Chapter 927: Rescue
Chapter 927: Rescue
A problem?
What problem?!
Everyone was puzzled by Xie Hao.
Xie Jing, Sun Kai, and Xie Ran rushed into the cabin. Dong Xuebing and Xie Huilan followed behind.
“What happened?”
“Listen to this.”
“What?”
“The radio! Quick.”
There’s a radio in the cabin.
The radio host was speaking fast. “We confirmed around six people from China and Taiwan are trapped in the sea around Diaoyu Dao. Their fishing boats were heavily damaged after the Japanese coast guards crashed their boats. We received their radio calls for help earlier, which are uncontactable now. We are still waiting for updates on the situation.”
Xie Jing was shocked. “The Japanese Coast Guards crashed into our fishing boats?!”
Xie Ran was furious. “Didn’t they say they are setting off at night?”
Xie Huilan narrowed their eyes. “They might have announced that to cover their tracks and prevent the Japanese Coast Guards from stopping them. The Japanese seemed to have anticipated this move and sealed that area.”
Youyou shouted. “Seal that area?! That is not their territory! How can they seal off that area?”
Wu Er clenched his fists. “Those bastards.”
Xie Hao shouted angrily. “Those Japanese are too much! “
Dong Xuebing’s face changed. He read the news on the plane and knew a group was planning to fish at Diaoyu Dao. Their purpose was not to fish there. They were trying to establish their claims over Diaoyu Dao. The Japanese Coast Guards had been patrolling that area and claimed those islands. They had shamelessly entered China’s territory and chased our fishing boats away. This was a serious provocation!
They can do this if our fishing boats enter Japan’s sea to fish there.
But our fishing boats were fishing in our sea, and you all crashed and damaged them?!
These F**kers!
You all are too much!
Everyone lost interest in having fun after hearing it on the radio.
Wu Er steered the yacht back to the small pier.
Outside of the pier.
A few middle-aged men and women were frowning and talking on the beach.
Dong Xuebing and the rest got off the yacht, and one of the middle-aged men waved to Wu Er.
“Old Wu! Oh, Youyou is here too. Have you all heard about it?” One of them asked.
Wu Er asked. “Why are you all here? What happened?”
That man replied. “Those Japanese boats had entered our sea again! Did they think we are pushovers?!”
Wu Er replied coldly. “I heard it on the radio earlier. Their Coast Guards had crashed into our fishing boats, and we don’t know if they are still alive.”
“They had gone overboard!”
“I asked around earlier. The rescue boat had set off.”
“Oh, did they find them?”
“They just set off for Diaoyu Dao.”
These people were residents in the Mansions by the sea and knew each other.
Dong Xuebing, Xie Huilan, and the rest sat on the beach chairs nearby when Wu Er chatted with their friends. All of them looked terrible.
Sun Kai was very agitated. “We cannot let this happen!”
Xie Hao kicked the sand to vent his frustration. “We must not tolerate their actions anymore!”
Dong Xuebing took out his phone. “I am making a phone call.”
Xie Huilan glanced at Dong Xuebing and said. “You don’t need to call. It’s useless.” She knew who he was calling.
Dong Xuebing ignored her and walked away with his phone. He called Xie Huilan’s Second Uncle Xie Guojian.
“Hello, Second Uncle. I am Xiao Dong.”
“I know. What is it?”
“Do you know about the situation at Diaoyu Dao?”
“I heard about it. Those Japanese are too much.”
Dong Xuebing paused for a second. “We got to save the fishermen now. That sea is vast, and their communication devices are down. I am afraid they cannot be rescued. Can you send the Navy to look for them? The Navy vessels can also chase those Japanese Coast Guards out of our sea and teach them a lesson.”
Xie Guojian paused for a second. “It’s more complicated than you think.”
“I know it’s not easy, that’s why….”
“This is not up to me to decide. Furthermore, that area falls under Taiwan, and our Navy cannot interfere.”
