Chapter 4187: Master And Disciple Fighting Together

Chapter 4187: Master And Disciple Fighting Together

In the distance, Lu Yin and Greater Sancte Awe Gate pushed the lid off of the red coffin and climbed out, letting out breaths of relief before simultaneously looking over at Hui.

"That was a vicious move. You use that Drum-Sound Realm to prevent anyone from moving and then used your cosmic law to force others to move, detonating the realm. The power of that combination is almost unheard of. If we had really been forced to take that head-on, even if Senior Awe Gate and I didn’t die, we’d be crippled," Lu Yin said emotionally.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate dusted off her clothes. "But just as how you have a floating coffin, so do we."

Lu Yin grinned. "And red looks better than silver, doesn’t it?"

Hui had just forced the two humans to move by relying on their cosmic law, and that movement had detonated the Drum-Sound Realm. Lu Yin could have teleported out of the universe, and the Drum-Sound Realm would not have been able to follow him. He could even have taken Greater Sancte Awe Gate along, but what about Mister Mu?

He had had no choice but to draw the Drum-Sound Realm away from the man. The destruction had been drawn to those who moved, which meant that Lu Yin and Greater Sancte Awe Gate had been the targets.

While they had managed to draw the destruction away, they had not been able to endure its power on their own.

Fortunately, Lu Yin had brought the red coffin along with him. He had left it outside the megaverse as a bit of insurance. The coffin’s defenses were terrifying. Lan Meng had used their blue coffin to block Greater Sancte Green Lotus’s full-power Karmic Heavenwheel. No matter how powerful the Drum-Sound Realm might be, it could not surpass Green Lotus’s attack.

Lu Yin had simply teleported to the coffin and brought to Awe Gate, and then they had both hidden away inside after moving away from Mister Mu and Kang Tian, luring the destruction of the Drum-Sound Realm to them.

It seemed like a lengthy series of events, but it had all happened in an instant. Lu Yin and Awe Gate had only slipped into the red coffin a moment after Hui had hidden themselves in the silver one.

That brief moment had resulted in some injuries to Lu Yin, though nothing serious. The same was true for Greater Sancte Awe Gate.

In the middle of outer space, a silver coffin and a red coffin floated across from each other.

Hui could hardly believe their eyes. They felt like they were hallucinating. How could Qi Xu’s red coffin be in the hands of a human? Even if he did have it, it should have been impossible to close the coffin. No coffin could ever be used without the power of the Obscura.

What was going on?

"Human, who are you really?" Hui lost all semblance of composure. Each new ability that Lu Yin revealed shocked the silver being beyond words.

As a member of Obscura, what civilizations had Hui not seen? They had even interacted with fishing civilizations, witnessing countless impossibilities. Despite all of that, Lu Yin remained unique. A human who could merge with the will of a megaverse, bringing a joke of the Aevum Inch to reality, was already absurd enough. On top of that, he had also comprehended karma and somehow possessed the ability to teleport, which was something that no human should ever possess. Hui could still force themself to somewhat accept all of that, but why did this human also have Obscura’s power?

That was just too bizarre.

It was strange to the point where Hui could not help but wonder if Obscura had sent someone to replace them.

As Lu Yin fully emerged from the red coffin, he slowly exhaled. "I was sent by Obscura to replace you."

Hui was left speechless.

Lu Yin just smiled. The star of divine energy spun in his inner universe, and a red line flashed. Crimson divine energy immediately erupted, spreading out like a mist that surrounded his whole body. When he reappeared, he had already completed his divine-energy transformation.

A black line trailed down from his left eye. His hair billowed out behind him like a red sea. What looked like savage crimson tattoos marked his arms, while black-red clouds appeared on his chest. He looked as if he had emerged from a sea of blood.

Unlike the previous times he had used this transformation, the crimson energy blasted out from him this time, rippling across the universe and dyeing the entire place crimson.

Seeing this, Hui gritted their teeth. "Why? Why would Obscura send you to replace me?"

Lu Yin was surprised that Hui believed him. After all, he had only traveled to the megaverse to help Mister Mu with his breakthrough.

