Chapter 1895: Chapter 1887: A Sword's Revenge
Wei Wuyin's gratitude went unnoticed as he consolidated his Eye of Samsara, fusing multiple aspects of his personal discovery and foundation, creating his first Eye of Dao based on the technique that both facilitated the abnormal reincarnation of Su Yi and his extraordinary soul.
As a Royal Magi, it was a rite of passage to develop their own Eye of Dao's lineage. Truthfully, Wei Wuyin had only tested the possibility that the accumulation of his comprehension, the depth of his Second Mind's understanding of the Eye of Dao, and the several aspects such as the Samsara of Stars' Unique Intent, the Eye of Immortality's eternal aura, his own blessing from the great daos, and his Spiritual Strength was enough to create this new eye.
Sensing that the Wheel of Samsara was acting properly as the core for the Eye of Samsara, akin to the Eye of Creation's Divine Seed of Creation and the Eye of Immortality's eternal aura, Wei Wuyin came to realize that his Celestial Eyes of Spiritual Divinity had progressed in strength.
"I can feel the peak limits of my spiritual energy have increased," Wei Wuyin concluded concisely as the Eye of Samsara continuously produced Samsara Spiritual Energy to substitute for his Soul Energy to command his Major Laws. More importantly, unlike Su Yi's Samsara Energy generated by his innate energies, the Eye of Dao drew from Little Defiant's inestimable reserves of Solar Essence.
"Tch," King echoed out in agreement.
Wei Wuyin, curious about King's reaction, inspected his Omega Saber Mystic Core. Within, there were scant amounts of Samsara Spiritual Energy infusing with it, nourishing King's spirituality and Astral Soul, expanding its limits.
This was an unexpected discovery, especially since he had more or less maximized his foundation already to an extreme limit. There was nothing else left to do but ascend. This Eye of Dao was pushing an already unknown peak to further heights, changing his foundational limits regarding the spiritual qualities of his Astral Souls.
Abruptly, Wei Wuyin felt a hunger originating from his body, mind, and spirits. After being full for so long, unable to push himself further, the ceiling was elevated, allowing an emptiness to emerge that needed to be filled. Sensing this hunger, he didn't have to do anything as Little Defiant diverted a portion of its Solar Essence toward King to refine.
This was a standard procedure of cultivation for those who've cultivated a World-Bound Star Domain. It wasn't just a reserve of solar essence to replenish one's innate energies in an emergency, the core of a stellar array that could defend one's territory while exerting complete control, a technique that Wei Wuyin used for Baby Defiant in his Neo-Dawn Stellar Region, or a guardian of one's Mind's Eye, but an assistive tool for cultivation to incessantly derive external essence to refine one's innate energies.
It was primarily a foundation booster, all designed for the main purpose of accelerating the creation of one's Astral Idol!King gobbled the solar essence without hesitation. Despite its ravenous appetite, Little Defiant still maintained the flow of solar essence to the Eye of Samsara. Little Defiant was a pillar for the Astral Souls, long since has it become a reliable member of the family. Wei Wuyin smiled warmly.
Meanwhile, the sudden, continuous flow of Samsara Spiritual Energy was a generous boon for the operation. Without the fear of exhausting the reserves of Soul Energy that Wei Wuyin was allowing him to draw from, the Second Mind began to execute techniques that rapidly progressed Hong Xuannu's state.
It was only after a few minutes of seeing the effects did Ori speak out a statement that made the Second Mind, Eden, and Kratos speechless: "It sucks that she doesn't have an Eye of Samsara. If she did, she could stabilize her soul with this new energy."
"..." Wei Wuyin's eyes widened with shocked disbelief.
The Second Mind caught it immediately, and Wei Wuyin could hear the face palm echoing through his Sea of Consciousness.
The method of stabilization was changed to the method of recovery. No longer was the operation designed to retain the form and shape of the Resonant Soul and physical body, but an attempt to send Samsara Spiritual Energy to initiate a full-blown recovery of Soul Energy. That was her issue, after all. She had ignited her Resonant Soul, burning through her True Soul, and it was on the verge of crumbling out of existence.
Like splashing an icy lake on a house fire, Hong Xuannu's Resonant Soul instantly stabilized. Then, it began to recover after absorbing the externally refined Samsara Spiritual Energy like a calf sucking on its mother's milk. She began to show signs of rapid recovery with her body's fissures healing and her soul aura increasing in intensity.
Samsara Spiritual Energy was a substitute for Soul Energy, but it also contained the qualities of death and life, decline and growth, burning and cooling, the very duality of all things, so revitalizing a Resonant Soul was an easy task after one understood this simple detail. Inversely used, Samsara Spiritual Energy had great offensive potential.
