Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 637 - Great Eye!

Chapter 637: Great Eye!

The manager respectfully served Fu Huai’an coffee and said, smiling, “The works have all been done via microscopic carving based on your requirements. It can only be noticed if one touches it in detail. I hope that Mrs. Fu will be pleased!”

After ascertaining that these were the wedding rings that he wanted, Fu Huai’an nodded and let the staff member wrap them up.

When Fu Huai’an came down, he coincidentally saw the scene of Lu Jinnan picking out jewelry at the counter.

Lu Jinnan picked a thin and beautiful single diamond necklace and let the staff member hold it to her neck for demonstration. He shook his head, feeling a little dissatisfied, and the staff member quickly recommended another two designs. Lu Jinnan placed them on his hand and observed them in detail.

Fu Huai’an narrowed his eyes slightly. Since when did Lu Jinnan also have his ideas straightened and know that he should give girls gifts?

He was in no hurry to head for the VIP elevator, so he took long strides up to Lu Jinnan and saw that he was undecided between two necklaces…

One was a single diamond necklace with an effortless design, while the other was a beautiful and extravagant necklace with exquisite and complicated workmanship.

Lu Jinnan had always had difficulty choosing gifts for girls. He looked at them with a great headache, gave it some thought, and said, “Wrap them both up!”

“Bai Xiaonian is more suited to the single diamond necklace!” Fu Huai’an walked up to Lu Jinnan and smiled, saying, “If you were to give the extravagant and exquisite one to Bai Xiaonian, she’d probably just put it away!”

Moreover, if Lu Jinnan were to give both to Bai Xiaonian, she would probably doubt how attentive he was.

Lu Jinnan probably hadn’t expected that Fu Huai’an would come down so quickly and was given a fright…

He had lied about making a call earlier and ended up picking out a necklace for Bai Xiaonian. Lu Jinnan was a little awkward, and he put one hand in his pocket and rubbed his nose with the index finger of the other hand. He said to the staff member, “Then I’ll take this. Wrap it up.”

Fu Huai’an narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at Lu Jinnan with great interest. “Why have you suddenly thought of giving a gift to Bai Xiaonian?”

“Who said that it’s for Bai Xiaonian? Can’t I be giving it to someone else?” Lu Jinnan tried to conceal his awkwardness by saying this.

The corners of Fu Huai’an’s lips curled up into a shadow of a smile.

Lu Jinnan couldn’t stand the smile in the depths of Fu Huai’an’s eyes. He cleared his throat and said seriously, “I saw that you still weren’t coming down after I made my call. I had wanted to go up and look for you, but I saw that there was a necklace that looked quite nice, so I decided to get her one. All girls should like these, right?”

Fu Huai’an didn’t expose Lu Jinnan and nodded. “Great eye!”

Lin Nuan had already coaxed Tuan Tuan to sleep, but Fu Huai’an still hadn’t returned home. Lin Nuan opened her phone and was just about to call him when she saw a message that Fu Huai’an had sent her when she was giving Tuan Tuan a bath.

Fu Huai’an said that he’d be back around 10:30 pm and said that if Lin Nuan was tired, she could go ahead and sleep first.

Lin Nuan replied to the message and told Fu Huai’an to be careful on the road when she suddenly felt her stomach aching slightly. She went to the washroom to take a look and realized that her period had come.

Ever since they stopped taking precautions, Lin Nuan had felt as if there had been things on her mind. She kept on wondering if she’d get pregnant, to the extent that she was a little obsessed.

Although the sudden arrival of her period meant that their baby hadn’t come, Lin Nuan felt that there was one less thing on her mind, at least before her next ovulation period.

There were only pads and two daytime sanitary napkins at home. Lin Nuan’s flow on the first day tended to be heavier, so she needed to head out to buy more.

When Lin Nuan went downstairs, Auntie Li was still cleaning up the counters in the kitchen. Lin Nuan told Auntie Li that she was heading out and changed her shoes to buy sanitary napkins. She asked if there was anything else that needed to be bought.

