Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 811: Meeting Up With Alune

Capítulo 811: Meeting Up With Alune

The moment Gaia nodded back at Rael, he didn’t hesitate to snap his fingers and open a portal directly to the Depths.

And as the two of them stepped inside, Rael was immediately met with a voice in his head. It wasn’t Gaia, but instead, it was Alune.

[What are you doing here?] Alune chimed in. [Didn’t I tell you I’ll invite you when it’s time to go to the Far Lands? It’s not even that far away. Only a couple more weeks or so.]

Rael let out a sigh.

I was going to wait, but I don’t really have the time now. If you want, you can come along. I haven’t seen you in a while, after all.

She paused for a moment, then said:

[My father’s going to be very angry.]

So what?

At the moment, Rael was fairly powerful. Obviously, he wasn’t arrogant enough to believe that he could just defeat someone like that, but if it came down to it, he was 100% sure he would put up a good enough fight to at least mortally wound him.

Though, that was obviously not the plan.

Either way, Rael glanced around. He was currently in the Hollow Kingdom. Rather, a few dozen kilometers above it. The moon was as massive as he remembered, and although Rael kind of hoped the moon would give him some form of brain damage so he could get stronger, that was sadly not the case.

After all, he had the Premium Roulette perk. Even though he hadn’t checked it in a while, every day he got a new resistance to something, and by now, the only thing that could probably topple him was a common cold.

Maybe.

[Hold on…]

Just then, Rael saw a portal appear in front of him. A moment later, Alune stepped through, wearing some basic jeans and a loose hoodie with a cat symbol in the very center.

She was particularly relaxed. That was even more true when he glanced down and realized she was wearing plain slippers.

Still, with her long blue hair tied in a bun and a pair of glasses over her crimson eyes, she seemed ready.

“Didn’t know women liked to show themselves this way.”

Alune rubbed the back of her neck, then shook her head.

“I’m sick, so I don’t really care.”

Ah.

So even someone like her could get sick.

Well, this Alune was a bit more social than the shy Alune he had met a bit ago. If anything, she seemed much more attractive this way.

Though, he put those thoughts aside and nodded at her.

“In that case, I’m going to open a portal to the spot where I first entered the Far Lands. Stick really close to me.”

With those words, Rael went ahead and formed the portal. It was directed right at the edge of the Depths, and so, when they arrived at the location, Rael glanced off into the distance.

Currently, he couldn’t see anything. However, with only a single thought, he sped up considerably, entering that familiar dark realm of light speed.

Yet for some reason, despite the surroundings seeming familiar, he couldn’t find the entrance to the Far Lands. He recalled it being right in the open, and with it being so clear and easy to enter, he was a little puzzled as to why he couldn’t see it now.

And while he was in the midst of his confusion, he suddenly felt someone tap on his shoulder. Turning around, he spotted Alune, and the fact that her eyes were even more crimson than usual.

He stopped moving, and once he returned to the Depths, Alune said:

“You’re doing it all wrong. There’s a reason why most beings can’t enter the Far Lands. Think back to when you first entered it.”

Rael tilted his head slightly.

Think back?

He moved at light speed, and he saw it.

That was it on the surface.

Yet as he glanced over at Gaia, he realized that she had already figured it out. Since he didn’t want to be a complete idiot, he focused his mind power on it and quickly came up with a theory.

“Is the entrance only available at a certain speed?” Rael pondered. “Going fast, I wasn’t able to see it. But going just slightly fast, I was able to.”

When he entered it last time, he was moving around 27 times the speed of light. Or maybe a little more.

By that logic, that margin should be very small. Somewhere in the 50–100 light speed group. If that was the case, then any being above Grade 4 wouldn’t be able to enter, since their movement speed already far surpassed something like this.

Clearly, he was on the right track as Alune kept quiet and merely stepped back.

With that in mind, he decided to try it again, except now, he limited his speed to roughly 40 times the speed of light.

And just as he had expected, the surroundings differed considerably, to the point where Rael felt like a whole different wavelength of mana was enveloping him. Soon enough, the mana shifted and revealed the Far Lands that he had seen way back when.

Of course, since Gaia and Alune already knew how to enter, the two of them were already waiting for him beyond the Depths.

So with one more push of his mana, Rael also broke through the barrier that kept him away from the Far Lands, entering it.

For a moment, his ears buzzed uncontrollably. In fact, Rael thought that his mind was being fried in real time. However, he adjusted to the weird sensation very quickly, and the moment he did, he realized that this whole realm smelled like gunpowder.

Rael had a very reckless idea to use fire magic and see if he could blow the whole realm up, but seeing the look on Gaia’s face that showed she knew exactly what he was thinking, he decided against it.

Anyhow… seeing several cities in the distance and the absence of a giant moon, Rael knew that he had finally entered the Far Lands.
