Chapter 717: Beating Up The Cavalry
Chapter 717: Beating Up The Cavalry
Fate Dragons came from the left and the right, trying their best to stop Rael’s advance.
It seemed like they really did have a way to communicate with each other, but it seemed like Rael wasn’t exactly a part of the cool kids, so he couldn’t hear shit.
Either way, every time someone got near him, Rael used Ordinance to stop them in place, and as expected, not a single one was able to resist.
Even the upper Grade 9 adult Fate Dragons were affected.
But coincidentally, they also knew what to do if they ever got caught in something like this.
The people he had frozen suddenly vibrated at a rapid speed and began resisting his Ordinance.
Furthermore, Rael felt some weird energies enveloping him again, similar to what Victoria had done.
Except this time, Rael simply brushed off the energy and glanced ahead.
Only then did he realize that while these people were rapidly vibrating, they were actually moving inside the Prophetic Realm.
And they were obviously nearing him.
The moment Rael understood that, he immediately made his way into the Prophetic Realm and was immediately met with a punch straight to the chin.
Tanking that attack wasn’t hard in the slightest, since one of the weaker Fate Dragons had done it.
Yet Rael was surprised by just how many of the Fate Dragons were inside the Prophetic Realm.
Hundreds, if not thousands.
Had he actually ever fought inside his Prophetic Realm?
He did hit someone without them being able to fight back, but this was a little different.
Regardless of that, since he had the God of Fate buff and the mastery to show for it, Rael took a deep breath and decided to go with the bare-knuckles approach.
Moving at several times the speed of light, Rael arrived before a batch of the more powerful Fate Dragons.
They met him head-on with their fists, and since the disparity between their stats wasn’t that high, the Fate Dragons managed to make him take a few steps back.
But Rael quickly regained his composure and went for a second punch, then a third, until eventually he broke through the defenses of one of the Fate Dragons.
Right as he was about to finish him off with a simple knockout, a couple more of the Fate Dragons jumped in and started bombarding Rael with endless kicks and punches.
It seemed like no one really knew what they were doing.
Except for those that kept trying to suck away his probabilities.
But why would they even do that?
Did they think that if they stole luck away from him, he would hit any less hard?
With that thought in mind, Rael decided to use his Laws.
Blocking the attacks of several Fate Dragons, he froze time, only for the same phenomenon as before to happen as the Fate Dragons canceled out the time stop and began moving again.
Since he wasn’t out to kill them, this was pretty troublesome.
If he just fought them here, then his body in the real world would be in danger.
He kind of hoped it wasn’t, but clearly, when he glanced down and saw a few Fate Dragons approaching him, he quickly realized that the time disparity of the realms didn’t apply to these Fate Dragons.
Though if he were to leave this place, they would just beat him up from another angle.
Really, fighting Fate Dragons was a massive pain in the ass.
[Well, they’re not really fighters,] Burger chimed in. [They’re just beings who read prophecies, see the future, change probabilities. They’re shit fighters. Any of the other dragon races who are on the same level as these blokes would be able to beat their ass.]
Rael rolled his eyes, agreeing with Burger.
[Just create a barrier. You have the Law of Propulsion and a few other Laws. You could imitate the Telekinesis ability and create a barrier where the closer someone is to you, the more they get pushed back,] Burger added.
Although he sprung this on Rael out of nowhere, Rael had actually already been planning something like this, except he had other Laws in mind.
He could likely replicate special abilities by just combining different Laws, and he first wanted to do something like a Time Cut, where he could attack one place in time a few seconds prior and the one in the future would get damaged.
Though as cool as it was, he hadn’t succeeded yet.
Nonetheless, Telekinesis seemed straightforward.
So he quickly focused on the appropriate Laws and began weaving together an ability that kind of made sense.
Eventually, Rael managed to form a rough telekinetic barrier around himself, and although it looked unstable, when someone tried to punch him, they would get blasted back several dozen meters.
For those that were stronger, their punches would make it further, but they would not even be able to touch his body as the telekinesis would push them back.
It was a fun ability, and honestly, against beings who were more annoying than anything, it was perfect.
So with that in mind, Rael proceeded to simply exit the Prophetic Realm, fully assured that nothing would happen to him.
Of course, there was the problem that someone would suck away at his probabilities, and he couldn’t do anything about it, but he figured if he could make it to Victoria’s throne room before that happened, then all would be well.
And clearly, once he came back, he was met with quite the entourage as many of the Fate Dragons who hadn’t entered the Prophetic Realm began charging at him.
Some even used special skills that allowed them to control his blood.
Though since his regeneration was practically unstoppable, they weren’t even able to control his blood properly, and so Rael simply ran ahead with a smile on his face.
Just then, an extremely fast Fate Dragon emerged and stabbed Rael straight through the arm.
Or that was what was supposed to happen.
Instead, the Fate Dragon didn’t even manage to pierce his skin.
Rael was confused for a moment.
That was until Burger’s voice rang out inside his mind.
[How can you honestly forget that you have immortality and invincibility? You idiot…]
Oh.
