Chapter 678 - Persuading Natsuki Sakamoto
Chapter 678 - Persuading Natsuki Sakamoto
When Su Tao returned to the hotel, he gave a call to Xia Yu. That fellow was a night owl, and he’s currently having a barbeque with Sun Xuefeng right now.
Sun Xuefeng had successfully integrated himself into the Three Flavour Hall, and he had been helping with the development of the mobile application. When Sun Xuefeng sorted out the software all over again, he won the admiration of the Technological Department’s Director. There weren’t any flaws in the database, back-end, and security. The mobile application was practically ready for Su Tao to launch it officially when he returns to China.
Su Tao was planning a release ceremony to allow more people to understand and use this application.
According to his intentions, there would be a total of one thousand members from the TCM Alliance, and everyone would have a broadcast room to communicate with the patients. The patients would not be required to take a queue, and they could just download the application to start their consultation.
Then again, the physicians must possess a certain standard of ability, and those that were below the level would be rejected to prevent them from misguiding the patients.
As for the auditing process, Su Tao had already requested Yan Jing to get someone to sort it out, and there were roughly two hundred initial selected elites.
According to their first estimation of traffic flow, the first batch would be sufficient. After all, the consultation application wasn’t the same as entertainment applications, and it wouldn’t be easy to gather a lot of people.
But there’s a need for the mobile application as well since everyone would fall sick, and they could easily find a physician through the application to answer their needs. Furthermore, it’s easy for the application to rise in public reputation, and once the scale reaches a certain amount, the growth would be terrifying.
At the same time, Su Tao had requested for a payment system to guarantee that the physicians would be paid for their services.
For some physicians, this could be an additional channel of publicity. On the other hand, it could allow them to have sufficient rest to provide a better service for the customers, not to mention that they could earn some money while they’re at it.
There were three reasons why Su Tao was so dedicated to having a mobile application. Firstly, he’s part of the young generation, and he needed to change according to the trend. Secondly, the country was trying to promote internet services, and TCM had to follow up on the development. Thirdly, the internet could shorten the distance between physicians and patients, and saving time can be a breakthrough for TCM to surpass western medicine. After all, TCM only needed an observation to come up with a diagnosis, while western medicine required detailed examination.
Nowadays, every industry was overturning its old concept for the internet era, and TCM had to keep up with the trend, or they would fall behind.
With the current development of China’s internet, if TCM could make use of this to keep up with the trend, they could have a chance to topple western medicine’s supremacy in the medical industry.
Su Tao gave Xia Yu a call to tell him that he had already determined Yu Omuri to be the person that he wanted to recruit for the medicine factory.
After he explained his thoughts, Xia Yu smiled. “Yu Omuri has a pretty good personality, and he’s an honest chap. I will contact Qian Honghu and have him try to convince Yu Omuri as well.”
“It looks like we’re getting more linked in our thoughts.” Su Tao smiled.
“That’s a must!” Xia Yu continued, “I’ll pester Qian Honghu daily with gifts, and I have already researched him. He has a good personality, and his only flaw is his emphasis on etiquette. I’ll just pretend to be his grandson, and I’m sure that he will become soft-hearted.”
It looks like Xia Yu was getting more and more detailed in his job as an intelligence personnel.
“I’ll entrust this matter to you. Oh, right. Did Xuefeng do anything these days?” Su Tao smiled.
“That fellow is truly an expert when it comes to computers. In the future, if I need any information, it can be easily done with him around.” Xia Yu chuckled.
Su Tao inwardly sighed. With the intelligence personnel and hacker together, it’s truly a perfect match.
He could be considered multi-tasking right now since he had thought of various methods just to obtain Yu Omuri.
As the saying goes, the talents of the twenty-first century are extremely important.
The next morning after Ni Jingqiu washed up, her doorbell rang. When she opened it, she saw Su Tao dressed formally with a playful smile hanging on his face.
“What’s wrong?” She asked.
Waving his phone before her, Su Tao smiled. “I want to talk to Natsuki Sakamoto!”
“Turn on the speaker, then!” Ni Jingqiu bitterly smiled.
When Natsuki Sakamoto received a call from Su Tao, she was naturally thrilled.
She was worried that she might lose contact with Su Tao. After all, Su Tao was someone who saved her father, and she had yet to repay him.
But when she heard Ni Jingqiu’s voice, she inwardly sighed. With the language barrier between them, they had to rely on someone to translate for them, which made the process painful.
With Ni Jingqiu’s help, Su Tao managed to make an appointment with Natsuki Sakamoto at a nearby café.
When they entered, they instantly saw Natsuki Sakamoto sitting by a corner, wearing a white shirt and black tube skirt. Her slim legs were wrapped in white stockings, and despite the fact that she was sitting in a corner, she would still occasionally attract the attention of other customers.
Regardless of the gazes being kind or malicious, it would still feel uncomfortable. However, Natsuki Sakamoto was already used to it. She quietly sat there, looking at the scenery outside the window.
