"I've actually asked for the opinion of the Esteemed Remulos and he felt like the people of Ravenholdt wouldn't do anything to you," Lu Li added tentatively.
Of course, nothing was going to happen, especially if Zaetar was the one who asked the Master of Ravenholdt Manor to assassinate his brother. This was no ordinary relationship.
In response to this, Zaetar's mood was visibly fluctuating again.
"Would you like to come back with us?" Water Fairy asked. She wasn't very clear on the relationships between these NPCs, but her intuition told her that the quest was almost complete.
"Okay, I'll go with you. I haven't seen my old friends there in years," Zaetar sighed.
"Do you want to leave Maraudon and Princess Theradras?" Water Fairy asked. Regardless of whether Zaetar was a good or a bad guy and regardless of what their relationship was like, the female tycoon always believed in true love. This was a common occurrence for most girls.
"She is my wife; I will be with her for all eternity," Zaetar said as he looked at the body on the ground, his golden eyes softening.
It seemed that he really did have deep feelings for the Princess.
"In that case, let us leave then. Let me apologize in advance for this," Lu Li said as he took out their quest item. It was an orb that was given by the Hostess to hold Zaetar's soul.
If Zaetar refused to enter the orb, it would be a tragic end to the quest.
If they had to escort him all the way back, they would have to travel a span of more than half of Azeroth. Lu Li would rather choose to abandon the quest if that happened.
Fortunately, Zaetar didn't refuse; he turned into a cloud of smoke and entered the orb. Lu Li put the orb away and channeled the return portal with Water Fairy.
They were quickly sent to Southshore and Lu Li brought the item to the tavern.
"It seems that your quest has been completed. Go to the back of the tavern; someone is waiting there for you."
The hostess was obviously not the giver of the quest and was somewhat indifferent to Zaetar's soul.
There was a small side-door next to the staircase on the second floor of the tavern that led to an old tree in the yard. For the curious players that decided to explore here, that was all they would see.
However, when Lu Li and Water Fairy walked in from the side, they found that it was completely different. It was like a whole other world. There was water flowing from the mountains and an exquisite hut right outside the bamboo forest.
There was also a blindfolded 'man', but Lu Li wasn't too sure if he was human because he was too short.
It was a Dwarf!
Lu Li was a little surprised to discover that there were Dwarfs in Ravenholdt Manor, but this was an ancient organization, so of course there would be other races in it.
In fact, some players thought that the founder of the organization was actually a Titan.
Lu Li stopped Water Fairy and greeted the Dwarf from a distance away. He didn't want to get to close to the Dwarf, especially if he was very powerful.
"Greetings, we have completed the quest and brought Zaetar's soul."
Some Dwarves didn't like looking up at people, which meant that you could offend one without knowing it. Many players never learned this truth, but Lu Li would not make this mistake.
"Thank you. You can now claim my reward."
The Dwarf did not ask Lu Li and Water Fairy to come closer, implicitly accepting the current distance.
"Mr Remulos said that we can take Mr Zaetar's soul back after you've finished," Lu Li said.
Regardless of what kind of dispute Remulos and Zaetar had, Lu Li didn't want to be caught in the middle of it. Moreover, their family wasn't one that Lu Li couldn't easily mess with anyway.
"Don't worry about it. I will return him; you just leave him with me. Please leave now You really shouldn't be here," the Dwarf said as he took out two items which flew towards Lu Li.
Lu Li felt that this was a little unfortunate because he wanted to interact with this NPC. These kinds of NPCs could often give tips about the game or even change the game's direction.
However, he didn't dare to defy the NPC, at least for now.
After receiving the quest reward, Lu Li and Water Fairy heard the System Prompt that they had completed the quest. When he checked his EXP bar, Lu Li's EXP was now past level 43.
The reward was a Dark Gold Bracer. When compared against Lu Li's Killing Star Bracer…
Well, it wasn't better than the Killing Star Bracer. After all, the Killing Star Bracer actually provided a 200% increase in strength, but it also had its shortcomings.
Killing Star Bracer (Gold): Armor 35, Agility +20, Strength +12, Attack Speed +10%, Special Effect 1: Instant Cast, Damage increased by 20% and Critical Chance increased by 15% for 30 seconds. 30 minute -cooldown. Special Effect 2: Killing a target within 30 seconds increases damage by 1% and refreshes the timer. Max bonus of 100%. Level Requirement: level 40. Durability 82/82.
After Strengthening the item three times, its Attack Speed and Power had increased.
However, the one thing about this equip was that it was useless on in a competition as there would not be many opportunities to use the second effect. If there was a player that couldn't withstand Lu Li's attacks for longer than 30 seconds, they were likely an unworthy opponent anyway.
Even if he did kill a player, it would only provide a bonus increase of 1%.
This effect was only useful when levelling or fighting large groups, which was why Lu Li had been on the lookout for PVP-suited Bracers. This was exactly what the Thief Dwarf had given them.
Stab Scar Bracer (Dark Gold): Armor 38, Agility +24, Strength +16, Critical Hit +15%, Special Effect 1: Instant Cast. Attack the target's back of the knee to stun it for 1.5 seconds. 2-minute cooldown. Special Effect 2: Bloody Slaughter. Instant Cast. Lose 20% of your own HP to deal 40% of your target's HP. If the target would be killed by this effect, they are left with 1% HP instead. 2-hour cooldown. Equipment Requirement: Level 40. Durability 96/96.
There was a small text on the back of the Bracer that read, "They can't see you appearing, but they can see you leaving."
Lu Li was very satisfied with this Bracer as it was much more suited for competitions.
The first special effect was fantastic – it actually directly targeted the back of the knee. This sounded quite confusing, but it was actually easy to find.