Those who heard Su Yi's explanation of the secrets of Samsara would be subjected to the consequence of decline and ruination, which was why Su Yi warned Wei Wuyin extensively beforehand. If he didn't have an eternal factor, he would inevitably have to enter the limits of death with no way to return.
Fortunately, Wei Wuyin had three sources of an eternal factor: from his Eye of Immortality(Spirit), a belt enveloping Little Defiant's form within his Mind's Eye(Mind), and the Stellar-Paragon Physique's great dao blessing(Body and Essence). He was by far the best equipped to handle the secrets. If anyone else heard those secrets, they would have to experience death. Only those at the Resonant Soul Realm could rely on their Microheaven or greater to tether themselves as resistance, only suffering a severe backlash, but even then, they'd have to understand the Language of Life and Death to acquire anything substantial.
It was fortunate that Su Yi couldn't use these verbal-spoken secrets in battle, requiring an extensive time to speak and an unyielding willingness to hear everything, or else he would be invincible with that form of attack. But… …the Eye of Samsara might be able to.
Wei Wuyin mentally explored the possibility. Meanwhile, Hong Xuannu's eyelids fluttered, giving glimpses of her beautiful pair of eyes. Her ruddy complexion was exuding great health, and her situation was improving visibly. As the Eye of Samsara kept activating, it grew increasingly efficient in essence-to-energy conversion, generating pure Samasra Spiritual Energy in vaster quantities with less waste.
Moreover, Little Defiant seemed to benefit from this. It didn't hesitate to assist, pouring greater quantities of solar essence with each moment. Wei Wuyin's Eye of Immortality triggered for a brief stint, causing him to hurriedly inform Little Defiant to maintain its output and not increase it.
The Eye of Immortality had just saved his eyes from exploding from the surge of essence reaching its limit. While his Celestial Eyes of Spiritual Divinity's strength was relative to his Spiritual Strength, this also meant he had a limit to what it could contain at a certain point.
After all, he was still only a Mystic Star Phase cultivator. Moreover, he had just lifted his maximum limits for his aspects of spirituality for himself and his four Astral Souls.
However, this had inadvertently given Little Defiant a method by which to cultivate, so he was pleasantly surprised by these discoveries. It was likely due to the Samsara of Stars' incorporated into the Eye of Samsara, allowing the Wheel of Samsara to grow Solar Essence.
This suggested that Little Defiant, with enough time, would likely increase its Star Soul's strength, thereby affecting its Solar Core internal structure, potentially allowing its Defiant-sized category to grow!
Given its already immense enormity that was genuinely unrivaled across the universe, having rewritten the very limits of Solar Star size, this was an outrageous development that was inspiring excited feelings within Wei Wuyin's heart.
"Perhaps the name 'little' is perfect. It's still only an infant, after all." Wei Wuyin's eyes sparkled with great, soul-shaking brilliance.
"Mnhm…" A soft moan escaped Hong Xuannu's lips as her fluttering eyelids parted, exposing her gorgeous eyes that contained a wild glint. Her first sight was the unearthly, handsome features of Wei Wuyin, the savior of her life. She looked down, noting that Wei Wuyin's hands were placed firmly on her dantian and heart region; the latter of the two was holding onto one of her proud peaks through clothing.
She looked back at Wei Wuyin. The man was in his own world, focused on pouring cool, gentle, and nourishing energy into her. She would normally enter a violent rage if a man dared to take advantage of her, but given the circumstances, she didn't do so. And the reason for this was mostly because of fear.
Wei Wuyin's cultivation base was extraordinarily unimaginable, capable of saving her life after she ignited her Resonant Soul. While she felt that all her accumulated resonant qi over the last twenty thousand years since her ascension was gone, she was only emptied. Her foundation hadn't suffered any devastating damage. Even her lifespan hadn't experienced too heavy a decline.
Wei Wuyin's Second Mind caught her awakened state. With a soft sigh, he retracted his efforts after one last inspection using the Celestial Eyes to ensure her healthy state. Then, without hesitation, he retreated to the Library of Eden with a substantial amount of high-tiered information to digest and organize.
More importantly, it wanted to experiment with the Eye of Samsara's Samsara Spiritual Energy. It was extremely exciting to see that its various theories and conjectures had flawlessly harmonized into a perfect Eye of Dao.
Wei Wuyin had the urge to argue that it was his efforts that led to the Eye of Samsara; he had only devised the framework over decades to create any Eye of Dao. However, when he thought about arguing with himself on who contributed more, it felt nonsensical and pointless.
With a soft chuckle of amusement, Wei Wuyin accepted the Second Mind's urgency like a mathematician finding a new equation. He wasn't drained either. After the Eye of Samsara's energy acted as a substitute for his Soul Energy for the Major Laws, the Stellar-Paragon Physique's recovery powers went into effect, rapidly replenishing his expended energies as he leveraged Little Defiant's Solar Essence to accelerate the process.
