Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 790: The Barbarian Beach

Chapter 790: The Barbarian Beach

It didn’t take long at all for Rael to reach the Barbarian Lands.

However, right off the bat, the lands seemed a little different.

He could’ve sworn there were a bunch more trees and mountains scattered around. Now, instead of the mountains, there were some weird, yet oddly good-looking resorts.

Those resorts looked both modern and very damn expensive. To Rael’s surprise, he even saw a few players running around and exploring the mountains. Some fell like idiots, but that’s beside the point.

The point was that the previously unplayable area that was the Barbarian Lands was now playable.

And of course, Rael felt like he had himself to thank for such a change happening in the first place.

Ignoring the housing of the players, Rael looked deeper into how the barbarians themselves lived.

And honestly? He wasn’t really surprised that their living quarters were still the same. Tents, mini hay houses, and more. In the end though, Rael realized that each of these little huts had that same extra space he remembered giving to Nyzzara.

Clearly, she made good use of it and even kept up with her tradition.

Speaking of…

Nyzzara Vorrakai. It’s been a while since I last saw her. So where is she…

Rael closed his eyes and focused on the whole continent. It only took him a single moment to find who he was looking for, and for some reason, Nyzzara was on the edge of the Barbarian Lands.

If anything, they had a small beach there, and judging based on what he recalled, that was exactly where she was at the moment.

A beach break for a ruler, huh?

Not too shabby.

Rael took one step forward and crossed the distance in the blink of an eye. When he reappeared on the beach, Rael spotted hundreds of barbarians scattered all throughout the beach, who were diving and playing around in the ocean.

They even had a few games set up by the side, namely beach volleyball.

Everyone looked pretty much the same. It seemed like their fashion choices weren’t that good, or maybe they didn’t have that many choices to begin with.

…Was what Rael would say if they didn’t have access to his Dimensional Shop.

In the end, they just chose to wear rags around their privates. Even Nyzzara, who was currently lazing around in the ocean, was wearing something simple.

Though, could she not swim?

Or was she just on a floater to get a tan?

Either way, Rael decided not to interrupt her fun, and instead, he just took off his clothes and, after putting a towel over the sand, laid down.

It was a particularly warm day today.

Strange, considering it wasn’t even summer yet.

Still, Rael smiled to himself and, after crossing his legs, decided to get some shut-eye. A tan would be nice while he was at it too.

Though, before he knew it, Rael drifted off to sleep, completely unaware of the barbarian kids who thought he was some kind of Greek statue, and so they began to doodle all over him, even giving him a nice moustache.

Rael awoke to ten people standing around him, some drawing him while others…

“Kyaaa! He’s alive!”

Several barbarians jumped up in fright, and the women closed their eyes. Of course, only partially, as they still continued to lecherously stare.

Yet amongst these lecherous women that he had never even seen before in his life was Nyzzara, who stood behind him with her arms crossed.

And when the barbarians felt the tension, they soon scattered, leaving only Nyzzara and Rael here.

Rael didn’t bother to stand up as he got even more comfortable on the towel before saying:

“Been a while, hasn’t it?”

“It indeed has. Why haven’t you visited in so long? I thought you went out of your way to help us barbarians, not abandon us after giving something to us,” Nyzzara replied.

Rael let out a sigh.

“I believe in self-sufficiency more than anything else. But on a real note, the reason I couldn’t visit you was because I was stuck in the mind of a really powerful being, trying to steer her away from killing all of us.”

“Is that right?”

Nyzzara sat down beside him.

“Considering the things you’ve done before, I kind of believe it. But then again, why the visit? I feel like I’m one of the last people you’d visit, especially since I’m still so weak.”

Weak?

Well…

She was still only Grade 1. On the higher end, sure, but she was indeed very weak in comparison to the rest of the gang.

Though he didn’t really care much about her strength, as she was one of the people who had supported him in the past.

That alone was enough to consider her as a friend.

“Nyzzara, would you like to come over for dinner sometime?”

“Dinner? I suppose that depends. Are you inviting me just to talk, or is there something else you want?” she asked.

Rael raised his brow at those words.

“Just dinner. I’d like to catch up whenever you’re free.”

Although it didn’t seem like Nyzzara believed him, she just shrugged and then nodded at him.

“We can always catch up right now. You did go out of your way to come to my beach, after all.”

At her words, Rael paused for a moment.

He always remembered her as quite assertive, so he might as well.

“Volleyball?”

“Nope. I’m bad at it. How about we just go for a swim?”

“Mm… Sure. I haven’t swum in a while.”

Rael finally stood up, and so did Nyzzara.

Only then did he notice that the height difference between them was around a head.

And she was already tall, since she was a barbarian.

“How did you get so tall?”

“Genetics.”

Nyzzara scoffed.

“Genetics my ass.”

He just shrugged at her words and got into the water. It was surprisingly cold, but with how clear the water was, Rael felt incredibly relaxed.

I wonder how long this peace is going to last though?
