Chapter 1712 - Disperse!
Chapter 1712: Disperse!
No one believed him at the start, but as Lu Li was speaking, he pulled out a screenshot of the Instance Dungeon. Everyone was completely stunned.
The atmosphere in the chatroom turned strange.
What could be said? What could anyone say at this time?
Suddenly, a random player called Cube House appeared in the chatroom, selling his stones.
“Selling Nature Resistance Stones. Gives 15 Nature Resistance and 200 HP. Auctioning now. Starting bid 10,000 dollars…”
Then, everyone immediately saw that Sorrowless had kicked him straight away.
As expected, Sorrowless was frustrated. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have immediately kicked him from the chatroom before he could say anything more.
This guy who was just kicked might also be targeted by Glory Capital after this. He had gotten himself involved in some scary business.
“Well then. Is that it then?” Jade Flower Lover tentatively asked.
Anyone could see that he took immense joy in this. Jade Flower Lover always admired Sorrowless’ ability to rally the people. It wasn’t that Jade Flower Lover hadn’t done something before, since he had previously formed an allied team without Ruling Sword and Glory Capital. However, he couldn’t rally the people together like Sorrowless, so the alliance that he had formed had a lot of internal issues. As a result of these issues, the team did not work well together. In the end, they could only give up.
Now, he was taking joy in Sorrowless’ failure.
“Well, there’s one more Boss at the end. The First Clear for the dungeon is still up for grabs,” Wendelian said. She didn’t want to let all this work that went into assembling Super Team go to waste.
Furthermore, if they just left after this, it would greatly damage Sorrowless’ reputation.
Sorrowless had rallied 800 guilds, but Ruling Sword still managed to take First Clear. Furthermore, they didn’t even need their main commander, Lu Li.
If they wanted to retain their reputation, they would need Sorrowless to gather a team and take the First Clear of the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj, which meant that they would need to kill the final Boss in the dungeon as well.
“No need. The Boss that we were going to compete with them for was Ouro anyway. As for the last Boss, let’s see who comes out on top this time.”
Instead, Sorrowless decided to give his own opinion on the matter and with a calm manner, he continued speaking, “This time, we must congratulate Ruling Sword on their achievement. They have brought glory to the Chinese Region. I have already arranged for the screenshot to be posted on the game forums. The game company will also look to verify the screenshot.”
No matter what, Sorrowless was someone with pride and integrity.
He already accepted that he lost this time. If he acted like a sore loser, then it wouldn’t be like him. Furthermore, the reason behind his rallying of 800 guilds was to win honour for the Region. However, since that was no longer relevant, it was pointless for them to stay here.
Even if he did achieve the First Clear for Glory Capital, it still wouldn’t cover his embarrassment completely.
At that moment, all Sorrowless could think of was to absolutely crush Ruling Sword to the ground.
Of course, that was impossible. Not only could he not do that, but he also had to thank Ruling Sword
in front of the 800 guilds.
Sorrowless then left the chatroom.
The chatroom quickly devolved a noisy market. Cube House made an appearance once again, this time selling items that would benefit the fight against Ouro.
Honestly speaking, this ‘Cube House’ was actually quite an intelligent guy.
In the whole Chinese region, the majority of buyers for these items were already here. The smaller guilds that weren’t capable enough to fight Ouro as of the current update would aim to sell their items here for a higher price.
Furthermore, with Sorrowless’ departure, no one would be kicking anyone from the chatroom anyway.
The chatroom that was meant for creating a Super Team for the Chinese region immediately became a marketplace.
Lu Li also stayed for a while and browsed through the options, managing to find a few decent things.
However, the prices were massively inflated. Furthermore, Ruling Sword had also successfully killed Ouro already, so they were not in a rush to prepare for Ouro again.
The game company would definitely nerf Ouro’s difficulty in the next few updates, so everyone was waiting for that.
After leaving the chatroom, Lu Li re-joined the team.
In the time without Lu Li, the Allied raid team had successfully defeated Ouro and distributed the spoils of war. Since Lu Li wasn’t in the team when they had the First Clear, he didn’t receive anything from it.
The stones and materials that Sky Moon sent over were only an indication of just how abundant the rewards were.
Water Fairy received a new Helmet, which resembled a princess’ tiara. Normally, only Mages and Priests wore this type of eye-catching gear, and it wasn’t ideal for a Thief to look that prominent.
However, after Lu Li had a look at the properties, he was utterly speechless.
It was far better than his current helmet. This only demonstrated the fact that set items were not the most powerful in Dawn. There were individual items that far surpassed what the set items could provide.
