Yao Si felt an unfamiliar surge of energy rushing through her and exploding outwards with her anger. As an orphan, she had to endure and experience much more than others, so she had cultivated a mild temperament and carefree nature. This was then the first time she felt the desire to kill.
With a flicker of a thought, the energy came gushing out of her, and the firewall grew exponentially. Its red sparks turned blue, and the next moment it morphed into a blue dragon rushing into the skies.
The dragon roared, turning the skies into a fiery ocean as it headed straight for Mr. Lu.
"Its a fire dragon! This definitely isn't part of any Tripe-S abilities, how can that be? Who exactly are you?" Mr. Lu stilled in disbelief. He had never expected her fire ability to be of such an advanced level. Stumbling backwards, he anxiously shouted at the zombiefied bloodlings, "Where's the water series bloodlings? Hurry and attack!"
Almost instantly, three water ability bloodlings directed their abilities toward the incoming fire dragon. With a loud splash, the base flooded with water, but it still wasn't enough to stop the fire dragon that was rushing toward Mr. Lu.
"Hurry, stop her!" he shouted out with anxiety. But it was too late, for the fire dragon was already in front of him. Even though the water attacks had weakened it slightly, it still possessed frightening heat.
Mr. Lu staggered backwards, hiding behind the four armed guards as he cried in pain. The fire dragon swooped down, engulfing the four guards. This saved Mr.Lu from a fiery demise, though his clothes were all burnt.
Yao Si took a slow step forward. With another wave of her arm, another fire dragon formed, heading straight for Mr. Lu once again.
"You-you-you stay away!" Mr. Lu tugged at his burnt clothes haphazardly, then returned to his optical computer. Once again, the deafening alarm pierced the air. "Hurry, stop her! All you specimens, stop her!"
The bloodlings bolted upwards, their eyes a painful shade of red. In unison, they formed a human wall around Mr. Lu.
Yao Si had a strong urge to smash him into pieces, for the bloodlings in front of him sent yet another surge of fury through her. The flame within her seethed and simmered, threatening to engulf her entirely. Instinctively, the energy gushed out once more. "Move aside!"
She suddenly had a vague sensation of a suppressing force sweeping across the base. It was both familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. Once the others felt it as well, they froze. The bloodlings with bloody eyes and pained expressions suddenly paused, becoming motionless as though their acupuncture points had been pressed. Then, like one, they all fell to their knees.
"What's happening? What are you doing?" Mr. Lu glanced at the collapsed bloodlings, then reached forward to grab the nearest one. "Hurry and stop her, hurry!"
The bloodlings continued to kneel without emotion, disregarding his words. Mr. Lu grew increasingly more frantic, and once again, the weird alarm rang out. This time, unlike before, the bloodlings remained motionless.
Yao Si substituted the fire dragon with a lightning ability, and with a thundering clap, it struck Mr. Lu's right arm. A shrill cry pierced the air, and his originally white sleeve was stained with blood and flesh.
"That strike was for Luo Ying!" Yao Si walked forward slowly, her ability still activated. She chose another ability, and thousands of icicles came crashing down at the madman.
"This one is for Nephew Gu!"
This time, she picked an earth ability.
"This strike is for all the earth series bloodlings!"
This time gold ability!
"This strike is for all the gold series bloodlings!"
This time...
After going through all the abilities, Yao Si finally reached his side. She had deliberately suppressed her full strength so he would remain alive, and now the originally proud and elegant master had been turned into a bloody mess. Aside from his face, the rest of him was covered in bruises and blood that gushed without end. It was a pity he wasn't a bloodling.
Right then, Yao Si lifted her foot and kicked hard at a certain area between his feet. "This strike is for me!"
Ah...
The man curled into a ball, whimpering out in pain, his face convoluted.
"You can tell me now! Where's the bloodling you caught before Luo Ying?"
"You… will never find out..."
"Bai Yi!" Yao Si turned over to glance behind her.
"Here!" Without conscious thought, Bai Yi had also went down on his knees at some point in time. At the moment she called, though, he shot to his feet, even if his face was still tainted with a hint of confusion from before.
"Read his mind!" She pointed at Mr. Lu.
"Ah! Ah? But my ability isn't..."
"Read!"
"Yes!" Bai Yi activated his ability instinctively.
The next moment, as expected, words appeared above Mr. Lu's head.
[Never had Lu Hangyi he expected that his hard work of so many years would be destroyed by two intruders. These narrow-minded bloodlings had no idea how sacrificial and noble his research was. It was horrible what had happened to him, but at least he could still keep secret the special bloodling he'd just gotten his hands on. After all, Lu Hangyi had already went through a mental training, so they won't be able to learn anything from his thoughts. However, he had no clue about Yao Si's intentions, that with the help of Lord of Subtitles, she'll be able to find Gu Shucheng who's on the verge of a breakdown and who's kept in a seemingly transparent door on the right side of the first floor. P.S. Lord of Subtitles supports sending Mr. Lu to his grave.]
"Heh, stop wasting your energy, you won't—"
"He's inside the transparent room." Before Lu Hangyi could finish his sentence, Yao Si pointed to the transparent storage room.
"What! How did you—"
Yao Si activated the wind ability, and with a loud smashing sound, the glass doors shattered, exposing a laboratory similar to the one in basement five. Gu Shucheng whom they had been searching for the entire time was hanging in the middle of the room, his entire body covered in blood.
"Shucheng!" Luo Ying bolted toward him without any regard for her own injuries. The girl that had struggled to put on a brave front despite her condition now broke down completely and tears came streaming down her face. With trembling hands, she reached out to hug the man in front of her, but then hesitated, afraid to harm him. As she hurriedly released him from the restraints, she continuously whimpered, "Shucheng… Shucheng..."
Gu Shucheng was soaked in blood, some of it dried up while some was still fresh and flowing. At the front of his chest was a glaring piece of meat that was an entirely different shade from the rest of his skin. It took Shucheng a long while to regain his senses even if Luo Ying whimpering nonstop by his side.
"Ying?" He froze, worry flashing past his face. "What are you doing here! You—"
"Don't worry, everything's under control," Bai Yi explained. He swept Yao Si a complicated glance. "It's… President... She saved us."
"Presi—" Gu Shucheng followed his gaze over to Yao Si, and his eyes went wide. "Your— Wait a moment! What time is it?" He straightened as though struck. "Have you gone home for your meal?"
Luo Ying, "..."
Bai Yi, "..."
Yao Si, "..."
Trust you to remember that! Responsible indeed...
