Chapter 2250: Chapter 2250 Are You Itching for Trouble Again?
“A newly crowned emperor always appears more prudent at the beginning.” Qian Jiyun didn’t believe there was anything praiseworthy about the New Sovereign Emperor’s approach.
This was expected; the New Sovereign Emperor had just ascended to the throne and needed to show results across the land.
If he couldn’t even handle the matter of the Dark Token, then his reign would be essentially worthless—what good was that?
At least he wasn’t entirely foolish. He knew to pass the Dark Token along rather than let it become a disaster in his own hands.
“The more power one holds, the less one can resist greed. If the Dark Token remained in his hands, I fear all the forces behind it would eventually be exhausted by them.”
“That’s true.”
An Jiuyue nodded in agreement.
The point was valid—while the New Sovereign Emperor might look decent for now, who knew what he’d become after a few years?
“Let’s not dwell on this. Jiyun, we’ve wrapped up everything about the Plant Plane. Shouldn’t we set off now?”
“Yes, it’s time. But let’s take our time this trip. We’ll return to the Yiinn Family first to settle any loose ends, then make our way through Wulong Mountain,” Qian Jiyun replied.
This time, they still wouldn’t head toward Huayan Peak.
Agreeing with him, An Jiuyue nodded.
“Fine, we’ll do as you say.”
She turned her gaze toward their little baby, who was practicing walking on the ground.
“Nuonuo, we’re leaving soon. Do you want to buy anything, like toys or something?” she asked.
“No, no, Mommy, let’s go. Leave Daddy behind!”
The little baby ran over and clung to Mommy’s leg, shooting a disdainful look at Qian Jiyun, his own father, while announcing loudly.
Qian Jiyun: “…”
This kid really had his own ideas now, huh? He even knew how to ditch his dad!
“Nuonuo, are you asking for trouble again?”
Qian Jiyun put on a stern face, pretending to look fierce as he asked.
“Nuonuo’s not in trouble! Nuonuo bathes every day, so I’m not dirty or smelly!”
The little baby patted his chest, then showed off his tiny arms to his father, demonstrating that he bathed daily and wasn’t one of those smelly kids.
“Mommy, Nuonuo is a clean Nuonuo, not smelly.” He turned to An Jiuyue and said.
“Yes, our Nuonuo is very clean and takes baths every day.”
An Jiuyue bent down to pick up the little baby and let him sit on her lap.
“Uh-huh, bath every day.”
The little baby nodded his head repeatedly, then cast a provocational glance at his father.
“Mommy, are we going back home? Are we going to another unfamiliar place again? Will you carry me, or are you going to put me in the space all alone?”
He asked.
The mention of being put in the space brought a small hint of grievance to his tone.
Other kids out there had playmates, but what about him? Every time he made new friends, they’d barely had a few exchanges before he had to leave again.
That’s just how it was—following his parents from plane to plane, it was impossible to form strong ties.
“Mommy, why don’t we leave Uncle Yuu Rong and Uncle Yi Kun behind here? That way, we can find some kids to bring along and play with Nuonuo.”
Just as he stepped into the room after wrapping things up outside, Yuu Rong nearly tripped over the threshold.
Well, well! This little rascal already had plans to trade them away just to swap for playmates? Wasn’t this basically child trafficking?!
Unbelievable. Just unbelievable!
