Chapter 2743: Carrying Tang Qin Hao To Their Room

Chapter 2743: Chapter 2743: Carrying Tang Qin Hao To Their Room

There was absolutely nothing behind the house except thick, untamed woodland. Where exactly had she managed to park a vehicle?

Naturally, Tang Qin Hao had no way of knowing that Yu Qi had already safely stored their vehicle inside the spiritual dimension of Sere. After making absolutely sure no remaining guards were watching, Yu Qi entered Sere, retrieved the car, and drove it back out onto the dirt path before heading straight toward Long Hui and Tang Qin Hao.

The vehicle soon came to a smooth stop directly in front of them. Long Hui carefully opened the rear door before gently helping Tang Qin Hao into the back seat. After making sure the surgeon was seated comfortably and had enough room for his weak legs, Long Hui fastened the seatbelt securely for him.

"Do you want to drive us back?" Long Hui asked as he closed the rear door.

"No." Yu Qi shook her head, her face serious. "I need to coordinate and send a message to someone immediately. You drive."

"Alright." Long Hui nodded.

Yu Qi climbed out of the driver’s side, and Long Hui immediately took her place behind the steering wheel, shifting the car into gear. The vehicle soon left the isolated house far behind, speeding down the deserted roads back toward the city.

During the journey, Yu Qi pulled out her phone and sent an encrypted message to Neko-chan.

Q: Neko-chan, thoroughly investigate Angelica Lee’s family grid. Find out exactly which family member shares the closest relationship or alliance with her.

Only a few minutes later, her phone vibrated against her palm with a response.

Neko-chan: Alright, Master. I will compile the data and send you the full information layout as soon as I gather everything.

Yu Qi slowly narrowed her eyes, staring out the window as a dangerous, lethal chill flashed across her pupils.

’Angelica Lee...’

’Since you possessed the audacity to lay a hand on my family...’

’I will make absolutely sure you repay every single thing you’ve done to my brother with blood.’

.....

Meanwhile, across the city, Angelica Lee had absolutely no idea that Tang Qin Hao had already been successfully rescued from her trap. She still firmly believed he was securely imprisoned inside the windowless cellar of her secluded safe house, remaining under her complete and total control. She had even begun mapping out her schedule to visit his cell personally later that very night.

In her mind, the entire black operation had proceeded flawlessly without a single hitch. After all, the middle-aged man she had entrusted with the kidnapping was one of the top elite members of her family’s personal security force. He had never failed a high-stakes mission before in his career.

She could never have imagined that the exact same man was currently lying completely helplessly on the floorboards, entirely unable to move a single muscle below his neck while enduring excruciating internal pain.

Angelica Lee was equally confident that Tang Qin Hao would never be able to execute an escape on his own. She had personally ordered the extraction team to inject him with a powerful, long-lasting muscle-suppressing drug. Without the specific chemical antidote, Tang Qin Hao would not even possess the strength to stand steadily on his own two feet, let alone fight back.

Running away? That was completely, mathematically impossible. At least... that was the comfortable lie Angelica Lee still desperately chose to believe.

....

Not long afterwards, they arrived back at the very same luxury hotel they had left earlier that day. Long Hui smoothly manoeuvred the car into the hotel’s dimly lit underground parking garage. The moment the vehicle came to a complete stop, he stepped out first before carefully lifting Tang Qin Hao onto his back once again, adjusting his grip effortlessly.

Yu Qi then silently instructed Aoi through their mental bond to activate Invisible Mode on Tang Qin Hao. With the stealth ability active, no one glancing into the garage or walking past would be able to see Tang Qin Hao being carried on Long Hui’s back. To any outside observer, Long Hui would appear to be walking alone.

With their tracks masked, the three of them quietly made their way toward the heavy door of the emergency staircase.

"Why exactly aren’t we taking the elevator?" Tang Qin Hao asked in a low, confused whisper from over Long Hui’s shoulder.

"You are currently classified as a missing person. People are already actively looking for you out there. Because of that, you still can’t let yourself appear in front of the hotel staff or any potential lookouts just yet." Yu Qi explained calmly as she led the way into the concrete stairwell.

"Why is that?" Tang Qin Hao pressed, wanting to understand their strategy.

"Because you have not recovered your physical strength yet." Yu Qi continued patiently, her boots clicking softly against the steps. "Since you were forcibly taken away from that safe house, the men stationed there have most likely already reported the breach to their boss. They would naturally assume you will try to return to this hotel because your assistant is still staying here. There is a very high chance they have already arranged for spotters to keep an eye on your assistant’s room or patrol different floors of the building. So, to be safe, we absolutely need to avoid the elevators."

Of course, that explanation was only part of the truth. In reality, the men back at the safe house would never be able to recover enough to report anything to Angelica Lee. After all, the agonising paralytic poison Yu Qi had personally laced them with had already ensured they would never move their limbs normally again.

The real, underlying reason she insisted on using the isolated staircase was much simpler and far more practical.
