My Special Ability is Perfect Replication

Chapter 237 - Terrifying Direbeasts, Indigestion

Chapter 237: Terrifying Direbeasts, Indigestion

“The probes have detected a wormhole inside the moon with dark bio-energy continuously spewing out onto this moon,” Leoux explained. “Therefore Ganymede is rich in dark bio-energy.”

Ling Jiu’s eyes flashed in excitement. “I would like to check out the wormhole. There should be any problem, right, Leoux?”

“Sure, no problem,” Leoux said. “The galactic life forms might be powerful, but it is impossible for them to break through the Leoux’s defenses. The Leoux will blow them into pieces if they ever dare to attack.”

Ling Jiu listened on and his eyes brightened up. Yes, the Leoux was not an ordinary spacecraft but a top-tier biological civilization in the universe.

Its sturdiness and weapon system were absolutely the top-notch. So what was the galactic life form to it?

A crazy thought came to mind with this thinking in mind. “Leoux, I want to turn this moon into my private territory,” Ling Jiu said.

Leoux was stunned, and then laughed. “Do you mean you are going to kill all the creatures that pose a threat to you on this planet?”

“That’s right.” Ling Jiu kept nodding. “You should know that I have replicated the Inner World of the Flame Astral Behemoth. I can continuously refine energy. Bio-energy can strengthen my physical body, and dark bio-energy can improve my cultivation base.”

Leoux’s eyes brightened up to this point.

“For me, those powerful beings are nourishment for improving my strength,” Ling Jiu said with blazing eyes.

“You are now a pocket version of the Flame Astral Behemoth, with Ultimate Physique, Spawn Split, and Inner World arcanas. With these abilities, you can continuously improve your strength. Sick! You are sick!”

Leoux kept nodding its head. “I’ll help you hunt down those creatures on this moon. They can’t stand a chance in front of the Leoux’s cannon.”

“That’s great.” Ling Jiu was very excited. “But we are not in a hurry to hunt down those creatures. Let’s check out the wormhole first. I am eager to know what’s the secret of this wormhole.”

“Understood.”

Leoux said, then released the Leoux, and the two entered the spacecraft and went deeper into the ocean.

The Leoux was fast. In the blink of an eye, it had reached the bottom of the first ocean as a barrier appeared in front of them.

“This is a high-pressure ice layer with a thickness of about 10 kilometers. It separates the first layer and the second layer of the ocean.”

Leoux explained it casually, and then directed the Leoux to open up a dimensional passage. Without damaging the high-pressure ice layer, they easily reached the second-layer ocean.

Opening up a wormhole was extremely difficult, if not impossible, for a low-level civilization. But for a top-tier spacecraft like the Leoux, it was as easy as pie.

Of course, a short wormhole is a wormhole at all. At most it was a dimensional passage.

Entering the second layer of ocean and not long into the dive, Leoux spoke again.

“There is a Stellar-class marine life form following us, Ling Jiu.”

While speaking, columns of light came down with the snap of its singer. The light columns then formed into a 100-meter direbeast.

This monster looked like a giant python, but it had a hard shell, like a crab and eight tails, just like an octopus.

“Because we are inside the spacecraft, we can’t see what’s outside. The monster you see now is a simulation of the scene outside,” Leoux said.

“No wonder.”

Only then Ling Jiu knew it was a simulation. No wonder he could not sense the slightest energy from the monster in front of him.

“This direbeast belongs to the Class-Two Stellar life form,” Leoux said. “It’s not overly strong. But bumping into a Class-Two Stellar life form as soon as we are in the second-layer ocean matches the information we have collected earlier.”

“Can you capture it alive, Leoux?”

Ling Jiu’s eyes lit up. “I have accumulated too much bio-energy in my body, and only high-intensity battles can I digest it.”

“I got you.” Leoux nodded slightly. “The Leoux has a special detention room. It can hold even the most powerful creature with no issue.”

Ling Jiu’s eyes lit up, and he had no more hesitation. “Do it now.”

“Understood.”

Following Ling Jiu’s order, the Leoux shot out a black light to envelop the direbeast that looked like a python.

The next second, this direbeast disappeared into thin air, and when it reappeared, it was suspended and held up inside the Leoux.

The Leoux had a spacious interior, with black earth and purple sky, almost no difference from the inside of a planet at first glance.

At this moment, that direbeast was confined in midair. By the looks of its eyes, it must be struggling frantically to escape.

But struggling was useless.

No way it could get away.

“So you have just caught alive?” Ling Jiu exclaimed in awe. “The Leoux is absolutely powerful!”

“Of course.” Leoux smiled faintly. “Put it in detention?”

“Yes.” Ling Jiu nodded.

“OK.”

The ground in the distance suddenly split open with the snap of fingers of Leoux. A black beam of light shone and engulfed the direbeast.

