The Martial Emperor with Dragon Blood

“What’s going on?” Yao Yue asked, surprised.

“If my guess is correct, had we both escaped from the bridge together, we would have plunged to our demise,” Ye Mo said calmly. “Actually, within this palace, we aren’t being tested for our strength, but our will. If we display a fearless face, I believe that nothing in this palace will be a challenge for us.”

When Ye Mo finished speaking, illusions started forming out of the nothingness again. The illusions looked extremely realistic and extremely dangerous, threatening to plunge one into desperation.

But the two of them managed to destroy illusion after illusion. With no fear in their hearts, no illusion or will could cause any problems for them.

Ye Mo and Yao Yue made it past nine different illusions, with the danger levels of each illusion enough to scare any fighter to death. They even saw Ancient Demon Beasts and Cosmos Realm beasts, who had strength levels far beyond their own, appear and attack them. Both their aura and their dominating pressure were extremely realistic.

This was the Divine Realm – they had entered the Divine Realm of deity-level fighters.

“Phew, I think that’s the end of all these illusions. I feel like I’ve just come back from the dead multiple times.” Ye Mo chuckled to himself. But just as he finished speaking, he saw his surroundings warp once again, this time turning into a Black Lake.

He felt as if his whole body was about to be submerged into the Black Lake. Immediately channeling the Profound Dragon Powers, he steadied his posture and stood atop the Black Lake.

Yao Yue immediately came to her senses, generating a layer of black ice using the black-colored waters beneath her and stood atop the layer of ice.

Just as they were catching their breaths, a gigantic black palm appeared in the air and grabbed wildly at Yao Yue.

Seeing the gigantic palm charging towards her, Ye Mo instantly panicked, then relaxed, thinking that it was just an illusion. But the gigantic black palm grabbed ahold of Yao Yue. Without giving them any time to respond, the palm grabbed Yao Yue and, with a wild twist, Yao Yue disappeared into the abyss.

“Little Yao!” Ye Mo yelled as a wave of black fog appeared above the lake. Ye Mo was enshrouded in the fog, his surroundings completely covered by the roiling blackness.

Ye Mo could feel that there was something special about this black-colored fog – once it entered his body, it would be nothing but trouble. He awakened his Zhu Deity Domain to protect himself.

“What’s going on?” Ye Mo was bewildered. “Why am I the only one who is being attacked?”

What’s more, Ye Mo also felt that there was an unknown source of power within the fog that was pulling at him, preventing him from flying away. If he hadn’t awakened his Heart, which allowed him to master the Domain of Gravity to perfection and completely balance his body, he would already have been pulled into the depths of the black lake with no way back.

At this point in time, he felt like he did while realizing the Six Dao Cycle Realm.

At that very moment, he felt as if he could be plunged into the depths of the Black Lake at any time. Had it not been for his perfect combination with the Domain of Gravity, there was no way that he would have been able to keep his body balanced this long.

With a frightening spin, the black fog appeared and wrapped around Ye Mo’s body, causing him to lose even his sense of direction. At this point, he couldn’t even tell where that giant hand had come from, or where it had gone.

Furthermore, there was an extremely powerful attacking force within the black fog that was slicing at his body. Normal fighters would definitely be cut and heavily wounded by now, then they’d plunge straight into the Black Lake, unable to even muster a breath of Profound Aura.

Ye Mo knew that this was definitely another test. Otherwise, that gigantic hand would be grabbing him instead of Yao Yue.

He had to calm down and think of a way to break free of the restraints of this Black Lake.

This type of restraint was largely a mental one. The restraint of the Heart – the anxious he got, the more difficult it would be for him to break free from the Black Lake.

“Brother Ye Mo, borrow the strength of the Zhu Deity Domain and try walking on the Black Lake,” Ling’er said. “If you can do so, perhaps your Heart Training will be able to break through to Level Seven.”

“What exactly is this Black Lake?” Ye Mo asked curiously.

“This Black Lake is perhaps the final test given by the Divine Realm master,” Ling’er explained. “Those tests from before, they were only testing your willpower. Failure would maybe have led to death. But passing those tests gave you the chance to take on this Black Lake test. As for why Yao Yue was taken away, I have no idea.”

“Since this is a test, then I shall take it on. I’m guessing the master of the Divine Realm will come out and meet me if I manage to pass?” Ye Mo said as he started to withdraw the Zhu Deity Domain. In an instant, his body started to sink, as if someone was tugging at his ankle.

Stunned, he immediately unleashed the Zhu Deity Domain, once again bringing his body back up to the surface.

“Brother Ye Mo, don’t use the Zhu Deity Domain,” Ling’er reminded him.

“Use your Heart to try and balance yourself.”

“If I don’t use it, I’ll sink for sure,” Ye Mo protested. “I can sense that there’s something frightening below. If I sink, I might never be able to return to the surface.”

No matter what Ye Mo said, deep down he knew that using the Zhu Deity Domain to control his body wasn’t a long-term solution.

Once again withdrawing it, his body started to sink again. His legs were submerged into the Black Lake, followed by his waist, then his chest, and eventually his neck.

Wildly awakening his Heart and grabbing with both hands, he realized that his Heart had actually started doing an action that resembled a swimming stroke up towards the sky. But this was no swimming – it was a type of Heart Technique to cultivate one’s Heart Deity, and it could only be achieved in this Black Lake.

Ye Mo didn’t know how his Heart managed to do something like that. But he knew that all he wanted was to balance himself within the Black Lake.

As expected, his body followed the actions of his Heart, and his Heart Training received another boost. He wanted to break through his own limits, raising his Heart Training up to Level Seven and developing a Will stronger than that of the Profound Realm.

At this moment, Ye Mo had no other distractions in his mind. There was no point in worrying about Yao Yue anymore. With a mental restraint suddenly appearing within the Black Lake, the most important thing was to stay alive.

Ye Mo knew that this tenth test was no longer an illusion, but something very real.

He kept his Zhu Deity Domain withdrawn and trained his Heart Techniques.

A whole day and night passed.

Ye Mo felt that his Heart was starting to receive a huge boost in training. At that moment, he felt as if his heart was failing, and that he would be engulfed in fatigue.

However, right after that, his heart was pumped full of blood and energy once again.

Standing in the midst of the Black Lake, he rode the crashing waves, no longer having any need to use the Zhu Deity Domain to steady his body.

“My Heart Training has reached Level Seven!”

A whole day and night’s worth of struggle was extremely torturous, but the rewards that Ye Mo reaped from it were equally frightening. Reaching Level Seven in his Heart Training was definitely a breakout change.

At Level Seven, not only was he able to stack the attack of his spear light blades 70 times, but his level of Heart Training was now comparable to a fighter in the Cosmos Realm. His Zhu Deity Domain would also become much stronger in its force.

At this point in time, Ye Mo was confident he could defeat even Three Star Castellans.

Even though the waves had calmed down, ripples were formed in the Black Lake once again. A gigantic whirlpool was formed. Within the whirlpool, a giant dragon appeared. This giant dragon had the same exterior as the Profound Dragon inside Ye Mo’s body.
