Chapter 91 - Ability Assessment (1)
Chapter 91: Ability Assessment (1)
She had doubts about Di Mo Xuan’s intentions of being around her all the time that she shunned him off with her sceptical manners.
Okay, she had decided.
To apologise and seek for his forgiveness when he returned.
Her head was filled with thoughts about the apology as she walked out of the room.
The moment she stepped out of the door, she heard the calls of Zi Ling: “Young Miss! You are finally awake!”
Ye Qing Luo set her eyes across the yard.
Zi Ling stood by the doorway in the opposite room with her wide open arms and flushed face: “Eighth Young Master, I am not going to give in until Young Miss gives the green light!”
A frown quickly formed on Ye Feng Yu’s suave face: “Ling er, you better get out of my way for if I can’t make it to the ability assessment, I will be kick out of the Academy!”
“No, Ling’er refuses to step aside! Your leg has yet to recover!” Zi Ling retorted back stubbornly as she had not forgotten about her Miss’ instructions and was determined to keep him in.
Ye Qing Luo finally understood what the ruckus was about.
Today was the day the ability assessment was conducted in the Heavenly Academy.
It was extremely important to the students as it determined the class they would be allocated to.
Because this would be the final call to predestine how their future path lead.
No wonder her brother would do anything to go for the ability assessment.
Ye Qing Luo motioned to Zi Ling to step aside.
Her stoned cold eyes fixed on Ye Feng Yu as she approached towards him.
He felt the chill made its way to his nape before he lowered his lids: “Sis, Sister…..”
“You wish to participate in the assessment?” Ye Qing Luo speak out lightly.
The young man franticly raised his eyes and quickly lowered his head when he caught a glimpse of her sight.
He bit his lower lips as he hesitated.
For a long while, he remained silent until a soft murmur blurted out from him: “Uh-huh.”
“Why?” Her tone remained so flat that you could hardly detect any other emotions.
The tooth marks on his lower lips went deeper that you could almost see the blood veins burst any moment.
He gripped his fists tightly as his body quivered and in that instant, Ye Feng Yu took a deep breath and lifted his head with a determined look on his face.
He fixed his sight against hers and made out his sentence unquestionably: “I want to prove my worth, I want to get into the high profound class. I want to gain a name.”
Yes, the Heavenly Academy was his dream goal.
“I want to become stronger and protect my sister and getting into the Heavenly Academy is the only way to do so.”
“Are you confident?” Her eyes turned mellow as the corner of her lips broke into a grin.
Ye Feng Yu nodded his head hard.
“Alright, I trust you.” Ye Qing Luo lifted her fingers and tousled his hair gently. “The path for the strong needs to be carved out bit by bit on your own, and once you are on the journey there is no retreat. You will be on your own and results will be determined by your perseverance. Have you thought this through?”
He nodded harder again without any misgivings.
Relief brought a smile to her lips.
She saw the potential ability in her brother.
She had used the most appropriate method to inspire his fighting spirit.
Presumably, it would not be long before the Three Spring Sect would emerge another profound talent.
Ye Qing Luo lowered her body and knelt next to Ye Feng Yu, as she gently brushed her fingers against his knees.
The instant she made contact with his skin, she could feel the tension on his muscles stiffened on his shaky legs.
The injury was more severe than she had imagined.
He had recuperated for three days and it had yet to recover fully.
Ye Qing Luo searched within the Phoenix Ring and fished out a white jade bottle: “Take one now, it can seal up the pain for now. But…. once the drug effect subsides, I am afraid your leg will have to bear ten times the current pain….”
Ye Feng Yu smiled composedly as he took the medicine bottle to pour out a pill and popped it in his mouth without a moment’s hesitation.
