The Romantic Cultivator

Chapter 924 The 3rd Level Of The 4th Trial (1)

The portal to the next level of the Dream Dungeon of Tenebris took Ji Yuan and his team another 10 hours to reach.

Along the way, the cultivators plucked at whatever rare spirit herbs that they could lay their hands on.

Luckily for them, there were no further encounters along the way.

Also, the reason why it took them so long was because the terrain of the burning wasteland was rough and visibility was low due to the smog that were everywhere.

But when they had found the portal, there was a delightful look that were on everyone’s face.

Ji Yuan was glad too as the spiritual aura in this place was too weak.

But unlike the others, his profound strength was not sapped and instead he was recovering as though he was cultivating.

Ji Yuan thought that it had to do with Aura and he was not wrong.

“Haha, we have finally found the portal now.”

Shui Xisi could see the cheerful look that was on Ji Yuan, “I was wondering if you are lost and I was about to offer myself to scout for you instead.”

Ji Yuan rolled his golden eyes to look at her, “I think you are looking to go into the next portal all by yourself while laughing at a silly man that is suffering in this burning wasteland instead.”𝑛𝔬𝑣𝑬𝑙𝑵ℯxt.𝑐𝚘𝗆

Shui Xisi laughed softly as she followed him to step into the shimmering portal to the next level.

The rest of Ji Yuan’s team did not waste any time at all as they quickly entered into the portal with him.

They soon found themselves in a place that were littered with green mountains and a tranquil lake.

The black stele that they saw when they appeared in this place indicated that this was indeed the third level of the Dream Dungeon of Tenebris.

Ji Yuan was quite startled by the tranquil beauty of this place, “This is the third level? It doesn’t look dangerous at all to me…”

He was not the only one that was thinking the same.

Tian Ao was also looking at Beitang Hai, Wang Gongzi and the rest with a perplexed look. “I think the same too…”

Xie Hongyu smiled with a weary look, “Finally the spiritual aura in this place is normal again. I am so exhausted…”

Ji Yuan saw that Hua Yunzi was tired too and he said to his team, “Everyone. Let’s take 3 hours break first to cultivate back some of our profound strength first before we continue. Although this place looks less dangerous but there may be plenty of hidden dangers in this place.”

Zhang Feihong and Hu Butao quickly bowed with their hands to agree with this decision; they were sweating heavily and were looking exhausted too.

Usually, it is difficult for cultivators to sweat and when they do, it means that they had already exhausted plenty of their profound strength.

Shui Xisi nodded too even though she was tired, “Ji Yuan, do you think that we are the first team to reach level three of this dungeon?”

“I think so. This is the end of day 2. So we have 3 more days to reach the end of this level to earn our qualifications for the fifth trial.” Ji Yuan smiled.

“But I wonder what does Tenebris means? After all, this place is called the Dream Dungeon of Tenebris.”

“It means darkness.” Hua Yunzi had suddenly said from behind Ji Yuan. “So, this dungeon can also b called the Dream Dungeon of Darkness.”

Ji Yuan asked, “Maiden Yunzi, you know something about this trial?”

Hua Yunzi shook her head, “I don’t. But I have spent some time to read about some of the ancient history of the spiritas race and I have come across this word in my reads.”

Ji Yuan looked at the tranquil surroundings as he remarked, “Well. The first two levels are certainly quite gloomy but this level is not so much. There is nothing darkness about this place. Haha…”

All of a sudden, he had turned to say with great gentleness, “Maiden Yunzi, thank you. Erm, I wonder if we can…”

But Hua Yunzi seemed to be afraid of him and she had quickly departed to a seclude corner before she closed her eyes in meditation.

Ji Yuan sighed softly.

Shui Xisi saw his looks and whispered, “Hmph! Are you sad that you have failed to sow your seeds with this little beauty?”

JI Yuan: …

“This isn’t what I am thinking about.”

Shui Xisi chuckled softly, “If you are not asking her if you can sow your seeds with her then is it the other way round instead?”

Ji Yuan: …

She chuckled again, “Look at you. I am only teasing you. This can’t be real. Alright then. Then what are you trying to ask her?”

Ji Yuan smiled bitterly to himself: Actually, I want to ask exactly what you have just said…

But he put on a straight face to grin to her, “Actually I just want to drive everyone away from us so that we can have an opportunity to be alone. Now it is now the two of us left. I want to continue to kiss you. Haha…”

Shui Xisi giggled as she took a step back before she raised her fingers, “No, no. That is only because I was touched by you earlier. But now, we are going to cultivate for the next 3 hours. Have you forgotten that we have more than 1 million people that may be watching us now?”

Ji Yuan laughed as he looked at her alluring figure, “Maybe they are looking at the more interesting battle imageries. Our battle imagery should be the most boring to watch. Haha…”

Shui Xisi winked at him, “Don’t bet on this, hehe.”

Ji Yuan frowned, “Why? Because of my beautiful looks?”

“No,” Shui Xisi giggled. “Because of my alluring looks and beautiful figure.”

Ji Yuan: …

He muttered weakly, “They are mostly female spiritas. They won’t be interested in another maiden…”

But before he could finish, Shui Xisi had retreated to another corner to cultivate quietly.

Ji Yuan took a last look at her alluring figure as he sighed softly to himself: Sisi, be careful. I have the most uneasy feeling about this trial. Don’t die on me please…

Then he thought of Xiao Muhan: He is probably dead now. That’s the life of a cultivator. I salute you, Brother Xiao Muhan…

A short while later, he had also found a corner and he began to sit down to cultivate.

As he sat in meditation, he was pleased that the boundaries of his inner spiritual sea were now 8 times bigger now. But this would also mean that it would take him a long time of cultivation to refill his inner spiritual sea.

Although his speed of cultivating his inner spiritual sea was slow but Aura was actually 10 times faster than him.

He was completely stunned by her speed of cultivating the Golden Natal Divine Pearl to refill his inner spiritual sea.

And moreover, the spiritual aura that Aura had condensed into his inner spiritual sea was much purer than him; this resulted in his impure spiritual cultivation to be dissipated by the purer cultivation of Aura.

In the end, Ji Yuan felt defeated by Aura the Divine Tree and he drawn upon his inner spiritual sea to hasten his bodily healing instead.
