Chapter 151 - The Math Test Was Hard!
Chapter 151: The Math Test Was Hard!
Qin Jing sighed in relief, dimpling at her friend.
“At least you did well. That’s what matters.”
Sister Tang had done well in her exams. That was enough to put a smile on Qin Jing’s face.
Yao Tang, however, did not say anything else. Instead, she continued with her meal. Only when she had finished did she take her phone and excuse herself for a while.
There was something she wanted to speak about with the Shadow League.
By the time she had finished her call, she saw a row of people standing right behind her. They stared at her expectantly.
“Let’s go!”
Yao Tang waved her hand from afar. Despite her usual disposition, there was a small smile in her eyes when she addressed her friends.
Upon seeing this, the others followed suit.
…
In the afternoon, inside the exam hall.
Calculating stares followed Yao Tang as she took her seat, but she couldn’t really care any less. Instead, she twirled the pencil in her hand and rested her head on her arms, waiting.
Within a few more minutes, the paper had already been handed out.
Everyone took their turns in grabbing the paper. As soon as they did, they subconsciously flipped to the back of the page where all of the complicated questions were.
And damn, they weren’t expecting it to be this difficult!
Everyone took a deep breath, squeezing their eyes shut.
Then, they started flipping the booklet to the first page, only to be left in surprise. The entire exam hall was filled with sighs of frustration as the students struggled not to pull their hair out.
Oh, they were dead!
Usually, the most complex and complicated questions were saved for the back of the booklet. That was understood, so it was fine if they didn’t know the answer to it. Nobody knew except for a handful of geniuses.
However, now that they had reviewed the front of the page, they realized that the questions were all pretty complicated.
What the hell was this?
“Ugh!”
“What the hell am I going to do now?”
“Fuck, how am I going to ace this?”
“Ergh, I hate you, teachers!”
Some students held their exam paper up in the air, groaning and covering their faces, while others stared blankly at their paper, praying for a miracle.
Why was this test so difficult?
The only one who didn’t react as much was Yao Tang. When she had received the exam paper, she didn’t even look at them closely as she began to write down her answers.
Her face was blank.
While she was answering the paper, she took a sip from her cup. Sighing in satisfaction, she turned to the next page and continued.
The proctor stood on the stage. He crossed his arms as the hall burst with refusal and complaints. His gaze sweeping across the hall, he pursed his lips. “If you continue to shout, you will be taken to the principal’s office for cheating. The examination hall must remain silent at all times.”
Upon hearing his words, the students sighed in defeat and helplessly picked up their pens. For a moment, everyone could only hear their pens etching across the paper.
The hours passed by quickly.
Everyone was still deep in thought when the proctor started to patrol the class for the last round.
Most of the examinees were already seizing the little time they had in doing the more complicated questions. While a handful were determined in getting it right, there were others who had already given up – staring at the paper in boredom.
When the proctor reached Yao Tang’s seat, he noticed that she was already drawing something on the paper reserved for calculations. With a frown, he edged closer to take a look.
The paper was messy, and upon leaning his head, he saw that they weren’t words at all.
From the shape to the shade of the fabric… they looked like design for clothes.
There seemed to be a faint smile appearing on her lips as her pen scribbled across the surface. The cold aura she usually emits was long gone – replaced by calmness and silence.
It was a pity she didn’t like to study. She could’ve had so much potential.
With a sigh, he had moved to the next student.
Along the way, from the looks of the students, he had a rough idea as to how difficult the exam was.
“Please stand up, everyone, and pack your belongings. The exam is over.”
The time had really passed by quickly, and everyone soon headed out into the hallway.
As soon as they did so, their silence soon transformed into bitter complaints and loud exclamations as they discussed the difficulty of the exam.
There were a few students who had taken out their phones and began to search for the right answer. As they did so, they could only groan in frustration.
Obviously, most of the students felt that the exam this time was really difficult.
Yao Tang had just reached the ground floor when she ran into Qin Jing.
Far away, Qin Jing waved at her and ran over. “Sister Tang,” she hurriedly said. “How did it go? God, I didn’t expect the exam to be difficult this time around. I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to get a good score.”
Although the Qin Family couldn’t care less about her results, she wanted to have good grades just like Sister Tang. That way, she could have the chance to get into the same university as Yao Tang.
There was no way she was separating from her friend.
“It is what it is.” Yao Tang shrugged in response and took her phone out from her pocket.
She appeared quite indifferent, as if the test hadn’t happened.
However, Qin Jing knew for a fact that her silence could only mean confidence. This exam surely wasn’t difficult for her. She probably knew all the questions within a couple of minutes.
Qin Jing couldn’t help but be curious. What kind of question was difficult that even her idol Sister Tangwouldn’t be able to answer? Did that kind of question even exist in the world?
