Chapter 172 - Fu Hee And Bai Fen Makes Peace
When Fu Hee left the kitchen with the bottle of water in her hand and went to her bedroom, she heard her phone ring and went to the bedside table to pick it up.
She had a disinterested look on her face as she glanced at the caller ID. On seeing Mrs. Bai's name on her screen she became more emotionless and kept her phone back on the table and uncapped the water bottle she brought back with her as the call ended.
Before she could finish drinking the water, her phone started to ring again. She finally put down the bottle of water and picked her phone to answer the call.
"Thank goodness you answered the call, I would have come over to the Fu Villa to look for you. Fu Hee how could you be so angry with me to the extent of ignoring me?" Bai Fen asked immediately Fu Hee answered the call.
But first of all, she sighed in relief that her call was answered after several attempts of trying to reach her.
"Did you call to blame me again?" Fu Hee asked in an annoyed tone.
"How could I blame you? I thought something happened to you." Bai Fen hurriedly denied that fact, because, from Fu Hee's tone, the latter was still angry with her.
"What can happen to me? I can't trust anybody to bring me happiness and I discovered that I was better off on my own." Fu Hee replied as she sat on the couch in the bedroom and crossed her legs.
"Fu Hee, how can you say that? I'm your very good friend. I'm sorry about the way I spoke to you earlier today. I was devastated. After breaking the news to me, I was annoyed and sad because I didn't know how to break Jun's heart again." Bai Fen explained in a tone that attracted pity on her.
Fu Hee's sighed and said, "I will forgive you but this shouldn't happen again. I'm doing my best for all of us and it's not easy. As for Bai Jun, she shouldn't have to worry, I will think of something." Fu Hee said to her.
She felt better after Bai Fen's apology.
Bai Fen, on the other hand, was very happy with the fact that her plan worked. She couldn't believe she only had to apologize to Fu Hee to accept their relationship again.
"Fu Hee, thank you so much for keeping your promise. If you need anything, tell me. I got a VVIP card 🎫 for a spa treatment, pick a date do we can visit there." Bai Fen said to her.
"Really? Why are you treating me to a spa?" Fu Hee asked in a less concerned tone. She was playing hard to get.
"We need to take care of our beautiful skin and keep it glowing." Bai Fen said in an alluring tone.
"Okay, I will get back to you on the date. I have to go now, I have work to do." Fu Hee said to her.
"Okay, bye-bye." Bai Fen said to her.
Fu Hee didn't return the greeting and ended the call directly. A smile appeared on her face as she kept her phone beside her.
'This is the way things should go!' She thought to herself.
She was happy she wasn't the one apologizing. Now that things have changed, of course, she was happy about it.
After the call, Bai Fen was not settled with Fu Hee's response. She immediately contacted a branded jewelry store and placed an order for an expensive necklace. She gave them the address to deliver the jewelry.
Because Fu Villa was located in a private area with soldiers acting as their security, the jewelry store couldn't come into that place without permission from any member of the family, so they had to call Fu Hee.
Fu Hee was eating some fruits when she received the call. She was annoyed at first because she was wondering who the caller was. But after listening for a while, she smiled softly and sent someone to go and get the jewelry from them.
Some minutes later, the box was brought to Fu Hee who couldn't wait to open it. When she opened the jewelry box and saw the expensive emerald green necklace lying inside the box, she failed to hide her facial expression. She was very happy as she took out the jewelry and tried it on.
She glanced at herself in the mirror with the necklace on. Her face was full of smiles when she saw how well it fitted her neck.Â
Without wasting time, she packaged the jewelry and kept it away after admiring it, then she quickly put a call through to Bai Fen.
"I saw the gift you gave to me. I liked it, thank you." Fu Hee said in a neutral tone. She didn't want to act all excited because of some jewelry she could easily get from her circle of friends.
Bai Fen understood that she was happy with the gift and didn't bother with her attitude.Â
After the call, Fu Hee was all smiles and even during dinner, she didn't have the time to bother anybody.
Seeing her so happy after a few hours of seething with rage, Fu ChunHua felt that Fu Hee was a hard nut to crack.
The next day during breakfast, Fu Hee was still in a good mood. She picked up some radish and put it in Fu Hua and YingPei's plates. Then glancing at Jia Li, she picked up some and put in her plate while saying, "Take care of my grandchild."
Everyone at the table was surprised by her actions as they had different thoughts going on in their head.
They were thinking if Fu Hee was finally accepting Jia Li, or if she was only interested in the child Jia Li was carrying.
Grandfather Fu glanced at Fu Hee after she put the radish in Jia Li's plate. He didn't suspect it was poisoned, because he thought that Fu Hee wouldn't dare to poison Jia Li in his presence.
Fu Hua glanced at the radish and continued eating, but only one person still had her gaze on the radish.
Jia Li felt weird that her mother-in-law who doesn't like her had put some food on her plate. She didn't know what to feel, but she decided to eat it.
Right, when she picked it up with her chopsticks 🥢 Fu ChunHua said to her...
