Re-Birth of a Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2544: Judgment

Chapter 2544: Judgment

Bloody Chariot was lost in that terrified daze.

He didn’t know when he got up and came back to the cottage. Or when he finished his porridge... he stayed up the whole night thinking about what Parth had done.

That strike in particular. The one that hit him on the chest and sent him flying... surprisingly, it didn’t hurt him.

Not even a bruise was on his body. It was clean... as if the force had only intended to push him and wake him up. That faint pain that he felt at the start and almost stopped his heart was the only damage it had done.

That was even more shocking because... if Parth intended, he could have easily bypassed his flesh and bone, and hit his heart directly, without so much as using even little bit of his energy.

Not even so much as a fluctuation.

Bloody Chariot had an existential crisis.

The next day, for the whole day, he just spent in the bed looking at ceiling. He replayed the same incident again and again. But he couldn’t figure out anything, nor could he identify a method to defend against it.

Even though he didn’t try, but he felt that even if he knew that the attack was coming, and even if he was prepared with all the energy he had and turned into a shield.... The attack might just make its way through it.

Only the second day after the incident did Bloody Chariot come out. He tried his best to stick to the routine that he established. Going back to the beginner classes. But he skipped the archery class.

He didn’t dare enter it. Whenever he saw the bow, he could only think about Parth. For some reason, he felt unworthy of that weapon...

In this daze, he even forgot about his original goal. After a long time, Sam didn’t feel as significant to him.

And while he was lost like that, one of those nights, at the village center.

The five brothers were sitting together, having a meal.

They all sat on the floor, with all the dishes placed in front of them. Everyone had their plates in front of them and they ate with their hands.

Even while eating Parth still had his bow in his lap.

"Parth, what do you think about him?" Yudhi asked.

"About who, brother?"

"Our guest."

"Oh... insignificant."

Everyone froze for a moment and looked at Parth, who just continued eating.

"That’s a pretty strong word from you Parth. You never call anyone or anything insignificant."

Yudhi asked and this time his tone was a bit more serious. Because as far as he could remember, his brother was most humble of them all.

Even though he was the strongest and the bravest of them... he never ever tried to show it off. Even then if they asked him, all he would say was that he was still far from being the bravest.

So, such a strong judgment surprised them.

Parth took a deep breath and said.

"That man... for a really long time, believed that he was the strongest and unparalleled. And he might have been in the place that he was from.

And he was used to being in that place.

His plight in this world, should have been a learning experience. The moment he lost to the spirit of the sea, he should have wondered that he was not enough and that he was not actually at the top of the world.

He wasn’t looking at what he lacked and tried to learn. Instead, he still believed that he was completely capable of everything and the only reason he wasn’t able to overcome, was because he didn’t try properly.

Even when I was practicing by bow, he came and watched... he stewed in his own frustration, when he didn’t understand something.

He could have done anything else. Let it be known that he wanted to know, he could have asked, simply.

But he didn’t.

That is a sign he would never grow. He would never become what he could have become if he realized his true potential.

He is a disgrace to the divinity he attained."

The words left the remaining four surprised and at the same time melancholic.

They felt sad for the guest they were hosting. Not for a second did they think that Parth could be wrong. Parth was never wrong when it came to the matters of people and their mindsets.

Not knowing that a judgment has been passed on him, Bloody Chariot went on with the daily routine.

Hours of training per day, and the training was done every day, he was diligent and disciplined. But he wasn’t as focused as before. Whenever he trained, he could only remember how lacking he was.

He just couldn’t reconcile with the facts and he just stewed in it more and more.

Days passed like that and it was soon, almost a month passed.

In those days, Bloody Chariot didn’t gain anything.

Meanwhile...

At Sam’s camp.

"It has been a long time since we had such a productive month.

We couldn’t have this back in academy realm. There were just too many variables."

Sam muttered with a smile as he saw the results.

In the past few days, the team moved at a rapid pace. Except for the small beasts and the ones Sam told them to leave, most of the island was cleared.

He captured the beasts that he eyed and he killed the ones he didn’t. He studied the corpses, collected more blood and bone and they all ate their fill everyday.

However, throughout the whole ordeal, there was one creature that Sam was worried about.

The apex.

Despite not intervening in the island, he was worried that the imbalance in the ecosystem will trigger the apex to make a move.

But it didn’t.

However, now even if it didn’t, he is going to make it.

It is about time the apex of the island is going to be replaced.
