Jiang Nuan was restless, itching to call and ask, but after thinking it over, she decided against it. Since Fu Yi texted instead of calling her like he used to, it meant he couldn’t call right now. If he were in a meeting, calling him would be awkward.
Her mind was preoccupied, and the milk tea on the table lost its flavor.
Old Madam Fu noticed she had been absent-minded since she began using her phone. Sipping her tea, she calmly asked, "What’s wrong? Did something happen? Who are you texting?"
Jiang Nuan, burdened with thoughts, looked up and didn’t deceive her, "Fu Yi texted me asking me to wait for him at the first bench outside the square on Chang’an Street, but he’s in Hechuan County. I don’t know why he wants me to go there. I texted him, but he didn’t reply or tell me when exactly to go. I’m wondering when I should head over."
"He texted you and asked you to go there?"
"Yes."

Old Madam Fu said with a grin, "Why don’t you head over now? If he’s asked, he might almost be there."

"Me?"
Old Madam Fu chuckled, waving her hand, amused, "I can go home on my own. I’m old enough; you don’t need to worry about me. Rest assured, there’s someone with me, and there’s a doctor too, so nothing will happen. You go ahead, I’m tired from shopping and plan to take a nap."
Seeing that she really had a doctor, a butler, and a chauffeur with her, Jiang Nuan relaxed a bit and didn’t hesitate, agreeing, "Okay, Grandma, I’ll go and be back soon."
She wanted to see what that person was up to, asking her to go to Chang’an Street—had he really sneaked back?

Old Madam Fu didn’t insist, her expression relaxed, "Alright then, be careful on the way."

Old Madam Fu covered her mouth, laughing, growing increasingly fond of her, waving, "Goodbye."
After Jiang Nuan left, she got up and sighed to the butler beside her, "Hope that cheeky boy can win Nuannuan back this time."
The butler, sharing her sentiment, supported her arm, coaxing her happily, "Young Master will surely win her back!"
