The Long-awaited Mr Han

Chapter 3252 - I Promise Not to Bother You

Chapter 3252: I Promise Not to Bother You

She wanted even more to never appear before Wei Wucai again.

Wei Wucai’s mouth moved, but he didn’t have the confidence to say anything.

He didn’t even have the strength to ask her to forgive him.

“Sorry…” Wei Wucai said weakly.

He could understand why Yan Zhiqing was so angry.

He had deceived her like he had simply been toying with her for fun.

He could tell that she liked him.

But it was precisely because she liked him. The more she liked him, the more she couldn’t accept how he had toyed with her.

At the start, he had indeed been unbothered by the fact that he was deceiving her.

He’d felt that it wasn’t a big deal.

In fact, he even had mischievous thoughts.

However, thinking about it now, he was truly a scumbag.

Wei Wucai had no idea that it was this misunderstanding regarding his sexual orientation…

…that had caused Yan Zhiqing to feel very confused and hesitant previously.

If it wasn’t because she was worried that he would ultimately fall for a man, she would have reciprocated his affection for her long ago instead of remaining this confused.

If it wasn’t because she was worried that he would fall for a man, she wouldn’t have needed to be so distressed when she looked at him.

Now that she knew he had been lying to her this whole time…

It was like all of her worries from before were merely a joke.

What was all her hesitation and distress for, then?

Seeing Wei Wucai remaining silent, Yan Zhiqing took it that he was tacitly agreeing with what she said.

So she turned around and left.

Wei Wucai hurried to catch up with her. “Zhiqing, I know you’re angry. Take some time to calm down. I promise you, I won’t be like I was during the day, using an excuse to hang around you instead of actually giving you time to cool off.”

Initially, Yan Zhiqing did not want to talk to him.

However, when she heard these words, she could not restrain herself from saying, “So you even know that you weren’t truly giving me time to cool off.”

That had caused her to think he was truly just foolish.

However, thinking about it now, how could Wei Wucai possibly be a fool?

The fool was her!

For always being toyed with and spun around in circles by him!

Wei Wucai was speechless.

He initially wanted to ask her to forgive him, but the result was that he was thrown to the streets again.

Wei Wucai became really irritable.

He didn’t know what he should do to resolve this.

It was like every explanation he offered could cause him to step on one of Yan Zhiqing’s landmines.

Wei Wucai walked beside Yan Zhiqing and continued, “Zhiqing, I’m in the wrong. I know I’m truly in the wrong. I just want to tell you that I’ll give you some time, and I won’t bother you.

“But if you become angrier and angrier, just come find me and vent your anger on me. Don’t keep it inside and make yourself sick with suppressed anger.” Wei Wucai was speaking with total sincerity.

“Whenever you think of it and get angry, come find me to vent your anger. Hit me, scold me, do whatever you want,” Wei Wucai said. “This whole thing was my fault. It’s fine for you to do whatever you want to me as long as you can feel a bit better. I definitely won’t object to it, and I won’t feel even the slightest bit unhappy.

“It’s fine if you get angrier as long as you don’t keep it inside and make yourself sick.”

Wei Wucai was just afraid that Yan Zhiqing would distance herself further from him the angrier she got.

It would be better if she just vented her anger on him.

As long as Yan Zhiqing was willing to get angry at him, it meant that there was a possibility she would forgive him.

What he was most afraid of was that she wouldn’t get angry at him and instead stay quiet, paying no attention to him.

Yan Zhiqing felt speechless.

She had truly… never seen Wei Wucai put himself down like this.

It seemed like he would agree to anything and be willing to do anything if it meant she would forgive him.

For a moment, Yan Zhiqing didn’t feel angry.

She just continued walking without saying a word.

Wei Wucai followed until he was suddenly stopped by a waiter.

Yan Zhiqing merely glanced at him; she didn’t stop at all.

“Zhiqing, wait!” Wei Wucai called out to her hurriedly, but Yan Zhiqing simply paid him no attention.

Wei Wucai could only turn his head to the waiter who stopped him. “What is it?”

If something’s the matter, the waiter had better speak quickly. Wei Wucai still had to go after Yan Zhiqing.

Then he heard the waiter say politely but with a slight note of disdain in his voice, “You haven’t paid the bill.”

The waiter was treating Wei Wucai as a dine-and-dasher who had finished his meal and was preparing to slip out without paying the bill.

Wei Wucai was speechless.

He cursed inwardly.

Yuan Jiangyi and Hao Donghuai ran away so quickly earlier. Unexpectedly, they did not even pay for their meal.

Did they not consider that he wouldn’t be able to care about them after making Yan Zhiqing so angry?!

Wei Wucai turned to look and realized that Yan Zhiqing had already walked out of the restaurant.

Wei Wucai hastily pulled out his card and gave it to the waiter. “Quickly!”

The waiter took the card but remained unhurried as he swiped it in the card machine, then got Wei Wucai to key in his passcode and sign off on the payment.

It truly made Wei Wucai extremely angry.

When the matter was finally settled after much difficulty, Wei Wucai grabbed his card and rushed out in a hurry.

It was already very hard to find Yan Zhiqing in the crowd.

Additionally, Yan Zhiqing had wrapped herself up tightly in all-black clothes.

She had pretty much blended in with the dark night.

So it was even harder to find her.

Wei Wucai could only find his car first and drive out of the restaurant’s parking lot.

On the road, he drove along slowly beside the footpath while he looked for Yan Zhiqing, who was walking on it.

He truly did spot her in the end.

Yan Zhiqing was walking slowly among the crowd. In Wei Wucai’s eyes, it seemed very much like she was in a daze.

She had Wei Wucai’s long down-filled coat wrapped around her, only exposing her shoes.

Aside from her white “Dad” shoes, everything else she had on was black.

Wei Wucai’s coat looked like a down blanket on Yan Zhiqing.

The speed of Wei Wucai’s car slowed, appearing like the act of a crazy person to everyone else driving on the road.

Many of them honked their horns at him.

However, Wei Wucai simply did not pay any mind to the honking.

Right now, the only thing in his sight was Yan Zhiqing. He didn’t even hear the honking horns.

The drivers of every single car that passed him tilted their heads, trying to see who the crazy driver was.

Of course, Wei Wucai paid no attention to any of these things.

Wei Wucai lowered the car window by the front passenger seat and leaned over. Then he placed his head low enough so that his face could be seen from outside the window by Yan Zhiqing.

“Zhiqing, get in the car,” Wei Wucai said. “I’ll send you back.”

“No need.” Fortunately, Yan Zhiqing still gave him a reply. “I’ll walk back.”

“It’s pretty far away,” Wei Wucai said. “And you’re sick. How could you possibly have the energy to do that? Just get in.”

“It’s not far. Yuan Jiangyi and Hao Donghuai could walk back. So can I,” Yan Zhiqing said. “I just want to be alone right now. Just leave me be.”

“How can you be considered the same as them? They’d be fine even running a couple of laps around Mount Lan,” Wei Wucai said. “Furthermore, you’re sick today. How could you possibly have that much energy?”

“It’s fine,” Yan Zhiqing said stubbornly.

“I promise not to bother you. If you’re unwilling to talk to me, I won’t say anything,” Wei Wucai said. “How about it? If you get in the car, I promise to stay quiet.”

“If I don’t get in the car, will you continue repeating these things?” Yan Zhiqing turned to look at him.
