Chapter 730: Teeny Tiny Power-Up
Chapter 730: Teeny Tiny Power-Up
Just as Rael was about to open the Neural Core interface, he remembered something.
<(Special) Option to add the Dragon Grade to your Neural Core – Grade Undefined>
Hmm… I don’t really get how this works. It would become Dragon Grade, but I half-expected it to be similar to Ascension Grades.
Like Grade 1… 2.
Well, it seemed like he was wrong, but now that he was here and he had nearly a day to do whatever he wanted, Rael didn’t hesitate to go through with this.
<Ding!>
<Are you sure you want to apply the [Dragon] Grade to your Neural Core? Yes / No><Notice: The process is irreversible.>
Irreversible, huh?
Anyways…
Rael pressed “Yes” without wasting a single moment, and just then, he felt like a needle had just burst through his forehead and embedded itself into his brain.
It was surprisingly painful, and for a moment, Rael felt as though he was literally being lobotomized for the sake of more power.
But since he was a big boy now, he simply crossed his legs and endured the pain for what felt like several minutes, until finally, the pain passed.
He felt like nothing much had changed.
Honestly… It felt like he had just gone through all that pain for nothing.
But maybe that was just because he was rusty with his Mind abilities?
Regardless of that, Rael rubbed the back of his neck and proceeded to open up the Neural Core interface.
Although he wasn’t expecting much… the damage increase was a little…
Overpowered.
<Neural Core – Dragon Grade><Progress to next core: 3% / 100%>
<Purity: 500%>
<Rank: Supreme+++>
—Effects:
Distributed Mana Flow: Instead of a single pool of mana, power travels along 1,185,290 threads, reducing mana cost and increasing ability sustainability exponentially.
Threaded Mind: Thought speed and reflexes increased by x50 → x5,926,450.
Dual Horn-Brain Resonance: Fear-based abilities and Mental Damage amplify each other exponentially.
Linked Casting: Skills and abilities may be channeled through multiple strands at once, overlapping their effects. Skill power increases by +1,000% → 10,000% for each strand utilized during skill casting, up to a maximum of +11,852,900,000% (Current).
Evolving Darkness (Special): Your Neural Core was forged with the essence of the strongest shadow. Unlike standard cores, it has no fixed structure or limit. Each new thread can be forcibly created by feeding the web with resources (Mana, MTP, Dragon Force, DTP, Trell, Platinum Coins, Premium Coins…)
Current Threads: 1,185,290 / ∞
He didn’t remember creating these mana threads.
However, Rael also very quickly realized that just by having a thought, one thread would form.
It seemed like alongside a bunch of stat buffs, this was the real effect of the Dragon Grade.
Though, the stat buffs were definitely nothing to scoff at, as Rael was sure he could deal a bunch of damage now with his mental abilities.
But until then, Rael simply closed the interface, took a few deep breaths, and lastly, glanced at one thing in particular.
Race: The Ruler of the Cosmos (Supreme), Angel of the First Principle (Ascended), Fate Dragon (Celestial) [+]
Coincidentally, after not doing much and killing a few powerful people in the last couple of days, Rael’s money had gone up a fine deal.
•—Balance: 9,887,074,102 Premium Coins—•
And because of that…
<Ding!>
<Would you like to merge The Ruler of the Cosmos (Supreme) and Angel of the First Principle (Ascended)? Yes / No>
<Cost: 5,000,000,000 Premium Coins>
<Ding!>
<Notice: Combining such races will yield unprecedented effects. Since the races cannot produce a natural race merge, a new race will be created.>
Obviously, Rael had a feeling this would be the case.
But even so, he took a deep breath and pressed “Yes,” immediately beginning the race fusion.
Yet the pain that shot through his body was nothing short of excruciating.
It was as if his skin was being ripped apart, repaired, and ripped apart again.
Rael was genuinely surprised the universe kept finding ways to make him feel pain, especially when he was immortal, took 90% less damage, and even had hundreds of immunities because of Premium Roulette.
Either way, he endured the pain as per usual, until eventually, the pain passed.
He reopened his eyes, and sadly, the galaxies floating above his head were gone.
It also seemed like he couldn’t get his angel wings out, but clearly, they were also gone.
Rael was more sad about the floating galaxies though, since that was a really cool accessory.
Even so, he felt a little strange.
And only when he realized he didn’t have a heartbeat did Rael finally panic a little.
“Shit…”
Taking a closer look, Rael saw that he no longer had organs, and his body was just a whole bundle of mana.
He didn’t feel hungry, tired, or lecherous.
Maybe a little.
Okay.
He still felt hungry, tired, and everything else, so it seemed like this mana didn’t exactly make him some weird ass being, but it did make it so he had no more vitals.
But there was one fear he had of something like this, and it was one of the reasons he didn’t go for races that had mana for bodies.
What if someone just used anti mana?
Rather, what if someone had a special ability to cut through and delete mana?
At that point, Rael’s regeneration wouldn’t even work.
Even now, it felt weird triggering regeneration, as instead of pulsing his heart faster, all he had to do was think about it, and his mana would flow faster.
But… Rael decided to give this race the benefit of the doubt, as, after all, this was a fusion between two extremely powerful races.
Of course, he wasn’t expecting many new options or effects, since this was technically a new race altogether.
So Rael took several deep breaths, stood up, and then quickly stretched his body.
It really did feel weird.
Should he just buy a better body?
Ugh…
Whatever.
Rael finally decided to stop procrastinating, and as he opened the new race window, he prepared himself for whatever chimera race he was about to see.
