Chapter 853 -
853 Please Open the Door
Yu Chen was two steps ahead, leading the way.
He looked around from time to time before taking a compass out of his pocket. His eyes were narrowed, and his lips were set on a thin line. It’s as if he was looking for something.
Seeing him like this, Lin Xin was even more convinced that Yu Chen would take them to a more scenic location.
Her heart was filled with curiosity, and she looked from left to right.
The man didn’t really care about the scenic wonder that they had witnessed that much. That meant that he must know a better place, right?
Thinking of this, Lin Xin ‘s heart filled with anticipation.
She held her phone close to her chest, preparing herself to take a picture of any beautiful scenery that they may witness. Her eyes were as bright as stars.
Only after walking for a thousand meters did Yu Chen finally stop. He shoved his compass back into his pocket. “We’re here,” he announced. “Everyone can stop and rest for a while.”
Lin Xin, who was holding her phone, gazed up in front of her.
Was this the beautiful scenery he was talking about?
She rubbed her forehead with a sigh.
Originally, the road was filled with forests. The scenery around them wasn’t so bad. It was peaceful, even. However, now that he had led them to the outskirts of the forests, all they could see was a small ditch with dozens of trashbags around them.
If one didn’t know any better, they would’ve assumed it was a garbage collection point.
It looked awful.
There was a small stream leading down from the hill, leaving hints of a dried-up waterfall. Now, all of what was left was a thinning stream.
It was ugly.
The place wasn’t beautiful in the slightest. In fact, it was comparable to that of a barren landscape.
Even the grass wasn’t green. It was yellow and orange. It looked like they were withering beneath their feet. Lin Xin scowled.
This man had vowed to take them somewhere, and now, they came to such a place. Was this what he had thought of for beautiful scenery?
“Sister Tang, let’s talk in private.”
Lin Xin had a weird expression on her face. “I really feel like there’s something wrong about this place, and the guy! Even his taste is different from others.”
As she spoke, she pointed at her head. There was obviously something wrong with this man’s brain.
Although she thought that she had spoken softly, Yu Chen wasn’t far away. Plus, he was an array master, so he could obviously hear them talking.
He gritted his teeth and his entire cheeks flushed red.
It was one thing to say that there was something wrong with his brain, but now he even insulted his taste? What was the matter with him?
He thought that he was a genius that only appeared once in a hundred years. And now, they were insulting him like he was nothing?
However, he couldn’t say a word.
The last thing he wanted was to be pressed to the ground and punished as he had been. Yu Chen simply clenched his fists and kept quiet.
He’d show these people soon!
Yu Chen reached into his pocket and pulled out a transparent crystal ball. The ball glowed under the sunlight as different colors reflected all around them.
“You’ll know when I open the door.”
Then, be began to chant.
Although he hadn’t been back for more than a year, it was impossible for him to not recognize his own home. A door suddenly appeared in front of him, and a smile appeared on his face.
As soon as he entered, they’d know what true beauty was.
Everyone was surprised to see the bright ball giving off such a colorful light. Even the sun in the sky wasn’t as bright as this one. They all gazed in awe as the ball kept spinning.
A few seconds later, the ball was flung onto the ground.
Suddenly, a transparent door became even more prominent. It shimmered in front of them, and they couldn’t help but gaze in wonder.
There was an air of mystery surrounding the mystery door.
The moon above them glowed even brighter if that was even possible.
“Disciples,” he called out. “Please open the door.”
