Chapter 337 - Clean out (3)
Chapter 337: Clean out (3)
-Humans. Do you want war? Do not test our patience.
The warning made by a single dragon was enough to quell all the uprisings against the Khalodian Empire’s decision. Few swore to exact revenge against dragons, but they quickly disappeared without the others knowing.
“Do you think it’s them?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. There is no concrete evidence, but we think it’s them.”
Duvall answered and Jinpok and Joonbum nodded. Dragons were terrifying beings. It seemed like most dragons were living amongst humans disguised as humans, killing all those who spoke of revenge against the dragons.
“Thanks to them, we are almost done absorbing the remaining forces within the Alliance.”
The fall of the Alliance’s headquarters based in an old K-Mart building brought many of its remnant soldiers and civilians to the arms of the Khalodian Empire. It was especially so for nobles who survived the onslaught of the dragons.
“So, what do you think happened on the other side?” Jinpok asked teasingly. Joonbum lit up his cigarette and smiled.
“I think we have already united most of the land there.”
“Whoa. Aren’t you going a bit too far with that?”
Jinpok then turned to Duvall. Duvall was known for his brilliant thoughts and predictions.
“I have shared my thoughts with His Majesty, Commander Jinpok. Chancellor Jackson must have done it by now.”
“You think so too?”
Jinpok then lit up his cigarette also.
“I think so, Commander. It was also the reason why we brought all those forces from the Alliance over to this world. They have taken the bait.”
Jinpok nodded. The time of the Gate being open was for one year, but it was enough time to excavate as much as possible from Earth and send things over. All these new findings brought many greedy nobles from the Alliance to move over. This should have weakened the entire Alliance.
“I am sure the land has been unified. Oh, but maybe except Sadiu and the other pro-empire kingdoms.”
Everyone nodded.
“Oh, so how is the preparation going?” Joonbum asked Duvall.
Duvall turned to Joonbum.
“You mean the Goblin Emissaries to cross over the gate, Your Majesty?”
“Yeah.”
Jinpok shook his head with a frown.
“We have 200 goblins from their Royal family, 300 goblins from nobles, 1,000 families, 200 generals, 70,000 goblin soldiers, and 10,000 servant goblins, Your Majesty.”
Slight silence fell. It was a huge number of goblins. Duvall shook his head.
“I tried my best to reduce their numbers. They first requested bringing a total of 200,000.”
“Hah! Are they going to war or something?” Jinpok spat.
“But 200 royal families?” Joonbum asked curiously.
“Yes, Your Majesty. The Goblin Emperor has 3,000 wives… and they usually have 5 to 10 babies at once.”
That was shocking news.
“Whoa. Can they manage that many?”
Duvall answered Joonbum’s question.
“They have a short lifespan, sire. A lot of them die out in the wilderness or in fighting amongst themselves over the competition.”
That was the reason why goblins had many babies.
“Should we be worried for them requesting to arrange interracial marriages?”
“That won’t happen, sire.”
Jinpok shuddered at the old memory.
“Any others?”
Duval continued, “Many people want to visit the Gate. We are in the process of allowing for a guided tour across the Gate.”
“Are you sure about that? They might be considered as animals in a zoo. That might anger them.”
“I think they understand that well, sire.”
Joonbum nodded.
“And they still want to go?”
“Yes, Your Majesty. And we are making every preparation so that it won’t happen.”
There was already a huge number of goblins moving over as emissaries. Some people didn’t seem to think of that as much of an issue anyway.
“Do you want to join?”
“Can I? I have a lot of friends who want to, actually.”
“Yes, but you shouldn’t do something like that again.”
Graham waved his head at that.
“I couldn’t let them be. They were considering us as prey, even after you announced the agreement. I couldn’t let them endanger our own lives.”
“Yes, I understand. But I hope you leave those problems in the hands of humans in the future.”
“Of course.”
