The midnight.
After dealing with the apex, sending the visitors away and talking with the spirits, Sam finally established the territory completely.
Now, he was waiting for the big update.
And he sensed it the moment the day changed.

At the same time, back in the academy realm.
Ling Tian was handling the conquest of the gambler academy. With Sam and his friends gone, even Bloody Chariot disappearing, the chaos stabilized quite a bit. Some other academies did try to pick a bone with him.
However, they didn’t have much choice in the matter. Sam essentially crippled only a bunch of academies. So, the remaining academies tried to take over the territory and resources. Everyone went into a defensive mode.
People thought there would be another ban on attacks between the academy. However, it wasn’t activated at all.
And everyone focused on new recruits. They were recruiting heavily, in such large numbers that the conquest kinda destabilized.
So, Ling Tian just went back into business of taking care of academy’s affairs and directed them through the conquest.
Because of the overwhelming lead that Sam gave them, they still stayed in the lead. Surprisingly, nobody in the second grade or third grade actually went back to fight for it.
They were left alone.
The fourth grade was a no doubt domination of the gambler academy. Many of the Olympian academy didn’t even have enough fourth graders to compete.
Things were looking good, and bleak at the same time.
He was still worried over Sam.
Particularly, this whole day. He just kept thinking of Sam. By midnight, he couldn’t focus on any other stuff and called his assistant.
"I want to take a break. Just get me the results of estimated points of the seed candidates we marked. Also estimate how many points the other academies will get today.
Today is the point distribution day after all.
I need you to keep an eye on how many points we are going to get. Contact the students across realms and ask them what they need for their share of academy points that we are going to obtain.
And keep an eye on the store. All the divine inheritances, without a single exception should be acquired by us.
I have a deal to uphold with someone."
"Okay Sir."
Ling Tian left and opened a screen that showed the academy level points for the conquest.
"What have you done since you left, Sam? Are you gonna give me another surprise?"
Ling Tian muttered as he looked at the screen.
He didn’t have to wait for long before he got the answer.
The string of numbers that represented the new addition of points. The one thing that surprised him was obviously tens of millions of points that Sam got for retaining the previous territories. The multiplier effect is crazy high.
But what surprised him is the special entry that was added into the system.
A note appeared under the interface.
"An unprecedented feat has been done. A candidate in Initiation has conquered one percent of the world meant of Deans. With the usual multiplier, the candidate should get 100,000 times the territory points.
However, due the sheer disparity and the excellence behind the feat, an additional multiplier of ten has been added as a gift.
This is only applied for the candidate who achieved this feat for the first time.
Total percentage conquered by the person. 1%.
Total points gained = 1 multiplied by 90 multiplied by 100,000 multiplied by 10. 90 million."
Ling Tian watched the announcement. His hand trembled and a smirk appeared on his face. For some reason, his blood pumped and he wanted to scream at the top of his lungs.
He felt proud.
He hadn’t felt this much pride for a long time.
1 percent. Just one percent. But it was done in a place even the Deans and the Grand elders couldn’t even think of going. They didn’t even dare put their step in that world. But Sam went in and conquered one percent of land.
He snatched it from creatures that could kill him with a sneeze.
He wondered, who would dare to call him arrogant anymore.
If that guy couldn’t be arrogant... then who in existence deserves to be?
He called for his assistant again.
"Do not leave a single thing out. I need to acquire every single divine inheritance out there. We don’t have any deficit for points. Go ahead and get them."
He was decisive with his moves.
However, before he could finish his orders...the announcement of Sam’s feat was published all over the public displays set up for points.
The announcement was basically the same as the one Ling Tian got.
The system publicized it to everyone. Ling Tian’s smirk turned a bit condescending as he looked at the sky.
"You petty bastards."
He muttered to himself and told the assistant.
"Don’t care about it. Acquire the inheritances. I have a way to send them to Sam. We already planned it beforehand. You just need to get them as soon as possible, before these assholes can realize anything."
The assistant went and started purchasing.
Meanwhile, Ling Tian sat down and started meditating. Energy gathered at his chest, before it moved forward, away from him.
A few minutes later, the energy orb grew in size and started taking the shadow of a human. It’s glow didn’t subside until it completely took Ling Tian’s shape.
It was a clone.
"You go ahead and finish the job. Hand it over to him and disappear."
Ling Tian said and went back to his desk.
His clone went out, met with the attendant, and took the divine inheritances. Before anyone could notice, it already disappeared into the portal leading to Darkhan.
Meanwhile...
Sam looked at his own points and of course he got the announcement as well.
He smiled and said to himself.
"I am right. If you have to conquer, conquer the toughest place. This has always been my league. I just wasted my time in the lower levels."
As he muttered... he felt a signal from a formation pillar he arranged on the island.
He disappeared from the spot and reappeared there.
He tapped some inscriptions on the pillar and soon, Ling Tian’s clone appeared.
"I don’t have much time."
