Ye Kuang, Ye Xiao, and Ye Di were all sitting in the main hall of the Ye mansion, each of them with worried expressions on their faces. They were all wracking their minds, trying to think of ways to put up a fight against Xiao Yuanshan who had just become a True Energy Realm warrior. Limestone City was a small city, so it was rare for any True Energy Realm warriors to emerge within it.
“I advanced to the Energy Shaping Ninth Realm before him. What did he do to break into the True Energy Realm first?” Ye Kuang frowned, his voice was full of disbelief.
“Their resources are even fewer than ours. He doesn’t have as much talent as you do either,” Ye Xiao sighed. “This is plain weird.”
“Looks like he got a step ahead of us…” Ye Di smiled bitterly while shaking his head.
“There’s only one possibility,” Ye Xiao said. “Xiao Yuanshan must’ve gotten his hands on a True Energy Pill.”
“True Energy Pill?” Yu Kuang said as his eyes widened. The pill was something every Energy Shaping Realm warrior sought.
“That’s right. There’s just no way that he could break into the True Energy Realm at his level.”
“The possibility is high,” Ye Kuang said. “But how did he get his hands on the True Energy Pill?”
While all three of them were lost in thought, a person came into the main hall.
“Dad!” Ye Changsheng shouted. “I’m back!”
Ye Kuang quickly stood up and looked at his son who was walking towards them with a confident stride. They noticed a victorious aura about him.
“Changsheng! You’re back!” Ye Kuang shouted. “Ye Mo told us that you were saved by a mysterious warrior at the Resource Battle! I guessed the warrior must’ve been sent by the Union Leader!”
“Yes,” Ye Changsheng said and nodded. “The warrior was indeed sent by Xuan Ji. She even sacrificed her powers to help me raise my level to the Spirit Cultivating Ninth Realm!”
“She did that for you?” all three brothers shouted.
They all looked at Ye Changsheng in awe. They could feel that he was already in the Ninth Realm judging from the energy he was emitting. No one would’ve believed them if they said that a 15 years old kid had advanced to the Ninth Realm.
It was a blessing that one of the Union Leaders from the Qingyun Alliance would transfer her own power to Ye Changsheng. It showed how important he was in the Union Leader’s heart.
The power transfer was similar to what Ye Mo had done for Leng Feng and Leng Leng. The only difference was that Ye Mo held an infinite amount of energies from the Dragon Energies in his body, which meant that he didn’t have to sacrifice anything to help other people raise their level.
“Yes, she even said that she would come and see you when she has the time,” Ye Changsheng said.
“See me?” Ye Kuang asked with a dumbfounded expression. “Oh, what really happened in the cave that day? Ye Mo told us that Mo Feng was the one responsible for the mass murder.”
“It was Mo Feng,” Ye Changsheng said as his face darkened from remembering what had happened that day. “But Ye Mo also killed one of the Qin clan’s disciples. What happened in the end? What happened to Ye Mo and Mo Feng?”
“The poison Mo Feng was using backfired and he died,” Ye Kuang said. “Ye Mo came out alive and got his hands on all of the Mo Clan’s resources, including the Pill Manuscript.”
“I’ll get those back from him at the Champion List Tournament!” Ye Changsheng said.
“There’s something you need to know first,” Ye Kuang said and told his son about everything that had happened until then. “Xiao Yuanshan is like a ticking bomb for us and the Qin Clan. We’ll have to think of a way to take care of him.”
“We should discuss this with Qin Hao,” one of the brothers suggested.
After two hours had passed, one of the servants sent by Ye Kuang to the Qin mansion returned with Qin Hao.
“City Lord,” Ye Kuang greeted and offered Qin Hao a seat. “We asked you to come here because we wanted to discuss our plans to take care of Xiao Yuanshan. We’ve been putting a lot of pressure on him in the past. He’ll definitely seek revenge on us for that.”
“The only thing I can think of is to sabotage the fight between Ye Mo and Man Qi,” Qin Hao said. “If they get into another conflict, the Xiao clan and the Barbarian will definitely clash. Xiao Yuanshan just became a True Energy Realm warrior. There’s no way he’d be a match for the Barbarian’s High Priest.”
“That’s a brilliant idea!” Ye Kuang said. “But what can we do to get them to fight each other?”
“There’s no way that Ye Mo could beat Man Qi, no matter how talented he is,” Qin Hao explained. “Man Qi will definitely kill Ye Mo during the duel, and when that happens, we will stir up the relationship between those two clans even further, and they will definitely ending up having another fight in the end.”
“What a good idea!” Ye Kuang said. “Changsheng, with your current power, you’ll definitely meet Ye Mo in the final. I want you to lose to him intentionally.”
“But…” Ye Changsheng understood why he had to lose. If he defeated Ye Mo in the final, Ye Mo might’ve just surrendered to the Barbarian and let them take him away.
“Now that you have a place in the Union Leader’s heart, being the number one in the Limestone City is meaningless to you,” Ye Kuang said. “This city is too small for you. The Qingyun Alliance is the place where you will shine.”
“I understand, father.”
“So your son was recognized by the Union Leader, huh?” Qin Hao said. “We should celebrate this incredible accomplishment.”
“Your son is also quite strong,” Ye Kuang said. “He’ll definitely get into one of the Three Major Alliances. He’s got quite a bright future ahead of him as well.”
While Ye Kuang and Qin Hao were discussing how to dispose of the Xiao Clan, Ye Mo was thinking about how he’d beat Man Qi. He would be forced to take the match, so there was no other way. Even if Ye Mo could advance to the Spirit Cultivating Ninth Realm, the gap between that and the Energy Shaping First Realm was still huge.
Ye Mo reclined on his bed and kept thinking. If he declined the match, he would’ve died on the spot. Even if he’d accepted it, there would be no way for him to emerge victorious, but he had to live on so that he could search for his mother’s whereabouts and his father’s murderer.
“I just advanced to the Fourth Realm. There’s no way that more Dragon Energies will awaken in such a short time,” Ye Mo said to himself. “I’ll at least need 20 more Dragon Energies if I want to defeat Man Qi.”
The essence of the cultivation level was time. Even if warriors could receive power from others like Ye Changsheng, they would still need time to absorb it. There were no shortcuts.
“I know one way you could defeat Man Qi,” Ling’er said.
“How?”
“You’ll have to create a Rank Two Charm.”
