Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 885 - 885: More People

After nearly an hour, Rael and the others finished eating and looking around the floor. Despite everything that had been happening, these people really did manage to make some nice ecosystem here.

He was very intrigued by some of their methods, but then again, his inner chunnibyou self had a lot more imagination. With that much imagination, all he needed to do was command his constructs to build things.

Hence, that super city formed.

Heh…

Anyhow, Rael glanced behind and spotted Renoir slowly approaching alongside his wife. They seemed to have made up, and now they were just holding hands lovingly.

Rael was happy for them.

“Sup. We’re ready to leave,” Renoir said plainly.

Rael smiled. “Good. We’ll be leaving soon then.”

He turned toward Eris and added:

“Is there anyone else you want us to fetch out of the tower before we leave? I know you’re close to Reyna or something.”

She pondered over it for a moment, then shrugged. “I’m not sure… Reyna’s a very big mystery to me. I think she enjoys the quiet life here, but I could try asking her if you take me down to the 75th floor.”

Rael turned to Gaia, and she just shrugged. It seemed like it was very doable, and for that reason alone, she didn’t hesitate to just walk up to Eris and then teleport away with her.

Gaia was very capable. He liked her because of that. It felt like he could always entrust everything to her… which also kind of made him feel helpless.

It was as if he was just relying on her way too much… It wasn’t a very attractive trait. Rael needed to give her a reason to like him as well. But how could he be more capable than her? It was hard, and he felt like asking his wives how to court another woman was just asking to be beaten.

Right on cue, Gaia, Eris, and even Reyna came back. Reyna, out of them all, seemed a little disoriented, but mainly because she had been here for so long.

And now, to see herself on the 495th floor, a floor she didn’t believe she could ever reach, it was very eye-opening. When she saw the others, she couldn’t help but gulp.

She was the weakest person here, and she could obviously feel that. It didn’t help the fact that all of the women present stared at her as though she was competition. She wasn’t really. She didn’t even like Rael.

Though, the women didn’t see it that way.

“We managed to convince her,” Gaia said with a sigh. “Though she didn’t need much convincing, as the moment I said that we’d be leaving, she jumped on the wagon and followed us.”

Right…

“So then, can we finally go?” Rael asked.

Gaia nodded. “We are indeed ready to leave at a moment’s notice.”

With that, Gaia turned toward the statue, and then back to each of them.

“We’re going to try going to that floor at the same time. So basically, what you need to do is approach that statue and blast it with killing intent. It will allow you to jump straight to the 500th floor.”

She could give a demonstration, but then again, no one here was stupid.

So with that in mind, Rael and the others finally set out to do this. Except first, Rael gave a kiss to both Zafira and Lilith, since he never knew just what could happen.

Then, Rael went ahead and approached the statue, infused it with killing intent, and watched as everything else faded from his vision.

And of course, he didn’t hesitate to go ahead and shatter the statue, immediately launching himself to the 500th floor. When he reappeared, he was half-expecting to see a bunch of guards waiting for him patiently, as if wanting to prevent any other intruder from getting in and messing with this floor.

But surprisingly enough, there was nobody. The guards that had been guarding the fountain earlier were also gone. It was strange how that was the case, but then again, when Zafira, Lilith, and the others began reappearing one by one, Rael knew that this floor was still the same as ever.

Though once they reappeared, they didn’t exchange any pleasantries, as instead, the first thing Rael did was focus above. At the very peak of this floor, in one of the floating magic towers, there was the portal that would lead them back home.

He wanted to take that portal, and more importantly, he wanted to take it in unison. After all, since the time difference was so massive here, Rael didn’t want to wait a few days for his wives to come through, since that would give him quite a bit of anxiety.

Regardless of that, Rael glanced up, and after giving the others a quick thumbs up, Rael created a giant spatial crack that led the others directly to the top. Since he already knew where he needed to go, after literally absorbing the memories of someone who had died mere weeks ago, Rael reappeared atop the magic tower where the way back home was.

The sky was vast, and with only a few clouds in sight, Rael thought that it would just be that easy. He would break into the magic tower under his feet, and then return home.

However, when he broke off the rooftop of the magic tower and jumped inside with the rest of the women and Renoir, the first person they saw was some kind of bald wizard sitting in his chair and guarding the portal leading back home.

The inside of the magic tower was a bit larger than he had expected to begin with, likely influenced by some form of spatial magic. But to top it all off, the man who was sitting in front of them was even more of a threat, as Rael couldn’t feel the extent of his mana.

But instead of straight up attacking, the man just glanced at them and spoke.