Immediately afterwards, the direbeast disappeared into thin air while the earth closed back up and the light subsided. Everything returned to normal.

“The direbeast is now held in the spaceship. Will it die here?”

Ling Jiu looked at the place where the direbeast disappeared with worries.

“The tenaciousness of the stellar life form is beyond your imagination. Even if you place it in outer space, it will live forever,” Leoux said.

“That’s good!”

The Mothership continued to dive and encountered many Stellar-class direbeasts along the way. Ling Jiu had only one thing in mind: capture them.

When the Leoux reached the second ocean bottom, over 62 Stellar-class direbeasts had been captured. Many of them were Class-8 and even -9 terrifying stellar life forms.

Finally, there was the third layer of ocean.

The direbeasts in this ocean were obviously scarcer, but each one was extremely powerful.

When they dived to 210 kilometers of depth, Ling Jiu saw the first galactic creature that surpassed the stellar life form.

This was a whale-like direbeast, over 1,000-meter long, with hard scales of metallic luster, and its mouth full of fangs. Its enormous body was far more terrifying than the Crimson Fire Dragon and the Dark Devil Dragon.

Standing in front of this creature was like standing at the foot of a gigantic mountain. It made one feel incredibly tiny, as if it could crush people into dead meat with the swing of its tail.

It was terrible. It felt terrifying to watch, even through simulation. How would it feel when standing in front of it in person?

Ling Jiu could not imagine it.

“Can you catch it, Leoux?” Ling Jiu swallowed and asked.

“There is no difference between a Galactic-class and Stellar-class direbeast in front of the Leoux,” Leoux said. It snapped its fingers again and this 1,000-meter Galactic-class direbeast vanished.

A never-seen-before horror energy radiated from this direbeast. Ling Jiu felt his shoulders sinking, and he almost fell to the ground.

When he looked over at Bai Ya, he saw her panting, her face pale, and panic filling her eyes, as if she had seen something horrible.

“Is this a Galactic-class life form?”

Ling Jiu gasped as he could feel the air turning viscous, just like mercury.

There was no obstruction to breathing earlier. But now, even the simple act of breathing was difficult.

The air had become heavy.

“Can you kill it, Leoux?” Ling Jiu licked his lips.

“As you wish.”

Leoux smiled faintly and pointed forward with a finger.

A bloody glow shot out from the blood moon in the sky and struck the head of this whale-like direbeast.

The next moment, the direbeast stiffened, and its eyes gradually closed.

It was dead.

It was killed in one blow.

“Is it dead, Leoux?” Ling Jiu was in disbelief. “How did you do it?”

“You need to use its body, so I have just annihilated its soul,” Leoux said. “In this way, its body will remain perfectly intact for you to boost your strength.”

“Annihilate the soul?”

Ling Jiu got chills. Fortunately, he did not recklessly open a wormhole to enter the Leoux. Otherwise, he could not imagine what would have happened to him.

Things were hard to predict.

Ling Jiu felt extremely grateful at this moment.

“Don’t you want to swallow it, Ling Jiu?” Leoux did not know what Ling Jiu was thinking. It just felt curious. “Show me the ability that you have replicated from the Flame Astral Behemoth.”

Ling Jiu came out of his thoughts and nodded. As he activated the Devourer, a terrifying black hole emerged with violent, devouring force.

Had this direbeast been still alive, he could not have swallowed it with his level of ability.

But it was now dead.

So it did not take him much effort to swallow it.

“So this is the Devourer arcana of the Flame Astral Behemoth?” Leoux’s eyes lit up. “This ability and the Inner World are the killer skills of the Flame Astral Behemoth to devour other Astral Behemoths.”

“Really?”

Ling Jiu smiled but said nothing. Not that he wanted to act cool. Just that the flame of the Inner World was having a hard time consuming the direbeast that he had just swallowed.

This direbeast was as if a stone. No matter how intense the fire was, it did not budge. It was incredibly tough.

“I thought the more powerful the creature that I swallow is, the better. It seems that this is not the case.” Ling Jiu shook his head and forced a smile. “There will be indigestion if it is overly massive.”

“What’s wrong?” Leoux wondered.

“This direbeast is too tough. I can’t digest it in a short time in the Inner World.”

“This is entirely normal.” Leoux understood very well. “Even the true Flame Astral Behemoth will not swallow too much food, because it is difficult to digest.”

“Yeah.”

The Leoux continued to descend.

Ten minutes later, it finally came to the bottom of the third-layer ocean.

This time the bottom of the sea was no longer a high-pressure ice layer, but a seabed of rocks and silt.

This sea floor was the same as the seafloor on Earth, meaning the Leoux had finally arrived inside of Ganymede.

“Ling Jiu, look, over there!”

While Leoux spoke, rays of light shone down to form a colorful sphere. Ling Jiu could not have been more familiar with this thing—it was a wormhole.