However, it was not unusual for Hui to believe such a claim. To begin with, they had never truly respected Obscura, and they had also waited in the same megaverse for countless years. Additionally, Lu Yin looked far too qualified of a replacement. Despite not being an Immortal, his strength unquestionably qualified him to join Obscura. More importantly, he possessed Obscura’s divine energy and the red coffin.

If Lu Yin was not part of Obscura, how could he control the red coffin?

It was simply impossible for Hui to not believe that Lu Yin was a member of Obscura.

As for Mister Mu, who was in the middle of his breakthrough, Hui had forgotten about the man. The silver being could only consider the matter of Lu Yin and Obscura at the moment. All of their thoughts were consumed by this subject.

If Obscura really wanted to replace Hui, they were in deep trouble. How could Hui alone compare to such a powerful organization?

Lu Yin thrust a palm forward. An arc of crimson divine energy pierced the void, crashing towards Hui.

The silver creature waved a hand and retaliated with a silver arc.

The two energies collided in the middle of outer space. Lu Yin teleported to Hui’s side, while Greater Sancte Awe Gate emerged from one of her gates, thrusting Awecloud forward while using Cloud Manifest.

Hui no longer had the heart to fight. Both their Drum-Sound Realm and silver world had been broken. It was basically impossible to overpower two humans, which meant that Hui needed to leave. If not, then as soon as the man’s breakthrough was finished, it would be very difficult for Hui to leave.

Hui wanted to go, but Lu Yin refused to allow it to leave. If Hui had left before fighting, Lu Yin would not have stopped the creature, as his main goal had always been to help Mister Mu become an Immortal. Revenge came second.

Unfortunately, Hui had forced Lu Yin to reveal all of his secrets. Having been completely exposed, how could Lu Yin allow an enemy to escape?

Having seen the battle unfold in outer space, Kang Tian swallowed hard. It was simply too brutal. All three were too vicious, and they were all much stronger than it.

Especially Lu Yin. How could a mere Aberrant be so terrifying? It made no sense.

In comparison, Mister Mu’s breakthrough no longer seemed so dazzling anymore.

As soon as that thought occurred to the snail, Kang Tian suddenly looked over at Mister Mu, who was still inside the cauldron. The man’s aura had completely vanished. His eyes betrayed neither sorrow nor joy, having grown empty and unfocused. It was clear that the man was staring into the distance, and yet there was nothing to be seen in his eyes.

Mister Mu’s whole being was like spring water at the bottom of a deep well: silent, with a deathlike stillness.

Kang Tian was shocked. Did he fail and die? If so, then this human civilization has unbelievably bad luck. They’ve paid a tremendous price and have fought so hard,. Was it all for it to end in failure?

As the snail’s thoughts continued, Mister Mu’s calm eyes suddenly turned to meet Kang Tian’s gaze.

At that moment, Kang Tian felt as if the cosmos was collapsing. The power in its body grew completely still and refused to respond. Instinctively, the snail retreated. As it fled, the nine cauldrons merged back into one. Mister Mu rose to his feet and took a step forward, joining the battlefield. Behind him, the cauldron split back into nine, shooting through space to crash into Hui.

Hui turned their head, horrified. He succeeded?

Lu Yin and Greater Sancte Awe Gate were overjoyed. They could feel how Mister Mu’s power had transformed. He had gained inexhaustible Lifeforce and some sort of unfathomable depth that defied all words. All of this proved just one thing: Mister Mu’s breakthrough had been successful.

"Master!" Lu Yin said, exhilarated.

Mister Mu laughed loudly. "Little Seven, we should join hands, as master and disciple. We will dominate and slay our ancient enemy and return clear skies to my megaverse."

"Wonderful!" Lu Yin shouted. He swept a hand, and another arc of divine energy shot out to slam into Hui.

Greater Sancte Awe Gate smiled as a fierce, cold attack stabbed downward.

Mister Mu fused the nine cauldrons into one. Dominion.

This was the first time that Lu Yin had seen Mister Mu use the Ninesuns Cauldron Transformation. The domineering pressure that appeared felt as if it could pin everything down.

Hui clenched their teeth. You want to kill me? Dream on!

It was at that moment that Hui had realized the truth; with Mu Zhi present, how could his disciple ever join Obscura?

Boom, boom, boom...

