"I HAVE a schedule planned for us this afternoon," Luo Yan said, picking up a piece of meat with his chopsticks. "And for tomorrow too."
They were seated at an outdoor terrace table at Bo Ri Village, the resort’s main all-day restaurant. From where they sat, the valley spread out before them with the mountains rising in the distance. The terrace was quiet, with only a few other tables occupied. Bo Ri Village itself was built to blend into the landscape, its wooden beams and large windows creating the feel of a mountain lodge rather than a formal restaurant. It was the kind of place where one could sit for hours, enjoying the view.
The table in front of them had a mix of local and familiar dishes. There was a bowl of steaming Sichuan noodles. Beside it was a plate of well-seasoned grilled meats. Small dishes of pickled vegetables and cold greens, along with a basket of steamed buns, completed the spread.
"I hope you don’t mind," Luo Yan added after chewing the meat.
"Of course I don’t," Shen Ji Yun said. "I trust you. Whatever you planned for us, I know it’ll be fun."
Luo Yan grinned. "I can’t promise it’ll be fun, but I can promise you won’t be bored."
The corners of Shen Ji Yun’s mouth lifted into a small smile. "That, I’m sure of."
They ate at a comfortable pace, savoring each dish. The conversation flowed easily, moving between light topics. Luo Yan spoke of the local sights he wished to explore, and Shen Ji Yun listened, interjecting occasionally. The food was good and the view was beautiful.
It was a pretty excellent lunch.

After they ate, as per the schedule Luo Yan had made, they went to the resort’s infinity pool. The pool was heated, so even in the winter air, the water was warm enough to swim in. Thin steam rose from the surface, drifting up into the cold air. The pool was made of dark stone, with a glass edge that let the water spill over the side. A few loungers were lined up nearby, and towels were stacked neatly at the end of each one.
There were no other people around, and Shen Ji Yun was glad for that. He didn’t know how he would have reacted if anyone else had seen Luo Yan right now. He glanced at his boyfriend and felt his face grow warm again. And it had nothing to do with the steam rising from the pool.
When Luo Yan said that they would go to a pool next, they took the golf buggy across the resort to the infinity pool area. The pool was set outdoors, surrounded by the mountain landscape. They changed in a small cabana nearby, where swim trunks had already been laid out for them.
As soon as Shen Ji Yun stepped out of the small cabana, he fixed his gaze on Luo Yan. Who could blame him, though? Luo Yan stood by the edge of the pool in a pair of black swim trunks that sat low on his hips. His skin was pale and smooth, almost like porcelain. His frame was lean, but there was clear definition in his shoulders and arms. A set of firm abdominal muscles lined his stomach, not overly big but visible and well proportioned.
He looked like something you’d want to take a bite out of.
Shen Ji Yun shook his head, trying to push his thoughts out of the gutter where they had firmly planted themselves. But it was hard. Really damn hard. When all he wanted to do was pull Luo Yan close and, well, take a bite of that smooth skin.
Luo Yan jumped into the pool. The cold he had felt while standing in just his swim trunks disappeared the moment the warm water closed around him. It spread over his skin like a blanket, loosening the tension in his shoulders and making him let out a quiet sigh. He sank in up to his chest and let the heat soak into him.
He raised his head to where Shen Ji Yun was still standing and took a moment to admire the view. Shen Ji Yun’s frame was solid and broad, with wide shoulders and a defined chest. His stomach was flat, and a set of abs ran down his torso. His arms and legs had a lean strength to them, the kind that came from regular exercise. Luo Yan let his eyes linger for a second longer than necessary.
"Brother Ji Yun, come on," Luo Yan called out after a moment. "Get in. You’re going to freeze if you just stand there."
Shen Ji Yun closed his eyes and dived into the pool. The warm water closed around him, but it didn’t do much to cool him down. His body was already hot from just looking at Luo Yan, and imagining him in... different positions he couldn’t say out loud. He swam forward, pushing through the water until he reached the spot where Luo Yan was standing.
Luo Yan almost yelped when Shen Ji Yun surfaced right in front of him. Then he let out a small laugh when Shen Ji Yun pulled him by the waist, their bodies pressing together, skin against skin. When he looked up, he felt his breath catch. Shen Ji Yun’s gaze had gone dark, fixed on him, particularly on his lips.
He steadied himself and rose up on his toes. He could tell Shen Ji Yun wanted to kiss him, so he decided to take the lead. The moment their lips met, Shen Ji Yun went still for a second. Then he took over, pressing in and deepening the kiss.
Luo Yan felt Shen Ji Yun’s tongue slide against his. He pressed closer and dug his fingers into Shen Ji Yun’s shoulders. The water moved around them, but he could only focus on the way Shen Ji Yun’s mouth moved against his. Shen Ji Yun’s hands held his waist, fingers pressing into his skin through the water. Luo Yan let himself be held, his hands sliding up to curl around Shen Ji Yun’s neck.
The kiss stretched on, and he didn’t want it to ever end.
