Chapter 368 - Devotee Li, Save Grandfather's Younger Brother, Who Is Cutting Off Desires
Chapter 368: Devotee Li, Save Grandfather’s Younger Brother, Who Is Cutting Off Desires
William Murdoch said, “The Black Water Spirit Bead inside your body, it is also known as Dragon Bead. The Unparalleled War Spirit probably told about it before, right?”
Li Xianyu froze.
“Dragon Bead, the name has its significance. As you can tell from its name, it should be the historical demon that escaped out from the Great Deities Palace.”
It was a given that Li Xianyu knew that the Black Water Spirit Bead was also known as Dragon Bead. It was a prized treasure among the royalty back in the Qing Dynasty, and Great-Godma told him about it before.
“How did you know all of this?” Li Xianyu had a frown on his face as he spoke.
“Back then, when the Eight Nation Alliance invaded China, the ancestors of my family once had the thrilling experience of sitting down in the Dragon Throne. They also tried out the feeling of being the Emperor. Of course, the matter of engraving words on Dowager Cixi’s bed had nothing to do with our Murdoch family. The talion of our families are all gentlemen.” William had a small smile on his lips, as he said, “Unparalleled War Spirit was created at that time, and our family tribe would naturally know some of its secrets.”
Bill Murdoch, who was beside him, shrugged his shoulders, said in a weird tone, “As long as the Chinese is able to afford it, we will be willing to lend our wealth to countries as long as everyone is happy.” He spoke in Mandarin.
Li Xianyu’s facial expressions turned dark, and had a frown on his face as he said, “Are you looking for death?”
In 1900, when the Qing Dynasty lost the battle, Empress Dowager Cixi wrote her will, which said, “As long as the Chinese are able to afford it, we will be willing to lend our wealth to countries as long as everyone is happy.”
It meant, “With the power of Chinese money, if we are able to afford it, we will give it, as long as the West would be happy with it.”
Li Xianyu was taught history by his physical education teacher, and his results were horrible. He avoided anything related to history, and was unwilling to learn. He did not want to face it. The moment he heard about the Old Summer Palace getting burned down, he would feel very frantic. Although it was proved after that, that the Old Summer Palace was not done by the Western ghosts.
After that, there were two people that changed him. One was Wang Chen, and he was the one who made Li Xianyu face the sad Japanese Occupation. Another one was Great-Grandma. She was the one who made him take the initiative to understand the sad depressing times that the Chinese were forcefully controlled by the West, near the end of the Qing dynasty.
So what Bill said, he did not find it unfamiliar.
William Murdoch glared at his younger brother, and had an apologetic smile on his face. He looked over at Li Xianyu and said, “He is a young child, and does not know about the dangers of the world. Don’t be offended.”
After I meet with the other big teams, I would kill you all first, Li Xianyu thought to himself cunningly.
There were too many people in the opposite camp, and both sides had their guards up against one another. He had two other top tier S-level people between him and Bill, and might not be able to succeed with a sudden attack.
But, with what William Murdoch said, it made Li Xianyu think of other things.
Dragon Bead Dragon Bead, just as its name, it would probably come from that dragon that escaped out from Great Deities Palace.
William Murdoch meant, that if the dragon lost the dragon bead, it would not be able to live at all. So its body was decayed. But Li Xianyu knew that, that dragon did not die.
How did the royalty of the Qing dynasty get the Dragon Bead? That dragon did not die, then in the times back in the past, why didn’t it go back to its own dragon bead?
There were rumours about how magical the Black Water Spirit Bead was. It was not something that could be brushed over.
“You knew that the eight spaces in Great Deities Palace got merged together.” William spat out this sentence without any explanation.
Li Xianyu responded, “Yeah.”
“Why do you think it happened?” It was just as if William was asking him for his opinion.
Li Xianyu thought for a moment, and gave his own guess. “If this is not a normal circumstance, then this group of people that went inside Great Deities Palace has some issues.”
He did not know when Wang Chen and his biological father went inside Great Deities Palace back then, whether the eight spaces merged together. If it was not, then it meant that in the talions that went inside the Great Deities Palace, there was a possibility of someone that had extreme knowledge of Great Deities Palace.