“But our people are in danger. How can we allow those Japanese to destroy our fishing boats? They might be killed. If we are not going to do anything, they will trespass into our sea again.”
“Taiwan had sent out a search and rescue party.”
“That’s not enough. What if they cannot find the fishermen?”
“It should not be a problem. The fishermen had sent their coordinates before they went missing. We shall talk again after we find them.”
Dong Xuebing could not persuade Xie Guojian and had to hang up. He stared at the sea coldly.
Xie Huilan looked at Dong Xuebing and patted his hand. “Calm down, and don’t be rash. Let’s wait and see if the rescue party can find those fishermen.”
Dong Xuebing kept quiet.
Evening, 7 pm.
The sky was getting darker.
Wu Er, Xie Huilan, Xie Ran, and the rest watched the news in the mansion’s living room. They were waiting for the latest update.
No news….
Still no news….
Everyone was getting impatient from waiting.
“Why are there no reports? We had waited so long.”
“It’s some distance from here, and the rescue boat might not reach there yet.”
“I heard the search party was formed by the fishing boats nearby. But fishing boats are not as fast as yachts. I hope there are ships nearby. They would be faster than sailing from here.”
Suddenly, there was a piece of flash news.
An advertisement was interrupted. The news anchor appeared and reported. “A fishing boat near Diaoyu Dao had gone to rescue the fishing boats and found the damaged boat. However, the Japanese Coast Guard stopped the fishing boat from going near it. The Coast Guard claimed Diaoyu Dao was Japan’s territory and crashed into that Taiwanese fishing boat after a warning. The Coast Guard chased after that fishing boat for around ten minutes and crashed into them several times. The fishing boat managed to escape, but it was badly damaged. Luckily, the rescue party was nearby and saved the crew. The crew was not injured. The rescue party was in a standoff with the Japanese Coast Guard in the Diaoyu Dao sea. The Japanese Coast Guard had cordoned the area and did not allow the rescue party boats to enter. The following footage is taken by the first rescue boat.”
The footage showed a vast sea and was shaky.
A Japanese Coast Guard vessel opposite announced through their loudspeakers. “Warning! This is Japan’s territory. Leave immediately!”
The crew on the rescue boat shouted. “We are here to save people!”
“Move out of our way. We will leave after we rescue our people.”
The Japanese Coast Guard ignored them, and two Japanese vessels started to speed up at their boat.
“Avoid them!”
“Change direction!”
The crew on the rescue boat shouted, but it was too late.
Crash! The Coast Guard vessels crashed into the rescue boat’s bow and damaged it severely.
The footage ended and switched back to the studios. “Our Foreign Affairs had condemned Japan’s actions.”
Everyone in the mansion exploded after watching the news.
The Japanese Coast Guards had ignored the damaged fishing boats and even tried to sink a rescue boat.
These bastards!
They are inhumane!
Even the calm and composed Xie Huilan got mad.
Sun Kai was furious. “Trespassing into our territory, cordoning off our sea, and crashing our boats?! Are they trying to start a war?!”
Wu Er was also furious. “They crashed into our boats and didn’t allow us to rescue our people. They are trying to control that area and scare others from going near Diaoyu Dao.”
This outcome was unexpected.
Everyone was disgusted by Japan’s actions.
If this drags on, that damaged Chinese fishing boat will sink, and the crew will die or be captured.
No one wants this to happen.
Xie Hao was anxious. “What should we do now? We can’t let that damaged fishing boat sink, but the rescue boats cannot enter that area.”
Xie Jing sighed. “I wonder if that fishing boat is leaking.”
The boat was severely damaged. It must be leaking.” Xie Hao replied.
If the boat was leaking, it would not last any longer. This was an emergency.
Dong Xuebing looked at Wu Er suddenly. “Uncle Wu, can you lend me your yacht?”
Wu Er hesitated for a second. “No problem. But why do you need the yacht?”
Dong Xuebing got up slowly. “Let me rescue our people. At the same time, I will show those Japanese who owns that sea!”