“There’s nothing much. Madam, wear thicker clothes! It’s cold outside!” Auntie Li told Lin Nuan.

“I got it!” Lin Nuan smiled and picked up the coat that was hung at the entrance and put it on. She opened the door and headed out. The cold wind blew strongly at her, causing her to unconsciously wrap the coat tightly around herself.

She walked out of Tianfu Bay under the dim street lights as a light drizzle came down, misting up the views across the entirety of Haicheng.

Lin Nuan bought sanitary napkins at the 24/7 convenience store nearby and came out holding a small black plastic bag when Fu Huai’an called.

Lin Nuan stood at the convenience store’s entrance with one hand wrapping her coat tightly and the other bringing her phone to her ear. “Huai’an!”

When she spoke, the air that was blurred by the drizzle fogged up.

“I’ve gotten off the plane and will arrive home in at most two hours…” Fu Huai’an said in a soft voice.

“En! Alright, I’ll wait for you!” Lin Nuan smiled, her eyes gleaming.

Lin Nuan’s gaze moved and landed on the black Mercedes parked across the road. Her gaze paused.

The man standing under the tree and wearing a cap was leaning against the door to the driver’s seat, smoking. Even though it was just his back view and he was wearing a cap, Lin Nuan could tell that it was Wen Moshen.

“Is there any food at home?”

Fu Huai’an’s deep, powerful, and alluring voice rang out from the other end of the phone. Lin Nuan calmly turned her gaze away, pulled up her sweater’s hood, wrapped her coat tightly around herself, and walked down the stairs, heading into Tianfu Bay.

“Yes! There are handmade noodles. Although Auntie Li made the noodles, I kneaded the dough myself. Do you want to try some?” The corners of Lin Nuan’s lips curled up uncontrollably, and even her voice was filled with heart-throbbing love.

It wasn’t that Lin Nuan was heartless and didn’t bother to go over and greet Wen Moshen even though she had recognized him.

It was just that given how the truth between herself and Wen Moshen had been exposed, any contact with Wen Moshen now would let him have the delusion that Lin Nuan still had feelings for him.

Her heart was already with Fu Huai’an, and with how Wen Moshen appeared as if he couldn’t let things go, Lin Nuan must be more careful and keep her distance from him.

“Alright, wait for me to go back!”

After hanging up the phone, Lin Nuan was about to run back when she heard Wen Moshen calling out.

She paused slightly and turned her head. The big hood blocked a bit of her vision, and she saw Wen Moshen anxiously running toward Tianfu Bay’s entrance. However, it seemed as if he was feeling a little giddy and was holding onto the car’s hood.

Lin Nuan pursed her lips.

When Wen Moshen felt a little better, he jogged across the road and stood before Lin Nuan.

Wen Moshen was even thinner than before, and Lin Nuan could faintly see white bandages under his cap.

It had been a while since the operation, and Wen Moshen’s recovery was still quite good.

Earlier on, Wen Moshen was about to leave. However, when he bent over to open the door to the front passenger’s seat, he saw Lin Nuan’s back view and couldn’t help but call out to her.

“I was still hesitating about whether I should give you a call. It’s such a coincidence that you’ve come out!” Wen Moshen’s voice was a little hoarse from the smoking, and the white fog that came out from his lips as he spoke stood out.

Lin Nuan didn’t say anything. Her palm-sized face looked even more exquisite under the hooded sweater she was wearing. Her eyes appeared very calm, not glimmering like stars as they used to when she saw him.

A short moment later, Lin Nuan spoke up, wearing a courteous and distant smile as she asked, “Has Brother Moshen recovered?”

“En!” Wen Moshen nodded and said, “Moshi said that he met you in the Night Palace the other day.”

Lin Nuan nodded. Wen Moshen nodded as well.

“I’m here to bid you goodbye. My parents are going to go overseas with me for me to recuperate in a quiet environment. After experiencing so much, I feel that life is the most important…”