Drumbeats rang out, but Mister Mu took out his wooden flute. The flute played a song of parting and forgetting of life.

The flute was not nearly as loud as the drum, and yet it restrained the drumbeats and overwhelmed the tearing sensation.

Lu Yin’s arc of divine energy crashed down, only to be shoved aside by Hui. Awecloud stabbed at them, but Hui twisted out of the way. Even so, they could not avoid the cauldron.

The cauldron slammed into the silver being with enough force to actually drive Hui back multiple steps.

Mister Mu had only just broken through, and yet he could already force Hui back. Greater Sancte Awe Gate was stunned.

Furthermore, the man was using a flute’s music to dominate the drumbeats. That drum was a mirebound artifact, so how was this happening?

Greater Sancte Awe Gate was not the only one unable to understand what was happening, as Lu Yin was similarly confused. Are those who become Immortals through their own abilities really this strong?

Greater Sancte Green Lotus had been the first example, while Mister Mu was the second.

Lu Yin teleported in. Hui immediately attempted to dodge, only to find that they could barely move. Everything around them had become fixed in place. It was not the power of space, but rather the power of time. Origin Tracer.

Mister Mu had used Origin Tracer to seal the time surrounding Hui. Time and space supported each other. If time did not move, space could not change. Space could chase time, and similarly, time could lock space.

An arc of divine energy smashed into Hui’s back as Awe Gate’s spear pierced their abdomen. The silver that formed Hui’s body flowed down the spear, only to suddenly scatter.

"Master, be careful!" Lu Yin warned.

The void grew still in front of Mister Mu. Gray currents of time swirled about as it once again locked space in place with Origin Tracer.

Lu Yin had also learned Origin Tracer, but he had never imagined using it in such a fashion. Locking space with time formed the ultimate defense. This was still beyond his capabilities.

Hui was facing the three humans on their own, and they had instantly been forced into a losing position. The battle had only barely begun when a smear of black was flung at the silver creature. What is that?

They became trapped again, but this time by the power of space. Kang Tian had flung out a spatial mire.

The snail had seized the opening to throw out a trap.

Hui was furious. The drum rang out even louder, in an attempt to bring the Drum-Sound Realm back.

At the same time, the flute played again, its music distorting the drumbeats and making it much more difficult for the Drum-Sound Realm to appear.

The silver sword slashed out in all directions, only for the attacks to be swallowed by gates.

Everything that Hui was capable of had already been used and countered by Lu Yin and Greater Sancte Awe Gate. The silver being had nothing left to use. Their body continuously took damage, yet they did not bleed. Instead, the silver started to dim.

They wanted to flee but could not. They were pinned down by the three humans, while Kang Tian manipulated space from outside of the battlefield. Hui was completely cornered.

"Do you really think that you can kill me? Do you think that any member of Obscura can die so easily?" Hui roared. From within their body, the silver line darted about, flickering about again and again. Each flash caused Obscura’s power to surge within them. Hui’s aura skyrocketed beyond anything they had revealed before, and it kept rising.

The three of humans exchanged glances. Hui was finally going all out.

"It should have some life-saving method from Obscura. It can erupt with this power briefly, but this can’t last. When Senior Mi Jin and the others fought Qi Xu, she did something similar. Be very careful," Greater Sancte Awe Gate warned.

A cauldron appeared before Mister Mu. Lifeforce surged within it, rising like mist, before the cauldron suddenly expanded.

A heaven formed within the cauldron, and above that heaven stood a solitary figure.

He stepped forward, entering the cauldron. His body expanded endlessly with the cauldron, appearing like a phantom, yet also not quite.

Lu Yin’s eyes bulged. This looked similar to when he merged with the will of a megaverse, but with the Ninesuns Cauldron Transformation. Was the person merging with the will of the megaverse or a cauldron?

Hui clenched the hilt of their silver sword and slashed it at Mister Mu.

Mister Mu spun his wooden flute and tapped downwards.

The collision completely distorted the void, leaving nothing visible. The next moment, the cauldron cracked, shattering to pieces as Mister Mu coughed blood and retreated. He had only just broken through and possessed very little Immortal matter. How could he face Hui head-on?

But what happened next shocked Lu Yin and Greater Sancte Awe Gate once again.
