Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 949 949: Just a Kid?

The two of them stood in the very center of the mountain, and as expected, a large crowd had gathered by now.

Naturally, neither of them really gave much of a shit about the fight, especially the man wearing that cringy set of armor. After all, while he did talk about honor and everything, he wasn’t that naive.

He already knew who Rael was from the beginning. All he wanted to do was test what such a being had to offer outside of information. After all, if he was weak, and their enemies caught wind of his existence, he would be the first one to die in a crisis.

And at the rate the universe was progressing, he was positive there would soon be a massive battle that would ensue.

Nonetheless, Rael was none the wiser. He just entered a random fighting stance, and without grabbing a weapon, he was the first to kick off and begin the battle.

His speed was formidable, and his Laws, even more so. However, he wasn’t allowed to use his Laws, since Rael was sure that if he were to use even a fraction of them, he might accidentally create a hole in the Abyss.

If he were to do that, then he would most likely get hunted and killed by all sides. That was a very big no-no.

But even then, as Rael moved fiercely and dodged everything, occasionally using his Parry ability too, he was surprised to see that despite this armored man being powerful, he wasn’t all that proficient in combat.

Sure, he blocked and dodged everything, but there were so many wasted movements. Rael felt like if he were to actually try his ass off and use a bit of his Laws to enhance himself, he might be able to beat this guy in an actual fight.

Though, Rael didn’t let his ego get ahead of him, as he continued taking this fight seriously. Yet the result of their clash was not minimal in the slightest, as with a single clash, a fierce gust of wind shot out, traveling to the temple.

If not for Gaia and Nyx stepping in, the temple might’ve been destroyed. Regardless of that, the fight wasn’t as eventful as Rael was expecting. Even while he wanted to throw the fight and lose on purpose, there wasn’t much of an incentive to lose to someone so weak.

So while the armored man was in the midst of blocking his attack, Rael decided to up the ante a little, as he went ahead and increased the power of his punch at the last moment, breaking through the man’s armor and sending him flying toward the temple.

The punch was so powerful and fast that Gaia just barely managed to catch the armored man before he collided with the temple. The man was surprised by the attack, to the point that he ignored Gaia’s help and kicked off the air, arriving before Rael.

Obviously, his short temper was greatly affected, so he abandoned his promise of not using much power. Though, despite him being powerful and all, Rael didn’t really feel the need to call him out on it, since with Future Sight and the Prophetic Realm, plus Parry and many other abilities, Rael was near invincible.

And as expected, the man wasn’t able to land a single hit on Rael, whereas Rael managed to land several. It was becoming a bit embarrassing, as even the people who watched this fight from the side felt it was a bit stupid.

How could their Ambassador lose like this?

Well, they weren’t able to get an answer to their questions, as before they knew it, Rael suddenly raised his hand and let out a sigh before saying:

“I forfeit. I think I sprained my ankle.”

“…”

“…”

The armored man stopped dead in his tracks. A little bit of his mask fell apart, revealing a relatively young face. Just then, Rael realized that not only did he beat the shit out of this Ambassador, but it turned out this Ambassador was a child.

Were there galactic laws for child abuse? Was he about to get sued by the Concepts?

Rael’s mind whirred in a silly manner when, all of a sudden, the child let out a chuckle.

“I appreciate you fighting me. It was a great opportunity for me to learn how mortals fight, as I don’t have much of a fighting role outside of this realm.”

Rael raised a brow. “You’re just a kid, though. Why are you wearing some silly armor to begin with? Don’t you want to just go ahead and play with toys or something?”

“I’m afraid my role is to always watch over the realms and make sure there’s balance. Despite my age, I can’t really slack off. My name’s Marcus, by the way.”

“I’m Rael,” Rael introduced himself, and then apologized. “Sorry about beating the shit out of you. You’re just a kid.”

“Hmm? I am young, but I am not a kid. I’m 294,285 years old this September.”

Oof.

Welp.

“You should change your appearance then. Anyways, glad you enjoyed the fight. Now stop stalking us and let us eat, will you?”

With that, Rael flew over to Gaia and Nyx, both of whom were just staring at him with a sigh. Clearly, they didn’t give much of a shit who he beat up, since this guy deserved it.

So in the end, they just made their way back into the restaurant and began eating once more. It was just that, after the fight, there was a lot more attention centered toward them. In fact, most of these beings here tried to sneak in any excuse they could find just to approach them.

And by default, whoever ran this restaurant was now rich, since there were tens of beings gathered around, eating to their hearts’ content.

Though once Rael and the others finished eating, they decided to do some exploration. Specifically, Rael really wanted to check out what kind of world existed below all these mountains.
