Chapter 858: Captain Obvious
Capítulo 858: Captain Obvious
Once they stepped into the inn, the man who had previously given out the notes and all other stuff returned to his leisurely expression.
“What can I get you to eat?”
“Your finest burger, kind sir,” Renoir said.
Rael rolled his eyes and stepped up.
“Give us information on the highest floor someone has gotten to. I can pay pretty heavily if that’s what you need.”
The man stared at Rael for a few moments, then sighed.
“Is this your first time reaching the 100th floor?”
All three of them nodded, and so the man said:
“In that case, I need you to complete some missions for me. Once you’re done with those missions, you prestige and then make your way up here for whatever piece of information you want. In short, I don’t want your money, I only need stuff to be done. So what do you say, you three?”
“I say give me my damn lunch,” Renoir replied with a scowl.
Hearing that, the man just sighed. “I’ll get you some eggs and bacon. It’s still morning, so I don’t serve lunch.”
“That’s good enough for me,” Renoir assured.
Then, the man glanced over to Nyx and Rael, as if waiting for their answer.
Obviously, Rael had no plans to prestige just yet, and for one… He knew that everything could be bought with money.
“Do you need a new water filtration system? Maybe an infinite water bucket? No… What about a chicken wing you can eat forever?”
By now, Rael had unlocked some random bullshit, and by default, he could buy it whenever he wanted.
But then again…
“Unless you can give me the details of what lies on the 200th floor, then I’m not that guy. Now if you don’t want to accept what I’m offering, then the two of you can kindly fuck off. As for this man here, I’ll serve you some food right away.”
With that, the innkeeper backed off into the kitchen. As for Renoir, he hummed to himself happily and sat down.
On the other hand, Rael and Nyx just exchanged a glance before rolling their eyes at each other.
“It seems like you overlooked a very crucial fact,” she said.
Rael clicked his tongue. “You didn’t think about it either. That’s why we came here in the first place, didn’t we?”
She ignored his snarky comment, and just tapped him on the shoulder.
“Check out that menu now.”
He nodded at her, and with that, he opened one menu in particular. And as expected, the things he was looking for were there.

“It actually works…” Rael muttered. “But it looks like I can only see as high as the floor I have reached.”
He decided to make sure whether or not that was the truth, and after just a few minutes, he nodded.
“Yep, I can’t see any floor 101 clears. Though on the flipside, if someone died on floor 100 or under, I can see them. That means even if they prestiged, I’d be able to see their memories. It’s just that… I can’t find any.”
Seeing him scroll away, Nyx coughed and said:
“Why don’t you try imagining some filters into that stupid system of yours?”
Rael raised a brow. “You want me to create an option out of nothing?”
She shrugged. “You can filter some stuff like names and locations, can’t you? Just make it so you can filter prestiges.”
Well…
It didn’t hurt to try.
But since he didn’t know how to even go about it, Rael just closed his eyes and immediately entered his Mind Realm. Despite Gaia not being there, the plants and everything else was stable and good looking. Even the further part with the finished torture chamber was done.
Well… Calling the Halls of Infinity a torture chamber might be a little too much, but either way, Rael decided to tinker with the interface there, since the Mind Realm was the only place he could use his mana freely. After all, the safe zone limited him.
“Let’s see… Option appear… do something…”
Basically, for the next couple of hours, Rael just continued doing random shit until it worked. As it so happens, just eight hours later, after he said the magic words “Please,” he felt a big chunk of his mana be consumed. In the next instant, the interface flickered, and soon enough, a new option appeared.
Prestiges: –
Highest Floor Climbed: –
Hehe.
With that option now existing, Rael quickly went ahead and left the Mind Realm, reappearing beside Nyx soon after. For some reason, she kept tapping her foot on the ground, as though she was impatient.
Rael wanted to tease her, but instead, he decided to put that filter to good use.
And good use he did… Since once he put the Highest to Lowest option, the very first person that popped up was someone Rael had no idea could even die.
