Chapter 255 - Taking A Bath
Chapter 255: Taking A Bath
Mo Bei did not speak. After all, topics like women’s clothes were slightly dangerous.
Meanwhile, when Feng Nai finished his sentence and was just about to lift his leg to brush past her, the cell phone on the coffee table rang.
Mo Bei bent and picked up the cell phone.
As the screen flashed across, the word “Shen” was particularly obvious.
Feng Nai looked away for a moment, whereas Mo Bei walked away with the cell phone.
He could still vaguely hear that cold voice. “Mm… At the apartment. No, I’m not cold. I know, I won’t go out before the rain stops…”
Feng Nai stood in the same spot, his expression slightly indifferent. As time passed, he took another glance at that side again.
Mo Bei was wearing a faint smile. Just like snow when it first started to melt, there was a hint of coldness in her smile.
She looked totally different now.
Was it because of the person who had called?
Feng Nai, who wasn’t interested in listening to the couple’s conversation, retracted his gaze.
His right hand grabbed his teacup, as he wanted to continue drinking his tea.
Unfortunately, because the tea had cooled, it tasted slightly astringent even in his mouth.
Feng Nai lifted his brow for a moment. After putting the teacup down, he looked outside the window. Finally, in extreme boredom, he bent, pulled up his top, and strolled into the bathroom.
When the hot water hit his body, the faint frustration in his chest finally eased a little.
Mo Bei walked over after her call. Upon looking at the empty living room, she turned her gaze to the bathroom.
Was he inside?
As soon as this thought formed, the water in the bathroom stopped and a rather upset voice was heard from inside. “F*ck.”
Mo Bei lifted a brow and walked closer to the door of the bathroom. “What’s wrong?”
“There’s no water.” This was the first time Feng Nai encountered such a situation in his entire life. On his fair handsome face, there was still foam on his dark eyelashes. His refined displeasure made him look like a cat that had touched water. His resentment made him want to break something.
Mo Bei paused for a moment. “Nothing from the hot water side either?”
“No.” Feng Nai blinked and lifted a hand to wipe the foam at the corner of his eyes.
Mo Bei’s voice became quieter. “It’s probably a problem with the building. I wonder if it’s because of the rain.”
“The water being cut off has to do with the rain?” Feng Nai’s laughter was slightly mocking. “Little Brother, are you taking advantage of the fact that I have no general knowledge?”
Mo Bei coughed lightly, trying her best not to let too much emotion leak into her voice. “No, Captain, you are overthinking. There’s a towel hanging on your left, so clean yourself first.”
“Towel? Where?” Feng Nai asked lightly, evidently inexperienced with handling such matters.
Mo Bei was about to say something, when her gaze landed on the chair in front of her. “Stop searching, the towel is outside.”
She had forgotten that they’d dried themselves from the rain earlier.
“Then bring it in.”
Bring it in?
Mo Bei’s fingers froze for a while.
In the bathroom, he probably wasn’t wearing anything…
Feng Nai did not know what Mo Bei was thinking, but the shampoo was stinging his eyes a little.
While shutting one eye, he scoffed casually, “Say something! Did you fall asleep outside?”
Mo Bei’s eyes darkened. Then, she picked up the towel and twisted the doorknob.
After turning her body, her distinctly-jointed left hand reached in.
When he heard the noise, Feng Nai looked over. His single eye swept across the person, who had a hand in his pocket. His body was turned and his expression unknown, as though he was avoiding looking at him.
His right hand reached out. Just as he was about to take the towel, he saw the other person’s black eyelashes twitch.
Instantly, his thin lips curled into a smile.
He smiled like a hunter that had discovered interesting prey…
