of his eyes as the halberd was swung down. With a light cracking sound, the razor sharp weapon that landed on the umbrella was broken off in the blink of an eye.

Yuwen Chengkong was perturbed and his blood ran cold. His saintly weapon was known for its overwhelming might, yet it was easily deformed at the lightest contact.

He was taken aback and quivered as that was the method of an elite level saint. He realized that he was never a match against that godly weapon and admitted his defeat.

Yet, he realized it all too late. A vague reflection of an old man emerged on the surface of the umbrella and the object started to spin like a top. The energy released therein was absolutely terrifying.

Pfft!

In the end, Yuwen Chengkong’s arm was contorted and finally severed from his shoulder. He was like a mere feeble mortal and not an impenetrable high and mighty saint.

“Ahhhhh…” Yuwen Chengkong wailed in agony. He had almost forgotten when was the last time he had taken such a loss. He hadn’t been injured much since becoming a saint.

Yuwen Chengkong turned around and tore through the void. He appeared at the altar in no time and got ahold of Nine-Yin Sparrow to retreat. He didn’t want to take the risk to face an elite level saint as he knew death was imminent if they were to exchange blows.

Buzz!

The Heavenly Umbrella spun over like a black hole, destroying the void and blasting it open. It immediately blocked their path of retreat.

“Kill!!”

Yuwen Chengkong materialized his deformed halberd, and once again charged forward toward the blue umbrella with all his remaining sanity and strength.

Crack!

His halberd broke into pieces this time. The spinning umbrella became as sharp as an immortal cutting sword and ultimately destroyed Yuwen Chengkong’s halberd.

The undefeated razor-sharp halberd was a saintly weapon, supposedly powerful enough to pierce through any planet and turn the skies into dust with no effort.

Yet it was destroyed in front of his very eyes. Right at that moment, a black hole full of menacing energy appeared when the void was blasted open.

Pfft!

Yuwen Chengkong was almost completely slaughtered by the black hole. Half of his body was cruelly turned into a messy, bloody pulp.

The much weaker Nine-Yin Sparrow couldn’t withstand the attack and had a worse end. His body was broken into pieces, and in the end, only a head and a shoulder were left.

Tsch!

Yuwen Chengkong held onto Nine-Yin Sparrow’s shoulder and leaped into a forcibly opened black hole. He fled away leaving behind massive amounts of spiritual blood which emitted a blinding brilliance.

The Heavenly Umbrella wanted to chase after them, but the blood transformed into runes and stopped not only the pursuit but also caused a large explosion.

“Damn it! This is unfair!” Nine-Yin Sparrow’s exasperated and resentful growl was heard as he was pulled away. He was infuriated beyond words.

His wish was to become a saint. All the preparations had been set up, and finally, he was going to enjoy standing on the pinnacle, about to enjoy the glory of being worshipped by the strongest. He had never expected that his plans would all be ruined at the most crucial moment. Not only was Uncle Ming’s head taken away, but he had no choice but to escape unwillingly with an incomplete, bloodied body.

Facing the humiliation of utter defeat, Yuwen Chengkong carried him and fled like a dog running with its tail between its legs.

Chu Feng’s dissatisfaction wasn’t any lesser. He yelled in anger wishing nothing more than to finish off the two Heavenly Knights, namely Yuwen Chengkong and Nine-Yin Sparrow.

But, deep down he knew that he was merely borrowing external weapons from Xi. This kind of achievement could already be considered heaven-defying enough. There was nothing he could do about the two that had escaped.

More importantly, he concentrated his focus on Wei Tiansheng as he swore not to let him escape. With the weapon on the spaceship, he locked down his aim and went all-out on Wei Tiansheng.

Continuous shots of energy beams swept away all the saint-leveled altars.

Wei Tiansheng wanted to retreat as well but was blocked by Xi. At this moment, she was no longer dealing with Yuwen Chengkong, so the Heavenly Umbrella changed its trajectory toward Wei Tiansheng.

Wei Tiansheng had already tried to tear the void many times but found that his efforts were futile. The azure spear and a mysterious black colored shield emerged in the air and solidified the void.

Especially when the Heavenly Umbrella descended, it sealed off the entire sky and covered the whole land, cutting off all escape routes.

Wei Tiansheng’s expression changed greatly. He was a quasi-saint after all was said and done—although it was said that he could kill a saint, he didn’t fully grasp the power that would allow him to tunnel through space and escape whenever he wanted.

“Kill him!!” Chu Feng roared, his eyes burning as killing intent erupted from his body.

He then turned around and said, “Uncle Ming, we will seek revenge for you and make them pay twofold!”

Although Uncle Ming was rescued, he was in a terrible condition. His spirit was wilted, but the glow in his eyes slowly re-emerged due to this battle.

Wei Tiansheng’s strength was on par with Yuwen Chengkong; he deflected the spear’s deadly attacks with the sword in his hand.

Xi noticed something off instantly and said, “Hm? Something is odd about him. There are at least the origins of 3 saint spirits inside of his body. What’s more, they were forcibly sealed within his body using ruthless means, allowing him to use them as his own.”

“He’s a quasi-saint yet he dares to seal the core of a saint inside of his body just to absorb the battle ability of a saint. The Wei clan father and sons are truly atrocious, each more so than the other. Today, he must die!” Chu Feng said.

Out of the five elite Heavenly Knights, there were two more quasi-saints other than Wei Tiansheng who couldn’t make their escape.

“Who are you to kill me? Do you even know my identity?!” Wei Tiansheng yelled.

Chu Feng replied with a frosty tone, “Uncle Ming is my uncle and since you asked, let me tell you that I am your uncle!” He locked onto Wei Heng and launched a chain of attacks with the azure spear, sourcing power from the spaceship.

“An evil remnant from the mother planet?!” Wei Tiansheng’s face instantly became sullen.

“Let me be the one to kill this malicious devil!” Xi exclaimed as she felt infuriated with Wei Tiansheng whose atrociousness made one’s blood boil.

Boom!

Beams of light shot out from the spaceship, and at the same time, the azure spear and the mysterious black shield trembled. Together with the spinning Heavenly Umbrella, all attacks were aimed to annihilate the three remaining Heavenly Knights.

Pfft! Pfft!

Two bloodied explosions erupted.

“Ah!”

“Ah!”

Pitiful agonizing wails were heard as the two quasi-saints died mercilessly under the Heavenly Umbrella, leaving not the faintest trace of them.

Tsch!

Wei Tiansheng was also wounded from the azure spear as it pierced through his abdomen, ruining one of the saint cores. Drenched in his own blood, he stepped back uncontrollably from the attack.

“Are there any ways for me to attack? How I wish I can end his life with my own hands!” Chu Feng felt that killing Wei Tiansheng just like that couldn’t placate his raging anger at all!

“Yeah, there is.” Xi nodded as she replied.

Suddenly, the small spaceship transformed into a human-shaped metallic armor on the ebony ground.

Then, the azure spear and the mysterious black shield flew toward the arms of the metallic mech.

Only the Heavenly Umbrella remained in place to hold the fort, disabling the quasi-saint Wei Tiansheng from tearing the void and escaping.

“Damned Nasty Brat Wei, Uncle Chu is aggravated now and there will be heavy consequences to my wrath!” Chu Feng roared angrily as he took the armor in control and headed in for the kill.
