Chapter 1739: Turning the Tide
Chapter 1739: Chapter 1739: Turning the Tide
The doctor’s intense noise, the car landed smoothly, and Jian Dan slowly opened her eyes. As she opened them, she unconsciously glanced back. The abyss that was so deep it seemed bottomless felt eerily familiar, as if she had flown over it more than once before.
Just as Jian Dan hadn’t yet recovered from the shock, the car had already crossed the finish line...
At the moment the car stopped, countless images flashed through Jian Dan’s mind, and she instantly felt a splitting headache, "Ah—" everything went black and she fainted.
When she awoke again, she found herself lying in a room, and in front of the window stood a person with hands clasped behind their back.
She propped herself up with both hands and sat upright.
"Awake?"
"Zimo, what on earth are you trying to do? When will you release Bai Haochen?" Jian Dan spoke with a slight frown.
After hearing Jian Dan’s words, Qiu Zimo’s lips curled into a smile, "Not bad, huh? You can still recognize me as Zimo?"
What? Jian Dan was instantly bewildered.
What did she just call her?
"I see I’ve already successfully disrupted the balance in your mind," Qiu Zimo said with a charming smile as she walked over to Jian Dan’s side.
"What do you mean?" Jian Dan instinctively leaned back a little.
"Are you feeling that your mind is now in utter chaos, unable to make sense of many things?
Your reaction is exactly the result of a broken balance."
"I still don’t get it!"
"In fact, you have amnesia and your mind is filled with many memories that don’t belong to you. This is because you were hypnotized, and those memories were forcibly implanted into your mind, which is why whenever you tried to recall past events, you would get terrible headaches trying to prevent disrupting the balance.
Once the balance is broken, the memories in your mind will become chaotic, with the forgotten and implanted ones pulling at each other.
It’s just like how you couldn’t remember who I am, yet subconsciously called out my name!" Qiu Zimo patiently explained to Jian Dan.
"You mean the reason I’ve become like this is because someone hypnotized me?" Jian Dan looked at Qiu Zimo incredulously.
"That’s right."
"Is hypnosis really that powerful?"
"It’s far more powerful than you can imagine!"
Jian Dan suddenly felt a chill run down her spine.
"Now that the balance within you has been disrupted, I can use hypnosis to help you sort out the chaotic memories in your mind."
"Okay..." As soon as Jian Dan spoke, she felt herself standing in front of a vast white screen, on which different scenes flashed constantly, rearranging and forming a dynamic chain.
In the blink of an eye, Jian Dan’s thoughts returned to reality.
Slowly opening her eyes, she saw the beautiful face in front of her, "Zimo!"
"Ah! Hearing you call me that all the time didn’t have much effect before, but now it actually sounds quite nice!" Qiu Zimo said with a smile.
"Zimo, you’re really amazing. How do you manage to hypnotize someone without doing anything at all?"
"Ha, lass, you didn’t think hypnosis meant swinging a watch in front of you with some words to steer you, did you?"
"Isn’t it?"
"Is your thinking still stuck in the seventies or eighties?" Qiu Zimo shook her head with a smile, her eyes full of fondness.
"Hehe!" Jian Dan grinned sheepishly.
"When I was hypnotizing you just now, I implanted a wedge in your subconscious so you won’t be so easily hypnotized again."
"Thank you, Zimo." Jian Dan hugged Qiu Zimo’s arm tightly and rested her head on Qiu Zimo’s shoulder.
