Chapter 127 - Filled with Bad Ideas!
Chapter 127 Filled with Bad Ideas!
Yao Tang, after all, was very smart. She did everything for a reason, and Qin Jing shouldn’t underestimate her.
Yet, this person who had claimed to be her sister was only spouting a series of nonsense!
She gritted her teeth. This Yao Family truly is one for the books.
Yao Ran’s smile was frozen to her face, clenching her fists. “The teachers in our class are truly the very best. The students they had taught previously all topped the college entrance exam. It will be a good choice for your future.”
“Is that all?” Qin Jing said coldly.
“No.”
“All right.” Without another word, she turned her back on the girl and returned to her classroom.
Yao Ran icily gazed at her back before leaving Class 20.
“Hey, why was she looking for you?”
Meng Yang who had seen Qin Jingreturn, immediately went up to ask.
Although Qin Jing had no idea about the Yang Rongincident, the eldest daughter of the Qin Family would’ve likely gotten a feel of Yao Ran.
“Ugh! She immediately talked crap about Yao Tang before asking me to switch classes with her.”
Qin Jing slammed her book onto the table. “I can’t believe people can’t see her for what she truly is,” she spat. “She doesn’t even hold a candle to our Yao Tang.”
“Yeah. Let me tell you-that girl may look weak, but she’s truly evil.”
Glancing from side to side, Meng Yang lowered his voice. “In the past, she even instructed Ruan Qingto “expose” Sister Tangin hopes of kicking her out of school. It’s a good thing Sister Tanghad the proof she needed, but…”
His face had already grown bright red at the memory.
“Don’t worry, I won’t believe a word that comes out of her mouth.” Qin Jing nodded rapidly. “I’ll follow Sister Tangto the ends of the world!”
Meng Yang simply smiled in response.
It was a holiday today, so they got an afternoon off.
Yao Tang and Lin Xinwere walking to the dormitory building when her phone started to ring. She picked it up and answered it, “Hello?”
“It’s a holiday, right? I’ll wait for you by the school gate,” a familiar voice sounded from the other end of the line.
It was Cheng Yan!
“Sure.”
After hanging up, she turned around and saw Lin Xin gazing at her. “Is that Mr. Cheng?”
“Yeah.” She nodded, excusing herself out of the dormitory. As soon as she came out, she saw Cheng Yan standing by the roadside. The sunlight shone over him, highlighting his tall figure. Yao Tang slowly walked over.
However, instead of being greeted by his bright smile, she was only met with furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips.
“Why didn’t you tell me about what happened?” he said lowly. “I only found out about the forum incident from someone else.”
Yao Tang turned her face slightly and gazed up at him, not saying a word.
Neither of them moved. They simply stared into each other’s eyes for what seemed like forever, as if daring the other to speak. Finally, Cheng Yan helplessly pulled away.
“When are you going to believe that I’ll be there to help you? No matter how small or large.”
After so many things had happened to her, she didn’t bother to give him a call.
It’s as if she didn’t even care for him.
“I know that,” she said with no hesitation. “I’m just used to relying on myself. That’s all.”
That’s how it had always been. She had never thought that there was someone else she could rely on.
She didn’t really care if it were a man or a woman.
Whenever she had encountered a problem, she’d think about how to solve it herself.
Cheng Yan sighed, but a smile had finally returned to his features. “Get in the car,” he said, opening the door for her. “It’s windy out. You might catch a cold.”
“Okay,” Yao Tang replied and got into the car.
Cheng San kept a certain distance from the pair. As soon as he saw them enter, he turned his head. “Young Master Cheng, should we head back to the Imperial Palace?”
“Let’s go to Tian Run Mall.”
“All right.”
Yao Tang saw a cup of milk tea and a mango chiffon cake. Glancing up at Cheng Yan, her lips twitched. “Thank you.”
He knew that she hadn’t eaten yet, so he even managed to buy her some snacks.
How thoughtful!
He passed her the milk tea. “That’s a good start you know-saying thank you.”
She was used to relying on herself?
Then he’d just have to let her get used to him sticking by her side. That way, she didn’t have to be so reliant on herself. After all, carrying that burden all on her own was exhausting.
Yao Tang raised her eyebrows slightly. Reaching to take the drink, she took a sip. It was sweet, with a hint of strawberry.
“What are you planning on doing now?”
“I’m heading to the supermarket.” He shrugged. “What do you want to eat tonight?”
“You came all the way here to cook for me?”
“Either we eat out or I cook for you.” He shrugged. “Choose one.”
It was a rarity to meet with her, so he might as well make this day worthwhile.
