Chapter 6 – The Ability to Change God’s Will (逆天运数)
Jing Yunzhao was confused. Is he her grandfather or maybe her great grandfather? But why is he transparent? And he said that we’re inside this jade pendant…is there really such a supernatural thing as this otherworldly space?
“Jing Yunzhao,” even though she was suspicious, she replied obediently.
“Yunzhao, you can call me your ancestor. I am named Jing He (景鹤). In another world, I was a talented doctor. Thousand years of fate lead me to this current world. I lived a hard life of grinding my medical skills to save the lives of others, but I was only able to live 300 years. I was supposed to reincarnate, but I couldn’t throw away these years of medical knowledge and experience. So I left a fragment of my soul in this jade space. I wanted to wait for that fateful descendant. I wanted to pass on the things I’ve acquired,” sighed the ancient man.

Jing Yunzhao was listening, and her heart was filled with fear and surprise. Numerous emotions were flashing through.

She had just lived a terrible life and died. She should’ve been a miserably unlucky person, but she was suddenly given another chance to live. Was this the ability to change god’s will that he was speaking of?
“Gra-grandpa, you mean I’m the one you’ve been waiting for?” Jing Yunzhao asked hesitantly. She found it difficult to call him “ancestor.”
“Yes. I can tell. Your body is surrounded by a good air. If it were the world I was in before, you’d have unlimited room to grow, but I’m afraid you won’t be able to grow as much in this world. Yunzhao, are you willing to inherit my medical skills?” Asked the old man.
Jing Yunzhao wanted to accept of course.

“Grandpa, to be honest, I’ve never studied medicine,” she knew that most Eastern doctors begin learning at a young age. She had never touched the subject before. Even if this elder wanted to teach her…if he were to discover later that she was nothing but a deadwood, wouldn’t his hard work go to waste?
The ancient man heard this and laughed delightfully,” Do not worry. As long as you are willing, I will have my ways.”
Jing Yunzhao was still doubtful, but after hearing what the old man said, she accepted and nodded.
This ancient being’s medical skills must be unthinkable. If she were to learn some, she’d benefit from it greatly.
The old man saw her response and reached out his hand to move the wheel on the table. Suddenly, the wheel rose from the stone table. Beneath it was a hidden space, and inside it was a scroll surrounded by a green light.
“That’s…” that green treasure seemed incredible.
“Written in this scroll are all that I’ve learned. This scroll holds many things… .It is made of spiritual jade pieces that I brought from another world. There is a total of 99 pieces. Start learning from the first piece. Every time you use a new piece, you must drip a drop of blood onto it. All of the information will flow into your mind and carve itself there. You can only continue onto the next piece after you have memorized all there is to absorb,” explained the ancient being.

Jing Yunzhao’s heart had already calmed itself completely.

“Thank you,” Jing Yunzhao said gratefully.
“You are my descendant. No need for words of gratitude. You must not forget: ambition will not let you fly freely. Only one piece at a time. Do not be greedy. Your brain cannot hold so much information. Even if you do not turn stupid from it, you will turn mad. You can use this space to plant herbs.
