Chapter 6107 Starting a Slaughter

Chapter 6107 Starting a Slaughter

“Damn Lifehunter race, you won’t get away with this!”

Furious roars echoed through the valley, the voices trembling with rage and grief.

Within the mountain basin, the ground was soaked in violet blood. Millions of violet blood experts were fighting desperately, but it was a losing battle.

The Lifehunter race experts moved like ghosts across the battlefield. Every flicker of their silhouettes left behind a fresh corpse.

Their cold laughter and cruel taunts blended with the dying screams, turning the valley into a true hell on earth.

“Hmph, trash. Your violet blood race has already abandoned you. Only my Lifehunter race still values you. Dying by our hands will make you worth something.”

“The blood soul crystals we refine from your corpses will let us birth even more experts. Your deaths... won’t be in vain.”

The Lifehunter top experts sneered as they closed in, completely surrounding the violet blood survivors. Their eyes were devoid of pity—only delight danced in them as they watched the slaughter.

To them, the splattering blood looked like blooming flowers. They grinned cruelly.

Among their ranks were over ten second Heavenstage Sovereign Lords, dozens of first Heavenstage Sovereign Lords, and hundreds of ordinary Sovereign Lords. Yet, none of them had moved.

It wasn’t even necessary.

Only a few hundred Human Emperors were doing the killing. Each one was a Sovereign sprout, young and brimming with potential. And yet, that was more than enough.

The last Sovereign Lord of the violet blood race had just fallen to a coordinated attack by several Lifehunter race’s geniuses. Now, with no Sovereign Lords left, the remainder were lambs to the slaughter.

“Kill!”

The Lifehunter Human Emperors pounced like starving wolves, sparing no one—not even the children.

But then—

Whoosh—

A tide of blood-colored flower petals swept across the sky, annihilating those Human Emperors in an instant.

“Who’s there?!” someone bellowed.

But there was no answer. Only more petals.

The petals tore through the battlefield like blades of judgment. All Lifehunters, save for the second Heavenstage Sovereign Lords, were slain.

A massive hand then surged out from within the swirling petals, grabbing one of the surviving Sovereign Lords.

Crack!

His skull exploded in that grip. At the same time, a wave of Spiritual Strength invaded his dying soul— it was a forceful soulsearch.

Moments later, an arctic wind swept through the area. The remaining second Heavenstage Sovereign Lords were instantly frozen, transformed into ice statues.

“Mom, bring them over. I’ll deal with these bastards!”

Long Chen’s voice was cold and steady. The soulsearch had told him everything—this was merely an ordinary branch of the violet blood race.

When attacked, their leader had understood there was no escape. Hence, he ordered everyone to split up, hoping that some might survive through luck.

Long Chen immediately headed off in the direction the memory fragments had pointed to.

A day later, Long Chen came back with a gloomy expression. Luo Ningshuang felt her heart sink the moment she saw his face.

Long Zhantian patted his son’s shoulder in consolation.

This... was the worst-case scenario.

The violet blood disciples had split into over ten groups, but only one had been lucky enough to encounter Long Chen and the others. The rest had been butchered.

Luo Ningshuang couldn’t help but cry when she saw the forlorn expressions on the children’s faces.

Having just lost their families, they were sleeping from grief and exhaustion.

As a mother, this was the most painful scene for Luo Ningshuang.

Of the Lifehunter Sovereign Lords they had captured, only three were alive. The rest had been executed—brutally—by Luo Ningshuang. With her fury, their deaths were far from quick.

These last three survived only because Long Zhantian had intervened. He planned to bring them back to Sovereign Mountain for interrogation.

Their souls were sealed with high-level restrictions, making normal soulsearching useless. But Sovereign Mountain perhaps had ways of prying the truth from them.

“Don’t blame yourself. Our power is limited,” said Long Zhantian, gently comforting his wife. “We need to get back to Sovereign Mountain and report this. Maybe we can still stop the worst of it.”

Luo Ningshuang’s heart was broken. She wanted to save more of her people, but she was helpless.

Now, they needed to escort the survivors and the Lei family children to the Sovereign Mountain. The road ahead would be dangerous.

Long Zhantian was powerful, but he couldn’t protect everyone alone. They had no choice but to press forward and endure.

Still, just imagining how other branches of the violet blood race were being massacred right now... it felt like a blade was carving her heart.

“Dad, you and Mom should take them to Sovereign Mountain. I have other matters to handle,” said Long Chen suddenly.

Long Zhantian was taken aback, but he quickly understood what Long Chen meant.

With a frown, he said, “With your current strength, it’s dangerous to face a third Heavenstage Sovereign Lord alone.”

“Dad, don’t worry. I’m not alone,” Long Chen replied.

Long Zhantian nodded slowly. He assumed Long Chen planned to gather the Dragonblood Legion.

Turning to his mother, Long Chen said, “Mom, the heavens refuse to let us be together. They allowed our reunion... only to pull us apart again. But I—your child—carry violet blood as well. I can’t ignore this. I have to fight for them.”

“Chen-er...” Luo Ningshuang muttered as she rubbed her son’s face.

Seeing his determined gaze, she knew what he was planning to do.

She didn’t want Long Chen to leave—not after finally finding him again. But when she looked at the weeping children, her resistance shattered.

Every child reminded her of Long Chen.

That pain was something only she knew.

“Be careful! Mom will wait for you in Sovereign Mountain!” she said, pulling him into a fierce hug.

After comforting her, Long Chen turned to his father. The two men exchanged a silent nod. Then, Long Chen summoned his lightning wings and shot into the skies like a bolt of fury.

“Zhantian, am I useless?” Luo Ningshuang whispered, tears falling as she watched her son disappear.

“What are you talking about?” Long Zhantian said gently, holding her. “You’ve already done so much. It’s time for you to let us bear your burden. As long as we’re here—even if the heavens fall—we’ll hold them up.”

Long Zhantian gently hugged his wife. He looked toward the horizon, pride glowing in his eyes.

Only he truly understood how strong Long Chen was, and how terrifying his potential could become.

He believed in his son.

...

“Lifehunter race...”

Long Chen’s teeth ground together. The killing intent in his chest was no longer just rage—it had taken the form of a flame.

When Long Chen saw the corpses of the children, something in him had nearly snapped.

The Lifehunter race... was a pack of animals.

“Today, I’ll make you repay your blood debt with blood!”

Long Chen had seen where they planned to regroup from the soulsearch. Without hesitation, he sped in that direction.

“Kill, kill, kill! Kill them all!”

Evilmoon’s roar echoed in his mind, infected by Long Chen’s fury. Its bloodlust surged—ready for a massacre.
