Chapter 3278: Crossbow Lar, Just Darken
“Too tiring.” Ning Shu waved her hand.
Dagger Mu came upstairs and roared at Ning Shu lying on the bed, “I’m going to kill you! I’ll kill you!”
Crossbow Lar said sternly, “Don’t talk so loud.”
Dagger Mu paused, then lowered his voice and said quietly, “Damned woman, I’m going to kill you. I’ll kill you.”
“You’re not allowed to call my master a damned woman. She has a name. And you’re not allowed to say you’ll kill her,” Crossbow Lar said.
Dagger Mu looked annoyed. “Crossbow Lar, just darken. I’ll protect you from now on. You don’t need to stay with this human.”
Ning Shu glanced between Crossbow Lar and Dagger Mu, feeling a bit suspicious. They all said that birds of a feather flock together.
Dagger Mu had identified Crossbow Lar as his kind. Crossbow Lar was a defective product, and Dagger Mu was a fallen weapon.
Loneliness and Crossbow Lar’s attitude made Dagger Mu cling to him as a fellow outcast.
Compared to other weapons, Crossbow Lar’s attitude toward Dagger Mu was better, even a bit like a strict older brother.
Ning Shu pressed a palm to her forehead, closed her eyes, and ignored the two chattering weapons.
Whether having this fallen weapon around was good or bad remained to be seen.
The next morning, after breakfast, Mei Ziqing packed up to find her lover.
Ning Shu saw her to the door. Mei Ziqing smiled and said, “I’m off.”
Ning Shu confirmed again, “Did you really report it? This isn’t a small matter.”
“I did. Don’t worry.”
“I’m just afraid your heart will soften again,” Ning Shu said.
It seemed Mei Ziqing’s lover had tried constructing several heavens-altering formations before, all of which failed.
And because she couldn’t bring herself to, Mei Ziqing never reported them.
She really should’ve just destroyed that thing already back then.
“How about we just ignore him? Someone else will deal with him,” Ning Shu said.
Mei Ziqing looked toward the distant mountain. “Ning Shu, some things, some feelings, you won’t understand.”
“Fine, I don’t understand. Go on then. I definitely won’t go.” Ning Shu raised her hand and waved goodbye.
She had no interest in meddling in couples’ affairs.
“If something happens to me, please report it again. Sorry to trouble you,” Mei Ziqing said, leaving with her five weapons.
Crossbow Lar walked over and asked Ning Shu, “She’s gone. You’re not going?”
Ning Shu spread her hands. “Nope. It’s way too dangerous.”
She would just wait. If needed, she’d burn a privilege ticket.
Ning Shu had no interest in getting involved in something this dangerous.
She passed her days leisurely at the inn, watching Crossbow Lar nag nonstop into Dagger Mu’s ear.
You can’t do this. You can’t do that.
Dagger Mu looked gloomy, and several times seemed close to killing Crossbow Lar.
Ning Shu would walk over and stomp on Dagger Mu’s face, grinding her foot into his face.
Ning Shu preferred cremation over redemption.
Two days had passed since Mei Ziqing left, and still there was no news. Ning Shu said to 2333, “Check on Mei Ziqing. Try to be polite.”
2333 responded with an “Oh,” and after a while replied, “Still wandering around the mountains. Hasn’t found him yet.”
Ning Shu rested her chin in her hand. With love’s thread, how could she still not have found him?
Ning Shu was getting a little impatient. Her own task hadn’t progressed at all.
