The Bigshot Shocks The World When She Backs Home

Chapter 381 - Understanding

Chapter 381: Understanding

Grandma Yao’s expression didn’t change one bit. “How’s the food, young man?” She smiled.

“The food is amazing. Thank you for inviting me here.” Yang Nian nodded, before taking another spoonful to emphasize his satisfaction with the meal.

“That’s great. If you want to order anything else, feel free to say it, okay?” Old Madam Yao’s eyes glittered before she glanced over at the young woman beside her. “You’re in the same class as my Yao Tang, right?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Then the two of you will be able to help each other out.” She smiled. “Yao Tang had also just transferred to Class 20, so if you need any help in getting around, she’d be able to extend a hand.”

Yang Nian smiled back. “If Yao Tangever needs my help, I’ll be there for her.”

Yao Tang didn’t look like she was listening to either of their them, too focused in scrolling up and down on her phone.

Grandma Yao tugged on her sleeves almost helplessly. “Yao Tang!”

Snapping back to her senses, Yao Tang glanced up at them. “Thank you,” she said after recalling their conversation. “If you need anything, feel free to ask me for help.”

Yang Nian simply nodded in reply.

He didn’t think he’d really need her help.

...

If he couldn’t solve his own problem, how could Yao Tang be able to do such? There was no need in asking for her help. He glanced back down at his plate.

Yao Ran, who had been sitting at the other side of the table, bit her lips.

Breathing out, she reached out her chopsticks to pick up a slice of meat before placing it into Yao Tang’s bowl. “Cousin,” she started. “If you need any help in the future, you should come and look for me. I’ve been in school longer, so I’d know all the ropes by now.”

She flashed a friendly smile at the two of them.

However, before she could say anything more, the piece of meat was returned to Yao Ran’s bowl.

Yao Tang continued to look unbothered as she took another bite off her own meat. She didn’t even look in her direction. Instead, she continued to eat as if Yao Randidn’t exist at all.

She didn’t expect that this woman would do such a thing while sitting in front of Yang Nian. Was she trying to humiliate her? Her grip on her chopsticks tightened.

Whatever. At least, she’d be showing her true colors to Yang Nian today. Maybe then, Yang Nianwould be even more disgusted by her actions.

Qin Man pursed her lips. “Do you not like Ranranplacing food in your bowl?”

“Yes.”

Yao Tang spoke without any hesitation.

And it stunned everyone to silence.

How could she say things like this in front of their guest? Was she insane?

“Alright!” Qin Man finally snapped, unsure what to say. “If you don’t like it, then you should tell Ranran. Don’t try to make a scene here, especially when you’re in front of a guest. Don’t you think you’ve already humiliated your sister enough?”

Yao Tang shrugged. “That has nothing to do with me.”

Qin Man sneered. She already had enough of this brat trying to outsmart all of them.

“Do you even know how to act?” She snapped. “Do you think you can act like this when you go out in the real world, huh?”

Her face remained emotionless. “Does that have anything to do with you?”

Where the hell did this brat learn her manners? Qin Man was so furious that she couldn’t even breathe properly. Her chest rose sharply as she slammed her chopsticks onto the table.

“Mom, I’m fine!”

Yao Ran was quick to mediate the situation, trying to look as gentle as possible.

At this point, Qin Man didn’t know what to feel.

She was initially afraid that Yang Nian would be attracted to Yao Tang, which would naturally affect her plans. After all, Yao Tang, as much as she hated to admit it, was beautiful.

But it seemed that she was just overthinking things.

There was no way this vulgar woman would be qualified enough to enter the Yang Family.

Even if Yang Nian were to like her, his family wouldn’t agree to anything.

Ranran was obviously the first choice. Not only was she gentle and sweet, but she was also extremely intelligent and reasonable. She was the best choice for any young heir.

It was no contest! Anyone with eyes would know who was the better choice!
