Chapter 135: What Happened Before She Was Eight?
Shi Beiyu’s forehead creased tightly. He felt terrible to see Mu Siyin this way.
“Believe me, Yinyin. Those things have nothing to do with us. Nothing matters as long as we are together.”
Mu Siyin pushed Shi Beiyu away when she heard this. “You’re lying!”
How could this have nothing to do with them?
If that was the case, why would his mother be so agitated when she saw her?
Mu Siyin was desperate to find out the reason. What had happened between them?
Shi Beiyu had no choice. Since things had come to this, she would definitely question every single detail about the past.
“Okay. Don’t get so worked up. I’ll tell you after we leave this place.”
The light in Mu Siyin’s eyes lit up again.
“Really?”
Shi Beiyu nodded his head. “Yeah.”
The servants on the lawn were frightened from such a huge commotion.
The madam had arrived tonight, and it looked like she was against their Young Master’s relationship with Miss Mu.
What a shame. They knew how much their Young Master adored Miss Mu.
Shi Beiyu drove himself and brought Mu Siyin away with him. As she sat in the car, she was still a little dazed.
She felt that Mother Shi’s words tonight had put a much further distance between her and Shi Beiyu.
What should she do?
What on earth should she do?
Mu Siyin’s thoughts were all over the place, and her face still hurt from the slap. Shi Beiyu did not go far. After buying some medicine from the nearby pharmacy, he drove her to the hotel.
As he opened their room door, Mu Siyin looked at him anxiously. “Tell me now. What on earth was the reason?”
Shi Beiyu drooped his eyelids as he opened the medicine box. Then, he pulled her towards the sofa and sat down before muttering, “Let’s put some medicine on you first.”
Mother Shi was really ruthless when she slapped Mu Siyin. If it was not for the latter’s long hair, her fair skin would definitely expose what had happened earlier on. Her face was obviously swollen with a slap mark on her face.
Shi Beiyu pushed Mu Siyin’s black hair away from her face and immediately saw the fingerprints on it. Coldness quickly washed over Shi Beiyu’s face.
“It hurts, doesn’t it?” he said quietly.
Mu Siyin looked down and shook her head slightly. “Not anymore.”
Mother Shi’s slap was so hard that Mu Siyin’s ears had been ringing ever since.
“I’m sorry…” Shi Beiyu whispered as he frowned. Guilt and frustration could be heard from his voice.
Mu Siyin looked up at him. “I don’t want your apology. I want to know why your mother hates me so much.”
Shi Beiyu paused for a second as he squeezed out some ointment. “It’s going to hurt. Hang in there.”
Mu Siyin frowned in response. Deep down, she was getting very agitated.
It was a serious matter, and she could sense it from Mother Shi’s outburst and how Shi Beiyu was avoiding the topic.
What happened before she was eight?
She really could not remember anything…
Other than some vague memories about her mother and sister, she remembered almost nothing.
Shi Beiyu carefully rubbed the medicine on Mu Siyin as he looked at her helplessly. He then gave out a soft sigh. “Do you really want to know?”
Mu Siyin nodded her head immediately. “Yeah!”
Shi Beiyu knitted his brows and looked down before saying, “It’s nothing much actually.”
Mu Siyin started to lose her patience. “Shi Beiyu! Why are you like this?”
Shi Beiyu met her gaze helplessly. His voice was low as he replied, “Do you know how your sister died?”
Mu Siyin frowned. “I heard them say that it was because of a car accident.”
Shi Beiyu nodded his head. “Yes. It was.”
“You knew?” Mu Siyin was stunned.
The look in Shi Beiyu’s eyes turned complicated. “My father died from a car accident too.”
