Chapter 601: Blowing Up The Door

After collecting the drops from the Boss, there were still the corpses of monsters that had yet to be looted.
It was impossible to loot them all before they despawned. Who knew how many drops and materials they would miss out on? However, they weren’t too worried about this because there was probably nothing valuable or special.
"How is this.. How is this possible?" After the battle was over and all the spoils had been taken, the goblin NPC remained in disbelief.
"Mr Weegli, should we have a conversation regarding our rewards?" Lu Li asked in a condescending manner, staring at the Goblin as if he was about to kill him.
Of course, Lu Li wasn’t actually intending on killing the poor Goblin. Otherwise, all the Goblins of Gadgetzan would despise him.
Besides, Lu Li would nothing from killing him.
"Gosh, I don’t have 20 pieces of Gold Grade Equipment…" Weegli had no idea that Sergeant Brad would be so useless; he had barely even put up a fight.
If he had known better, he would have sided with the adventureres to begin with.
However, the battle was over and it was too late for regret. He did not have anything to reward them with.
"Is that you, my brother? You’re still alive!" A soft voice broke the awkward silence between Weegli and Lu Li. Weegli almost burst out in tears as he hugged Sariko.
Sariko was the Goblin NPC that had given them the quest for this dungeon.
Lu Li scratched his nose in disappointment and interrupted, "Mr Sariko, we’ve completed your quest."
Sariko looked at the battlefield and shook his head, saying, "How is this considered complete? I asked you to rescue them, but Sergeant Brad and the others are all dead. According to Goblin Law, the great Sariko refuses to give you your rewards."
"They were after my wealth and belongings and attacked me first. Isn’t that right Mr. Weegli?" Lu Li corrected and stared at the terrified Goblin intensely.
"Yes, yes." Weegli said quietly as he shook uncontrollably.
With Weegli’s testimony, Sariko became less arrogant and unwillingly said, "Since my brother Weegli is willing to testify for you, I have no choice but to believe you. I’ll give you your rewards and blow up a path for you guys to advance deeper into the dungeon.
"Ok." Lu Li wasn’t expecting to receive so much today and decided not to bully these two any longer.
Sariko announced that they had completed the quest and rewarded then some EXP, as well as Gadgetzan reputation. Additionally, there was some gold and two explosive packages.
Explosive packages were a lot more powerful than the bombs that Lu Li made. However, they were harder to use and less versatile.
Having them in their arsenal was always better than not having any at all. Who knew what they could be put to use for?
The two Goblins began setting up bombs on the door to next Boss, Ukorz. They both turned around, ran away at the same time, and seconds later, the giant, sturdy door was blown to bits.
"Holy moly, that was powerful!" Sakura Memory was impressed.
Everyone couldn’t help but agree; the Goblins’ technology was truly impressive. Lu Li decided that he would continue to level up his Engineering.
"Sariko has kept his word. Do you guys have anything else to say?" Sariko asked happily; he was pleased with the explosion.
Long ago, Goblins were the native race on the Island of Kezan. They were slaves to the Trolls and were forced to mine Kaja’mite, which was considered valuable to the Trolls for voodoo. However, these minerals had a side effect which caused the Goblins to become extremely sly and intelligent.
Soon, these Goblins developed technology which they used to overthrow the Trolls and claimed the Island of Kezan as their own.
They were clearly an impressive and mighty race, though they lacked order and common sense.
"Thank you, great Sariko. Your explosive packages are too powerful. This is probably the greatest invention in history. Could you teach me how to craft them?" Lu Li asked with a smile.
"Impossible," Sariko muttered, then jumped up and shouted, "In your dreams, you greedy bastard!"
"I can give you lots and lots of Gold," Lu Li said, trying to tempt him. "You can use the gold to open up a store in Stormwind. You’ll be able to make even more money and live the life of a royal."
Sariko’s expression changed and it was clear that he was contemplating it for a few seconds. However, he snapped out of his daydreams and declared, "You’re like the devil trying to tempt me, but I will resist temptation because the great Sariko will conquer the universe!"
"I want to build my own city and invent a rocket that can launch into space…"
Lu Li didn’t realize how arrogant and crazy Sariko was. He decided to leave the two Goblins alone as they talked about their unreasonable dreams and futures.
Since the door had been blasted into pieces, they could advance to the next stage of the dungeon.
With all the commotion outside, Ukorz was awaken.
Along the long corridor were several Sandfury Shadowhunters, Bloodthirsters and other elite level monsters who were guarding for intruders.
"Let’s go!" Azure Sea Breeze charged in with his giant shield and began aggroing all the Elite monsters. Everyone else casted their skills and this wave of monsters was cleared instantly.
Upon being ignored, the two Goblins finally dropped their conversation.
Right before the fight began, Sariko reminded Lu Li with a loud voice to keep his promise of finding the Tiara of Deep for him.
"I thought you said we can’t use the explosive packages?" Wandering asked in confusion.
"I was lying to him to see if I could extort an engineering recipe out of him. It’s too bad Sariko came in and interrupted my plans. I won’t have another opportunity like that in the future," Lu Li sighed.
"What’s the Tiara of the Deep? I heard you could exchange it for four Gold Grade Equipment," Wandering said, visibly impressed with Lu Li.
"Yes, but it’s not that simple – the Tiara is a quest item, but the chances of it dropping are extremely low."
If the chances of the Tiara dropping were high, there would be an oversupply of Gold grade equipment on the market.
Gold grade equips were so rare that the top players in the major guilds might not even have a single piece.
A level 35 Silver Grade Equip would only be slightly weaker than a level 30 Gold Grade Equip. As such, most players would choose the level 35 Silver grade because they were easier to obtain and were cheaper.
When players reached level 40, level 40 Silver grade equips became available.
There were many other factors that needed to be considered besides the grade of equipment alone.
