At a dormitory within the student hostels of the Imperial Academy.

Chen Lan frowned as he closed the cover of his laptop on the table. He suddenly noticed that he’d forgotten something — to buy train tickets.

Looks like I have no choice but to choose a different method of transport. Chen Lan thought for a moment before he tossed such a trivial matter to the back of his mind and walked out of the dormitory.

There was a very imposing hummer parked outside the hostel, and it had the insignia of the military on it. If it were during any other ordinary day when classes were being held, then just this hummer alone would be sufficient to arouse fervor in many male students who were military enthusiasts.

But all the students were on leave to return home and celebrate the new year, so no one paid any attention to the hummer.

The window of the hummer was winded down when Chen Lan appeared here, and then a gorgeous face that was on the wild side emerged from within the hummer. She waved at Chen Lan from afar and said, “Handsome!”

It was naturally Liang Liang who was within the hummer.

Liang Liang chuckled, “Alright, alright. Get on quickly. Just leave such a trivial matter to me.”

Only then did Chen Lan get in the hummer.

Liang Liang slammed her foot against the pedal, and the hummer roared like a wild beast while smoke sprayed out from its exhaust before it shot out of the campus.

“You called your girlfriend just now?” Liang Liang spoke casually. She seemed very wild and rugged when she drove. She chewed on gum while she had a cigarette in one hand and the steering wheel in the other. Chen Lan nodded, yet he still seemed calm and composed as before.

“Come, a very famous female star seems to have come here to put on a show today. I think she was called Yun something Wei.” Liang Liang grinned and said, “I heard that some of those profligate young masters weren’t able to restrain themselves anymore, and they intend to do their thing tonight and conquer that national beauty. I can help introduce you if you’re interested, and I won’t say a thing even if you force yourself on her.”

Chen Lan frowned yet didn’t say a word.

As she spoke, both of them were led in by one of the waiters and entered Black Hibiscus without encountering any obstruction.
