Chapter 985: Hotspring [ 3 ]
“Hmm…” Gaia stared into his eyes, feeling something she couldn’t exactly explain.
She had a very good grasp of Rael. What he liked, what he hated, and what kind of person he was when it came to dealing with situations.
But in the span of the few dozen years they had known each other, Gaia had always gotten the impression that he was just being lustful and not genuine. Someone who would leave the moment he got what he wanted.
Her body, her mind, and lastly, her heart. That was what most men wanted in relationships, and yet, as he stood in front of her naked self, all he could look at were her eyes.
Not a single trace of lust… Even as she checked his mind, the only thing she could find in it were honest thoughts, which made her a little startled.
He knew that she could read his mind, so why wasn’t he even trying to hide his thoughts? Was he trying to manipulate her? No… He was too stupid to actually try something so dark. That could only mean one thing, and one thing only.
He was genuine.
“I see…” Gaia mumbled, lowering her gaze slightly. He was very powerful, yet his hands were so slim. Veiny too.
“Rael, if I were to one day try to push you away, what would you do?”
He pondered over it for a moment, then shrugged. “I would obviously stick beside you and cling as much as I need to. Isn’t that what a proper pursuer would do? Or would you rather I stalk you even after you push me away?”
She narrowed her eyes. “I’d rather not be stalked. Also, don’t enter my mind without permission again.”
But Rael wasn’t discouraged by her coldness. “So you’d much rather I just stick beside you, huh? Good. Really good. Don’t expect me to go anywhere then. Oh, and sorry about the mind stuff. I didn’t really go into your mind. I just made it up.”
“…” Gaia facepalmed inwardly. “Are you joking?”
“Can’t you see my memories?” Rael rolled his eyes. “You’re more naive than you let on, huh? Anyways, stop being a dumbass. I’m going to stay with you even if you try to push me away. On that note, I also won’t force anything on you, so take affection at your own pace.”
He glanced around. “Even this seems a little uncharacteristic. What? Were you curious? Curious after seeing me do it with my wives? I doubt it. I bet you were just trying to see if I would pull something on you after seeing your body. What? Do you want me to pin you down and ravish you like I did with my wives?”
Before she could even open her mouth, Rael added:
“No, I don’t think you do. You’re curious, but you’re also very proud. You would never let someone degrade you, and even when you watched, it was pure curiosity, with no lust or any feelings attached… Honestly, Gaia. Be more true to yourself. It’s a nice trait. But pushing me away is a bit rude, so don’t do that.”
With that, he went ahead and tapped her shoulders, and after giving her a warm smile, Rael stepped past her and climbed out of the hot springs. Since he was without a towel, everything was in clear view.
Yet she was too stunned by his words just now to notice. So he didn’t linger on it too long as he went ahead and entered the changing room. With his human-like body, he realized that his diet was so shit that he would be having constant diarrhea or constipation if he continued eating like this.
So for his own sake, Rael decided to abandon his humanity and once again got rid of his organs. After that, he got dressed, and then just patiently waited, and waited…
Eventually, Gaia stepped out of the hot springs too, and without even bothering to cover herself, she walked past him, her eyes as blank as her mind currently was.
Rael chuckled at the sight and watched with a smile as she got dressed, putting on her clothes in the wrong order, and in general, acting a little awkward. But even then, she managed to get everything right in the end.
And of course, that was where their little hot springs date ended. With Rael’s confession, and Gaia’s confusion. It seemed like despite what her memories once told her, they would not be having sex today.
So the two of them opened a portal and soon returned to the mansion. As it so happened, Nyx was around, while the others were gone. Not to mention, she was in the living room, coincidentally where the two of them had reappeared.
Seeing how the two of them were both a little wet and not talking much, Nyx’s eyes widened as she ran up to Rael and stared at him in the eyes.
“Did you two bang?”
“What do you think?” Rael asked plainly.
She looked both of them up and down, then took a few deep breaths before coming to her conclusion:
“Looks like you didn’t. Welp, there’s always a time for that. On another note, I found something interesting,” Nyx said and then took out a condom, surprising Rael slightly.
But he was left even more surprised by how it looked like the same condom brand that he had given to Renoir.
Not to mention…
“Some weirdo went ahead and poked holes in every single condom in existence, I think. Heh, just look at this. I bought like five of them, and every single one had holes in them. If you’re doing it with your wife, be careful. Though, actually, don’t be careful. Become a dad already.”
Ah.
Rael once again felt like he might have a bit of a difficult future. After all… If Renoir wasn’t careful, then there might be a mini Renoir running around very, very soon.
But it’s fine. Rael knew how to divert his attention from the ripped condom to something else.
And that was by calling his actual sister, Melissa.
After all, it was about time the two of them made up.
