Chapter 3563 - Catfight 3
Chapter 3563 Catfight 3
“No. I think I can’t handle her now. I’ll talk to Mian about it.”
“But you can’t kick her out. Dr. Huo will be angry.”
“Of course. I know that.” Su Yu glanced at An in disdain.
He felt Han Yueyao was his nemesis. She refused to go to the movie release conference with him, refused to apologize for starting a fight, and even challenged his authority. She was impossible to deal with…
If not for her relationship with Mian, he would have picked her up and tossed her out.
At this moment, An received a WeChat message.
Reading it, he was surprised.
“President Su, are you… in touch with Miss Zeng?”
“What Miss Zeng?” In a foul mood, Su Yu didn’t understand his question.
“Miss Zeng Rou.”
“No, why ask?”
“She… is back.”
“Why?” Su Yu was curious.
“It seems she’s staying in the hospital for treatment.”
“Huh? How do you know it?”
“I noticed her updates in the Moments showed her location was at South Side. Thinking she was playing a prank, I left her a message. She just replied to me, asking if I can buy her lotus leaf rice noodles and deliver it to her.”
“Deliver to where?”
“South Side… President Su, are you still dazed by Han Yueyao’s impertinence? Your brain works really slow,” An complained.
Su Yu: “…”
“She’s at South Side? What’s she doing there?” Su Yu was puzzled.
“Who knows? Don’t you want to ask her?” An asked Su Yu tentatively.
“Forget it. I don’t want to ask.”
“I’ll ask.” With a sly smile, An sent Zeng Rou a voice message.
“Miss Zeng, how come you’re at South Side?”
“I’m staying in the hospital for treatment.” An turned on the speaker so they could both hear her voice.
“Really? What happened?”
“The old wound in my leg relapsed. The doctors here are better than those in the provincial capital. My dad let me come here for treatment.”
“My gosh. Why didn’t you tell us?”
“Why should I tell you? You’d think I’m using this excuse to see your President Su. I know he just doesn’t want to see me.”
Zeng Rou said it purposefully, knowing Su Yu must be with An.
Sure enough, Su Yu looked uneasy when he heard her words.
“That damned woman dares to badmouth me behind my back.”
“President Su, shall we go and visit Miss Zeng?”
“You visit her for me. Buy her a flower basket.”
Feeling nothing for Zeng Rou, Su Yu took out 1,000 yuan from his pocket and stuffed the money into An’s hand. Then he left.
“President Su, you’ll drive home by yourself?”
“No. I’ll go and have a drink with Shen Mingxi.”
Tossing the words over his shoulder, Su Yu left.
With the 1,000 yuan Su Yu gave to him, An drove to South Side to see Zeng Rou.
– Meanwhile in the office of the chief of the municipal public security bureau –
Qin Chu and Gao Ran sat across from each other, having tea.
“With Fourth Master Fang dead, all the clues are cut off. We can’t find the people who offered big money to buy Mian. We don’t know if Zeng Rou was involved in it. Chu, do you want to continue the investigation?”
Gao Ran and Qin Chu reviewed the case carefully and found many leads and suspicious spots, but those people cut off all these clues. They were horrible killers; no one could escape from them.
Qin Chu dared not imagine what would happen to Mian if they got her.
“Don’t forget Fourth Master Fang got in touch with those guys through a man named Wang Zhi.” Qin Chu read the intelligence reports that his subordinates had gathered.
“Who’s Wang Zhi?” Gao Ran frowned.
“A drug dealer.”
“If we find him, we’ll find these guys. But is he still alive? Did they kill him, too?”
“He’s still alive. But he’s not in China; he’s in Thailand.”
“That’s tricky. We will have our hands tied if we try to catch someone in a foreign country. Only the interpol can do that.” Gao Ran shook his head, feeling the issue quite tricky.
“If my memory serves me right, Lu Yan should still be in Thailand,” said Qin Chu.
“You’ll ask your mighty sister-in-law to help you?” Gao Ran chuckled.