Great Deities Palace was such a secretive place, and not any simple person would be able to have such great familiarity with it.
It was extremely scary to think of.
“You all Chinese have this sentence, heroes have the same thoughts,” William said with a smile.
“Then do you think, that with the eight spaces merging together, what does it represent?” Li Xianyu also asked.
“I don’t know, but I think that we would have an answer very quickly. We only need to wait for it and observe what happens next,” William replied.
After chatting not too closely or distantly, Li Xianyu bid farewell and left.
William Murdoch sent Li Xianyu off with his gaze. He kept his gaze back, and sunk into deep thoughts.
“William, why didn’t you kill him?” Bill Murdoch was puzzled as he asked his older brother.
“His powers are too strong, if we kill him here, both sides would only be heavily injured.” William shook his head.
“It is because his energy is too strong, that’s why we should get rid of him first. If not, he would turn into our obstacle.” Bill wasn’t a brainless second generation heir, and he had his own opinions.
“So you think that everyone has brought so many people inside to Great Deities Palace, why did we do so?” William was irritated as he replied.
They brought this group of experts, it was to prevent any accidents from occuring. To be more accurate, it was to face off the helpers by the sides of Unparalleled War Spirit.
But to face the ten Gods of Bao Ze, this group of people was not enough. That was why they came up with the plan to target the descendant of the Li family and the Unparalleled War Spirit.
“Contact our allies first. We can’t always be working alone.” William rubbed his forehead as he spoke.
….
“You seem to have a lot of troubles inside your heart.” Cui Hua rode on its own servant, and was flying off into the wilderness. Cui Hua was always perched on other’s shoulders. The world changed right now, Cui Hua did not reject Li Xianyu, allowing him to ride for a moment.
Li Xianyu was the first guy that rode on her. At that time, this was the benefit that she gave her beloved servant.
“My head is in a mess right now.” Li Xianyu sighed out loud, and told her about Big Boss seeing a dragon at the mouth of the Yangtze River to Cui Hua.
Cui Hua understood what was going on, and was taken aback. She said, “You are saying that the historical demon did not die, and appeared some time back? Did you think that the Black Water Spirit Bead that has been passed down generations of the Li family is this thing?”
Li Xianyu nodded his head as he said, “We have to see if that is a friend or foe right now, and what is the reason of it’s sudden appearance. The moment that started off at Great Deities Palace, that brother suddenly appearing at the mouth of Yangtze. I can’t help but link all of these together.”
“It is not that I am looking down on your big bosses. If the dragon that he saw at the mouth of where the Yangtze merged into the seas was this one, then the grass on his gravestone must be three feet tall right now,” Hua Yang said.
“Eh…” Li Xianyu froze, and suddenly became bright as he said, “You seem to make a lot of sense. Maybe the dragon that the Big Boss met, might not be the one that escaped out of Great Deities Palace?”
Even though the world of Talion did not understand the historical demons, the special features of the Talion came from the historical demons. It existed just like an old ancestor and it had to be a scary animal that could move the earths and heavens in seconds. Half-Step Gokudo Path was too low.
“I might be really too sensitive. I am thinking too much about it.” Li Xianyu comforted himself.
“You are really thinking too much, and have too many tricks. It is easy for you to get tired. In the road to pursuing religious practice, it is better if you have pure, simple thoughts,” Cui Hua said coyly.
“I also do not want to feel so tired.” Li Xianyu caressed his eyebrows, and heaved out a breath.
“You have to learn from Great-Grandma. If she doesn’t fight, she would play games, and watch variety shows. Why don’t you try and watch variety shows?” Cui Hua said.
“I don’t have that kind of thing inside my phone. I don’t have signal here, I can’t go online.”
“Mine has. My phone has,” Cui Hua said immediately. “When I saw Great-Grandma watching variety shows, she would often laugh so much that she sounded like a pig. I also downloaded some.”
“Then do you think it is interesting?”
“To be honest, it is not really interesting. I don’t know what is so funny about it.”
The value of a cat was different from that of a human. It was just like Cui Hua who did not think she was beautiful, and also did not think that Li Xianyu was handsome. But she did like to see the male cats that were beautifully groomed, and complimented them. “They are such handsome brothers.”
