Chapter 1915 - 2012: The Arrival of the Incarnation

Chapter 1915: Chapter 2012: The Arrival of the Incarnation

On the desolate earth, a massive True Dragon skeleton crawled out from a bottomless crevasse, the ghostly white dragon skull unleashing an earth-shattering roar, as if venting the agony of countless years of slumber.

With a roar of the True Dragon, all beasts submit!

This True Dragon skeleton seemed to be responding to some kind of call and dashed wildly toward the Ancient Demon Ridge, moving at an incredible speed, its vast body like a moving mountain range.

At the same time, above the vast sea, a mass of golden flames was swirling, and something seemed to exist within those flames.

Soon, a high-pitched phoenix cry resounded, and the entire sky rained down tens of thousands of golden rays. A golden Divine Phoenix was reborn amidst the flames, its once-dried corpse gradually restoring fullness, exuding abundant vitality.

The Divine Phoenix is immortal, reborn from the flames!

This was an ancient Divine Phoenix, brought to life from death, re-emerging in the world from a burial at sea, utilizing its innate bloodline power.

Golden wings unfurled, and boundless golden fire burned half the firmament, bathing the entire Seven Seas in golden brilliance, causing many from the three sects to look on in awe.

The Sky Tower Sword Master and two others were also amidst the Seven Seas and witnessed the rebirth of the Divine Phoenix in flames firsthand. Though they were mighty figures preserved since ancient times and had witnessed many grand spectacles, this sight still left the three of them utterly shocked.

"What is going on? Ancient Exotic Beasts awakening one after another, could the world indeed be changing?" muttered the Black White Taoist Sage, staring gravely at the distant golden Divine Phoenix.

"The legend holds that the Divine Phoenix is an immortal beast, able to be reborn in flames even if all vitality is completely extinguished. It was always thought to be an exaggeration, yet here we are witnessing such a sight firsthand," the Golden Tripod Buddha Emperor remarked in awe.

"I hope this Divine Phoenix departs; if it stays, it won’t be good for us," the Sky Tower Sword Master said coldly, clearly harboring significant hostility towards the Divine Phoenix.

The Black White Taoist Sage glanced at the woman and said, "As long as we do not provoke it, I believe the Divine Phoenix will not trouble us."

While the three were speaking, the newly resurrected Divine Phoenix, wrapped in golden fire, was already heading eastward.

The east was the direction of the Nine Countries land, also where the Ancient Demon Ridge was located.

At this moment, Mo Shouhe, situated beneath the Qin Capital, also noticed the anomalies outside and without further consideration of the unpurged Demon Qi within him, appeared in the skies above, coldly observing everything.

"True Dragon, Kunpeng, Divine Phoenix, Kylin, all four great Exotic Beasts of the Ancient Wilderness have appeared today, what is their intention? Who is behind this? Could it be Fang Qingye?" Mo Shouhe’s face was extremely grim; he had already seen Kunpeng and Kylin above the Ancient Demon Ridge, as well as the True Dragon skeleton and golden fire Divine Phoenix heading toward the ridge.

Even Mo Shouhe couldn’t understand why these four long-vanished Exotic Beasts appeared at the same time on the same day, all heading toward the Ancient Demon Ridge.

"Could it be that something has changed in the Ancient Demon Ridge?" Mo Shouhe speculated silently. These four great Exotic Beasts from the Ancient Wilderness are no joke, each possessing terrifying power enough to dominate the world, slightly inferior even to the Martial Arts Supreme.

In the early ages of the Ancient Wilderness, when Demon Beasts were still the rulers of the world, standing at the apex were these four great Exotic Beasts. Whether it was the True Dragon or the Kylin, or even the Divine Phoenix and the Kunpeng, these four clans were the true rulers, and other Holy Spirits could not compete, even if all other demon clans united, they would stand no chance against any one of these four great Exotic Beasts.

Even when the initial Demon Saint emerged, becoming the Demon Saint to whom all demons submitted, these four great Exotic Beasts never truly bowed to the first Demon Saint. On learning that the first Demon Saint was an Ancient Spirit Incarnation, they united against the first Demon Saint, leading to the first Demon Saint’s fall even in the Ancient Wilderness era, relegated to surviving by clinging to the Demon Clan’s Sacred Tree.

It could be said that there existed great animosity between the first Demon Saint and the four great Exotic Beasts. Now, with the four great Exotic Beasts re-emerging and heading toward the Ancient Demon Ridge, Mo Shouhe couldn’t help but wonder if something had happened with the first Demon Saint.

If that were the case, Mo Shouhe feared he too might be implicated. Being one of the Ancient Spirit Incarnations like the first Demon Saint, if the first Demon Saint were to be destroyed, Mo Shouhe would lose a strong ally in this era, and achieving his goals would become exceedingly difficult. After all, if the first Demon Saint were vanquished, he, Mo Shouhe, could very well be the next target.

Without much hesitation, Mo Shouhe moved immediately toward the Ancient Demon Ridge, needing to see what was occurring there firsthand. If the first Demon Saint were truly in peril, he would have to intervene and offer assistance.

No sooner had Mo Shouhe set out than a figure appeared out of nowhere, blocking his path.

"Mo Martial Master, where are you heading?" A calm voice rang out, as a figure in a blue robe appeared, standing opposite Mo Shouhe, reminiscent of the days past when they would face each other.

They were long-standing rivals, who now stood face to face again after many years. But this meeting was vastly different from their past encounters.

Mo Shouhe’s heart skipped a beat; he hadn’t anticipated Fang Qingye would be so bold, appearing here regardless of the significant events happening elsewhere, solely to prevent him from going to the Ancient Demon Ridge?

"Fang Qingye, it seems you’ve become foolish over the years to dare show yourself here. What use is blocking me? The one you hold captive might seize this opportunity to break free in your absence," Mo Shouhe sneered.

Fang Qingye smiled: "That’s not something Mo Martial Master needs to worry about; I am also guarding the other side."

Hearing this, Mo Shouhe’s brow furrowed as he scrutinized Fang Qingye, finally realizing that the figure before him was not the true body but merely an incarnation.

This realization was hard for Mo Shouhe to accept; Fang Qingye’s presence and aura were unchanged from the past, undiminished, leading Mo Shouhe to initially believe this was Fang Qingye manifesting here truly.

But now it was clear, this was not Fang Qingye’s true form, just an incarnation, yet it possessed strength equal to Fang Qingye’s former abilities.

This indicated Fang Qingye had grown much stronger over the years, with even the incarnation holding such formidable power.

Comparatively, Mo Shouhe still harbored remnants of unguided Demon Qi, and even if it were fully cleansed, returning to his peak state wasn’t something achievable in a short time.

Thus, a gap in strength now existed between Mo Shouhe and Fang Qingye.
