Chapter 1776 - 1776 Deal
Chapter 1776 - 1776 Deal
1776 Deal
Sam went back to the cave.
Maya is meditating when he got there and she opened her eyes as soon as she sensed her presence. She looked at Sam and her eyes glowed a bit.
Sam looked at her with a frown and asked.
“What are you doing?”
“I am looking into you.”
She said in a very calm tone and soon the glow disappeared. Sam didn’t feel good about the action.
“You have a Divine aura enveloping you. It is not yours. It is almost like you have been in the presence of god. Which shouldn’t be possible.”
She spoke in a confused and surprised tone. It is almost like she is lost in a maze not knowing where she should go.
Sam looked at her and he is also a bit surprised. He knew that her body is special. But even in the material provided by Gambler, there is not much info about this. Her body is so rare and so abnormal to the point, the gods themselves don’t know exactly how it is formed. At least that is what he assumed.
.....
But the fact that she could say that Sam has been in presence of gods is very shocking to him. It is something that revealed something about him without him trying to.
Sam didn’t answer that and spoke.
“Let’s talk. I made contact with Chasin.
I wasn’t able to see your kid though. I want to know more about these people before I make my next move.”
Maya was stunned. She didn’t even know what to say for a moment and the fact that her question hasn’t been answered didn’t even strike her mind for the moment.
“You came into contact with Chasin?”
Maya stood up in anxiety.
“Yes.”
“What happened? How did you get in touch with him so fast?”
She started asking questions. There is a sense of vigilance in her voice. She started having a very slight suspicion that Sam was already connected with Chasin and the whole issue. But when she remembered the message she got in her mind when she touched the envelope, it disappeared.
“I have my ways. Your blood, clothes, and hair helped a lot though. Anyway, currently, we are in a semi-contractual situation where I have a slight upper hand because he needs me more than I need him.
I already established that situation. So, if you give me more information about him, it will help me a lot.”
“I don’t really know that much about them. I came to this realm as a pilgrimage after the disappearance of my parents.”
“Disappearance?”
“They went to explore a completely new realm and never returned back.”
“A new realm?”
“Yes, a new realm’s spatial wormhole has been connected to our realm. The realm is closed from the rest of the world and the civilizations inside are in contact with only the other civilizations within that realm. They had no outer contact.
But after some time, the wormhole has been closed. They never came back.”
Sam became curious about this. He already came across one of the closed realms once. The place where he learned the weaving.
But he didn’t have time to explore this line of inquiry.
“Anyway, even if you have come here on a pilgrimage, you should have been in contact with these people even though you were forced. No matter how small the detail is, let me know.”
‘The most information you could get from me, is their daily routine, eating habits, and some information on their temper. Mostly personal information of the men that raped me to conceive. I won’t know much about the organizational information.
I can tell you all I know. But I don’t think it would be useful.”
Sam couldn’t help but chuckle at the information.
“Oh, you don’t know what that information could be used for. Just tell me all you know. In fact, we can take one person at a time. Focus all you can and give me all the information you have on Chasin.
From his appearance to his sleeping habits, I would want to know. Don’t leave out any detail.”
Maya went silent for a minute and spoke.
“Chasin is the most talented kid in their organization. At least that is what I heard. But he didn’t have enough influence or support, because his father is dead. Even to use me, he had to compete with all kinds of political ploys and crush the rest of his peers in his generation with overwhelming strength.
It seems like when it came to me, the clan’s ancestor came out of his seclusion and held the competition in which Chasin succeeded.
And I learned all of it because he constantly rambled about this. He whines a lot and he constantly thinks that life is unfair to him.
He is ambitious and he has a lot of strength, but he doesn’t have the intelligence. He has too many people that he recruited that do the bidding for him.
He wears a very special kinds of clothes extracted from special silk and he eats a lot. Even when it is not needed, he craves delicacies.
That is all I know about him.”
Sam heard everything and nodded.
“That is a lot and I am sure it is very useful. Where do you think the kid is at this point?”
“I don’t know. But if I have to guess, the child might be in their clan headquarters.”
“So, he tried to keep you alive. Why is that?”
“I don’t know that either. But I am assuming for physical pleasure.”
Sam nodded and waited for a moment before asking.
“How is your battle prowess?”
Maya didn’t know how to answer that. After some thought she replied.
“My cultivation level is decent, which you already know, but among my peers, I don’t think I will fare that well. I can take care of a large margin of my peers, but if a skilled person makes a move, it will be very difficult for me to deal with them.”
“So, your constitution doesn’t have any special advantages in battle?”
“I don’t know if it counts, but I can actually wield multiple elements. My core doesn’t have a single significant affinity to elements. Instead, it is almost like I can communicate with different elemental energies in nature to fight for me.”
“You can control multiple elements?”
This is another surprise to Sam. He closed his eyes and thought of something. If she could do that, then that means, her body is not exactly normal. Her body is definitely not part of any constitutions that he knows of.
“Can you show me an example? I want to see how good your ability is.”
“Yes, but it is not actually a great ability for a long battle. It drains too much of my energy.”
As she spoke, she closed her eyes. Energy surged and a dark red flame appeared all around her. Followed by a large earthen wall that appeared behind her.
Sam is looking at it with his energy vision and he could see what is happening.
As she said, he cannot see her spiritual energy transforming into these attacks. These attacks are actually forming out of thin air from the energy of the environment itself.
This is much more effortless than Sam’s newfound technique using energy resonance, but there is one thing Sam observed. Her energy is being consumed even though it is not directly related to the attacks.
Instead, it is being consumed by her body itself. It is almost like it is burning and he could sense that her soul is reacting to that energy. It is almost like the soul is taking the energy as fuel and is commanding the nature
This is certainly not possible for Sam to do. He can barely let his soul and mental energy connect with the environment and make it resonate the way he wants.
Many theories started formulating in his head.
At this moment, Sam suddenly sensed something.
Lucifer’s statue glowed at the moment and the time seemed to have stopped.
“Hello Sam, how are you doing? I hope you liked the task I gave you.”
“It hasn’t even been an hour since I started the task. Why are you asking me this? What do you want?”
Sam asked in annoyance.
Lucifer chuckled and said.
“It seems like you are interested in knowing more about her body, so I came here to give a deal.”
“A deal?”
“Yes, don’t you know? Granting favors and wishes is actually my thing. I like doing that for people.
So, I have a deal for you. Bring one of the children by tomorrow and I will let you know what is so special about her body. Do you want to take this deal?”
Sam thought for a moment and said.
“Sure. Why not?”
“Good. See you tomorrow then.”
Lucifer disappeared from the spot and time resumed.
“I will take my leave. You take rest and recover.”
Sam said to Maya and left.
