In their communication devices, they all got messages from Sam. The locations of their targets. Then with the tokens they are wearing, they transferred themselves to the respective locations.

One of the soldiers is running in circles. Literally.
He didn’t even stop for a single second. He just blocked the attacks and kept on running as fast as he can, to avoid the attacks.
Still it is not enough. He still got hit and this only wore his stamina out. He knew that his initial stage pretranscendent cultivation is too much. But since he had the opportunity, he just couldn’t resist.
When the despair is mounting in his heart, all of a sudden, the attacks stopped just for a moment.
Before he could feel the relief, he felt the spatial interference right in front of him. All he saw was a silhouette and a sword.
Black Meteorite sword cut through the air and his neck. The cut was so precise, his head was not completely cut off. The man fell to the ground and squirmed like a worm as blood gushed out.
As the life left his body, the shadow energy in the surroundings intensified. It creeped into him.
In front of Jack’s eyes, the shadow of the body was extracted and it disappeared with spatial transference along with Jack.
Both Jack and the shadow appeared near his next target.
Similar situations unfolded all over the bamboo forest.

She spoke out loud. She knew Sam is somehow hearing their conversation as it happened.
But there is no response.
The killing continued in the bamboo forest.
Parna had a moment of realization, which led to panic.
"SAM. PLEASE STOP THIS. I AM REQUESTING YOU. DON’T KILL THEM ANYMORE."
No response at all.
Parna looked at her subordinates being slaughtered.
After some thought, she had an idea.
"I will compensate. I will pay ransom for their lives. Please leave them alive."
Only then did the killing stop.
Over thirty peak stage transcendent cultivators were left in the bamboo forest.
*SWOOSH*
Sam appeared out of thin air, standing in between Miko and Parna. Looking down on Parna from a much higher altitude. With a cold smile on his face.
"So, how much.... Let’s not haggle too much. I still have to deal with the other two sides."
"What do you want?"
"Mines. I heard your faction’s area has some really great mines. For the next decade, I need complete rights over five different mines of my choice. You will be in charge of having it mined, under the supervision of one of my subordinates."
"That’s it?"
"Yeah, but the mining method and equipment would be provided by me. You need to use and follow them."
"I agree, let them go."
Sam didn’t answer and only gave her the contract. She signed it through gritted teeth and cursed him in a thousand ways in her mind.
He let them go. But he is not done with her yet.
"You still need to uphold the other contract. Gather your troops and await your assignment."