"Are you finished?" Hong Xuannu calmly asked.
"Hm?" Wei Wuyin looked at the horizontal body floating before him, including how one of his hands was rather full. He looked her directly in the eyes.
She returned his gaze unflinchingly.
And then he squeezed.
With a firm nod, he commented: "Healthy."
"..." Her eyes stared into his soul. Beautiful or not, they were terrifyingly cold to behold.
Yet Wei Wuyin laughed it off. He had genuinely checked her physical condition, so he was without guilt. If he hadn't done this bit of due diligence, he would likely be cursed at by his Second Mind if something went wrong. After all, his own perception was actually higher than his Second Mind's.
Pulling away his hand, he took three steps back. She rubbed her chest as her eyes never left Wei Wuyin's figure, slowly gathering the surrounding chaos mana to lift her upright. She felt that her utilization of her powers and exertion of will was sluggish, but she expected that and shrugged it off mentally.
"Thank you, Heaven-Saint Neo-Dawn." She didn't pursue his last squeeze. She felt his Spiritual Aura sweep through her, without any malicious or lustful intent. She didn't resist his inspection either, understanding his action.
"You're welcome, Sovereign She-Devil Sword." Wei Wuyin politely accepted her gratitude. "You were unable to agree to my conditions early. Given the urgent nature of your situation, I was unable to wait for you to give soul-bound consent. I wonder: Do you agree?"
"Three requests, within reason." She repeated Wei Wuyin's concise conditions for saving her life.
Wei Wuyin nodded, confirming his conditions.
Hong Xuannu's eyes flickered for quite a while. However, she resisted the urge to renegotiate. That was an act of bad faith. And what were three reasonable requests for her continued existence? She eventually answered: "Agreed."
Wei Wuyin's lips lifted into a heart-stopping smile. They swiftly hashed out the details, which were barely any, and she swore a Mythical Oath to abide by the agreement. Unfortunately, he couldn't escalate the level of the Mythical Oath's punishment. Only through the strange features of a game of Mystics could one bypass that limit, hence why its various mystical rules were upheld with reverence.
However, given her unconsolidated cultivation, she would certainly die without external support.
"AHHHHHHH!!! I! I HATE YO—"
A deathly shriek of agony and hate erupted outwards across the entire galaxy. It seemed to originate from a woman who was recently crying, potentially begging prior, only when all else had failed and there was no escape, did she unleash all her feelings without regard for anything else.
It was like a ghostly wail filled with regret and hate.
Hong Xuannu and Wei Wuyin both looked toward the origin of the shriek.
Hong Xuannu's lips curved into a bright smile, utterly enticing while carrying a murderous wildness. "An Dihei is dead," she stated with great relish of each syllable as if she wanted to say that for a long, long time.
Wei Wuyin's eyes leaked seven-colored liquid. The Alchemic Dao once again released a mourning announcement of a Heavenly Saint Alchemist's death. Sovereign Darkmother, also known as Gloomdark Alchemic Saint, or by those close to her as An Dihei, was dead.
Her killer?
Su Yi!
Wei Wuyin's eyes pierced through several veils of space, observing the situation as Su Yi was covered in wounds, as bodies of cultivators were left in the wake of his journey. There were signs of remnant talismans and pellets, even auras of various Mystic-Heaven graded treasures.
Yet at the end of his journey, Su Yi stood upright and firm as a lifeless and soulless body was kneeling on the ground as a sword was plunged into its chest, straight through its heart.
The revenge of the reincarnated sword cultivator was completed.
"It's over," Su Yi declared softly without the slightest trace of emotion. After barreling through all manner of defenses and traps, he'd arrived at the core of the tower and killed that damned woman. Unlike what others might say about vengeance, he didn't feel hollow. No, he felt great.
He felt better than GREAT!
A wave of intense joy that he no longer had to share the universe with this woman for all of time was unfathomably comforting to his soul and mind. He couldn't resist the urge to smile, and then, with the demeanor of an unfettered sword immortal, he laughed freely without the slightest restraint. It was pure, harmonious, and honest.
"HAHAHAHA!"
Wei Wuyin reached to grab Hong Xuannu's shoulder. Her expression had drastically shifted as she built up her physical, mental, essence, and spiritual energies to rapidly generate a fragile strand of resonant qi. However, with that simple grab, her energies diffused.
She was shaken by her easily dismantled energies. Wei Wuyin gave her a firm glance and shook his head, causing her heart to nearly skip two beats.
WHOOSH!
WHOOSH!
WHOOSH!
With An Dihei's death, the Zeniths' Dao Enforcers were collapsing on Su Yi!
He was the killer of two Heavenly Saint Alchemists. Game of Mystics or not, his brazen actions violated the rules of the Utmost Purity Galaxy!!
What happened next…