When she saw Su Tao, she chuckled and waved her hand.
Walking over in significant steps, Su Tao smiled. “Natsuki, sorry to have kept you waiting.”
After Ni Jingqiu translated for him, Natsuki Sakamoto shook her head and smiled. “It’s fine. I’m happy to see you again.”
Waving his hand at the waiter, Su Tao ordered coffee, Ni Jingqiu ordered milk tea, and Natsuki Sakamoto ordered a cup of lemon juice.
When the drinks were served, Ni Jingqiu noticed that it was more than what they had ordered, so she immediately called out to the waiter and asked, “We didn’t order these.”
“Our boss is a fan of Natsuki-san, so he had gifted these to you guys.” The waiter smiled.
When Natsuki Sakamoto heard those words, her face alternated between red and white. Evidently, she did not feel honored that the boss of this café was a fan of hers.
After all, she had been trying to hide her embarrassing past.
After Ni Jingqiu translated for Su Tao, he stood up and threw the desserts on the table into the rubbish bin.
When Natsuki Sakamoto saw this, she was shocked by Su Tao’s actions.
However, she soon figured out why Su Tao did this and gratefulness filled her eyes.
“Natsuki, since you’ve already retired, then you should bid farewell to your past. Although the desserts are a form of goodwill from your fans, I think that you should reject them. Since you’ve decided to forget the past, you should not let it drag you down.” Su Tao smiled.
Upon listening to Ni Jingqiu’s translation, Natsuki Sakamoto smiled. “That’s right. It might hurt the hearts of others, but I would feel comfortable.”
Su Tao then took a sip of the coffee. He might prefer tea, but he had a special feeling for coffee nowadays. Promoting traditional culture didn’t mean rejecting everything else, or it would only show that you do not have a magnanimous heart.
Seeing Natsuki Sakamoto looking at him in perplexion, Su Tao placed the coffee down and asked, “May I ask how your relationship with Doctor Omuri is doing?”
Natsuki Sakamoto’s expression briefly froze before she squeezed out a smile. “Doctor Omuri is a warm, well-mannered, and sincere person.”
“I’m afraid that you’re still in the dark about Doctor Omuri being fired from the hospital yesterday?” With Ni Jingqiu’s help, Su Tao could smoothly converse with Natsuki Sakamoto.
“Ah?” Natsuki Sakamoto covered her mouth in disbelief before she exclaimed, “How did that happen? He’s a good person!”
“Even a good person will suffer setbacks, and he needs your help right now.” Su Tao patiently said.
“Help?” Natsuki Sakamoto said with difficulty. “But my abilities are limited, and in my eyes, you should be able to help him. After all, the two of you are in the same profession.”
Su Tao had been trying to lead the conversation in the direction he wanted. Taking a deep breath, he said in a sincere tone, “I hope that you can help Yu Omuri, and at the same time, help me. Help me persuade him to develop in China with me, and at the same time, I’m also sincerely inviting you over to China. Regardless of Yu Omuri or you, it will be a new start.”
Natsuki Sakamoto also had similar thoughts, and now that she has received an invitation from Su Tao, her eyes lit up. However, she still said in a worried tone, “But I don’t know if I can convince Doctor Omuri. As for me, I do have thoughts to develop in China, but I have to seek my father’s opinion first.”
From Natsuki Sakamoto’s expression, Su Tao had already peeked into her inner thoughts, so he felt relieved and continued, “Natsuki, I’m saying this as a third-party, but I can tell that Doctor Omuri has feelings for you. Actually, I think that you should give him an opportunity to court you.”
Natsuki Sakamoto looked at Ni Jingqiu and Su Tao with shock before she revealed a self-mocking smile. “I understand myself, and I’m not a match for Doctor Omuri.”
“No, you should have more confidence in yourself!” Su Tao revealed a relaxed smile and continued, “I’m sincerely inviting the both of you to start anew together in China.”
Natsuki Sakamoto no longer dared to look at Su Tao’s passionate gaze since she felt complicated. Under Su Tao’s help, her father’s condition has been improving. As for Yu Omuri, she did have some feelings for him, but it’s not to the standard of love.
From Su Tao’s gaze, she could tell that Su Tao was sincerely asking for her help. In the end, she made up her mind and replied, “Mr. Su, I will try my best to communicate with Doctor Omuri to head to China with you to develop.”
“What about you?” Su Tao pursued.
“If my father agrees to it, I’m also willing to start a new life in China!” Natsuki Sakamoto smiled and continued, “This is also the reason why I’m trying to learn Mandarin.”
Seeing that Natsuki Sakamoto had agreed to his request, he instantly felt more confident in persuading Yu Omuri.
At this moment, Ni Jingqiu felt complicated in her heart. She might only be a translator here, but she knew that Natsuki Sakamoto only felt respect for Yu Omuri. The reason why she’s willing to help was purely because of Su Tao.