There were also a few others who received new items. Each of them was extremely satisfied.
The thing that provoked Lu Li’s envy the most was the reward of eight Skill Points. Eight skill points! This was an unimaginable number! Lu Li recalled that the highest that was ever given was only eight.
Lu Li reckoned that he would have received one too, had he been there.
“What do we do now?”
Upon Lu Li’s return, Sky Moon reverted to his original, cautious self.
“Let’s keep going. We’ll see just how powerful the final Boss is,” Lu Li lazily replied.
He couldn’t leave everything to Sky Moon, but he could afford to be lazy. Sky Moon was a person who needed to be pressured and pushed. It would be after constant pressure that he would be able to grow.
The Temple of Ahn’Qiraj was the main camp of the Qiraji insects. However, their king was not the top of the hierarchy because there was a mastermind behind this all – C’Thun.
C’Thun was an Old God who was extremely evil. In the Ancient times, the Void Lords launched countless corrupted seeds into the Great Dark Beyond (which would become the Old Gods) for the sake of destroying titan world-souls. Out of these seeds, there were at least four of them that were
born in Azeroth. These four were Y’Shaarj, C’Thun, Yogg-Saron and N’Zoth.
The Old Gods were deeply intertwined with the dark force, as they were creations of the Void Lords and were physical manifestations of the Void itself. As a result, they were led by the Void Lords to enter Azeroth and unleashed a curse on Azeroth which allowed them to absorb living things. This would eventually corrupt and bring the demise of the titan world soul on Azeroth.
However, when the Titans discovered that the exterior part of Azeroth had already been corrupted and destroyed by the Old Gods, they were absolutely furious. After Aman’Thul, one of the Titans, personally tore Y’Shaarj, the strongest of the Old Gods, apart, the Titans found that the Old Gods were already embedded too deep within the world’s surface. This created a giant wound in the planet’s crust, drawing the arcane lifeblood of Azeroth, the titan world-soul. For the sake of preserving the life of Azeroth, they created guardians to prevent the Old Gods from escaping their imprisonment.
The intelligent creatures on Azeroth proceeded to forget about the evils from the Ancient times, but the defeated Old Gods were not willing to remain imprisoned.
Despite being imprisoned far below the world’s crust, they were still plotting to conquer and lay waste to the world of Azeroth again.
C’Thun was defeated and sealed away during a battle at Silithus. However, due to the mistakes that Ra-den, the guardian, had made, as well as the constant and earth-shattering attacks, the guardian’s seal was weakened and destroyed. As a result, C’Thun once again became the hidden leader of the Qiraji insects.
During the War of the Shifting Sands, the Dragons had sealed away the Insect Wall, so he was trapped deep underneath the abandoned Temple of Ahn’Qiraj. However, despite this, he was still able to control the Qiraji insects and gradually gained control of Silithus over thousands of years.
However, the existence of the Qiraji insects was not what struck fear into the hearts of the Azeroth elders. They were able to defeat the insects the first time in the War of the Shifting Sands, so there was no reason that they would lose the second time. It was the existence of this Old God that made them nervous.
The gods in Azeroth were quite complicated. There were some who were extremely powerful, but there were also some who were quite weak.
However, for existences like the Old Gods, weakness did not exist. During Azeroth’s primordial times, even an extremely powerful creature like Ragnaros was only a servant of the Old Gods.
This was the last two days before next week’s cooldown. Lu Li didn’t expect anything more from this team.
It would be beneficial for them to experience the Boss’ mechanics and skills, since there wasn’t anything else better to do anyway.
The killing of the Twin Emperors and Ouro spanned across 33 days.
It was much faster than the 81 days in Lu Li’s previous life. This only went to show just how much Lu Li had affected the game.
In a world without Lu Li’s excellence, the Chinese region would not have attained the First Clear.
Glory Capital was always the leading club that brought the Chinese region against the other regions. In the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj, the competition would always be proper and with order. However, Lu Li’s existence changed this, since he was the one who brought his teams to claim First Clear after First Clear.
Some players in the US Region had also achieved the First Clear, but before they could even celebrate, someone mentioned that the Chinese Region had already accomplished this three days ago.
There were many other similar situations. In this timeline, the Chinese Region was the leading region.
The rage of the players from other regions gradually accumulated until Ouro was chosen to decide which was the best region.
Ouro: Who did I piss off?
There were also other reasons behind it, but it was estimated that it would take roughly 2 months of progress to be able to defeat Ouro. However, they had managed it in a little over a month.