The first person that Li Xianyu felt jealous of was actually a cat.
“That’s right, variety shows are not fun, especially reality shows, but if the planning team of the programme can be wilder and imagine more. They should break out of the rules binding them down, the future of reality shows was still very bright. It was just random chatting anyway.” Cui Hua asked casually, “Why do you say so?”
“Look, now all of the popular reality shows right now are family oriented programmes, just like “Where Are We Going, Dad?”, “Running Man”, and “Mummy, Listen to Me Speak”. They can try and film some other new shows, like “Older Sister-in-Law, Where is My Older Brother?”, “Don’t do that, Godfather”, and “Older Brother-in-Law Went Out on a Business Trip”. They would not be worried about the viewership ratings at all.” Hua Yang dropped a bomb on Li Xianyu’s head.
Li Xianyu held his head, as he gave up. “This must be this Slime that is affecting me again. This is all Slime’s fault.”
Slime was unsatisfied as he said, “It is Wang Chen’s fault.”
“Since you are so cruel, don’t blame me for being careless. Elder Hua Yang, the last time, I unintentionally saw Li Xianyu watching a film, the name is Godmother vomiting…”
Li Xianyu blocked his left hand, and said, “It is all of Wang Chen’s fault, Wang Chen is really the number one bad person on earth.”
Slime said, “You are intelligent.”
In any team, there had to be one or two people that were fooling around, and creating some fun. If not the team would turn into a pool of dead water, it was no fun at all.
Slime was the person that could not be missed out in Li Xianyu’s harem, for them to bully.
Great-Grandma bullied it, and Li Xianyu was bullying it, and there were occasionally be some long legged beauties and Cui Hua that would help Li Xianyu to bully it. And after that, the team was filled with a bright and happy energy.
If Slime did not exist, the concubines, Empress Dowager, and Her Highness The Queen would all be fighting with one another. That was not a happy atmosphere anymore, and it would be hell on Earth. This was to show how Slime’s position was so important in the harem.
Of course, it was not a concubine, but only a small eunuch.
One person, a beast, one soul, and one hand, this weird team was chatting with one another casually. They did not plot against one another, and did not have evil traps set up. They did not have grievances or a main goal in mind, this was just a casual chat without any boundaries. Li Xianyu would occasionally cooperate with Slime to talk bad about Great-Grandma. And he would also co-operate with Cui Hua to gossip about the long legged warriors.
It felt very relaxing, very casual. They really hoped that life in the future could be quiet and relaxing like this.
In the past, he only wanted to live on. Now he managed to live, he had another thought in mind, and that was to live relaxedly and happily.
He only stepped into the world of the talion for three months, but it felt as if an entire century went by. There were some things that not everyone could do, and when he looked back, he had a wrong feeling of being a white haired beauty.
They ran for three hours in the endless wilderness, and they took a picnic with Cui Hua. In the midst, after they ate, and took a rest, they started the endless walking again. After some time later, they saw a dishevelled and small team that was very hurried in their movements.
Twenty over people, they wore ripped and tattered monk robes and Buddist robes, and their entire bodies were covered with blood stains. It seemed that they were escaping for their lives, and were very hurried as they did so. It was obvious that they were in a frantic state of mind.
“Eh, it is a group of young priests and monks.” Li Xianyu was puzzled for a moment, and realized that the members of this Buddhist society were all very young.
Where was their leader?
He brought Cui Hua, ran over, and said, “Why are you all here? What happened?”
The young nun and priests that were all cold as they looked on as the large white tiger came near. They were all frightened, and stood on the spot with their guards up. When they had a clear look of Li Xianyu, the fear on their faces was slightly reduced.
A part of the young monks that came from Lianghua Temple had surprised expressions on their faces as they said, “We have finally met someone, we are finally seeing someone.”
There was one young monk that was dressed in a green robe as he stepped out. He was sobbing painfully as he said, “Devotee Li, I am begging you to save Grandfather’s younger brother, who is cutting off all desires.”
“You are all the disciples of Lianghua Temple right?” Looking at the attire that they were wearing. It was the formal robes of the Lianghua Temple disciples.
The young monk was frantic. Li Xianyu said, “What happened? Don’t be frantic, explain slowly.”
